Fibra Óptica de un altísimo nivel de capilaridad que le ha permitido desarrollar negocios junto con el resto de sus
filiales que pertenecen al Grupo Empresarial asi como con sus asociados de Negocios.

La Red de Próxima Generación (NGN) de TELCONET es una plataforma de comunicaciones que permite dar
servicios de acceso desde los 1 Mbps hasta múltiples lambdas de 10 Gbps. En cada ciudad donde TELCONET
tiene presencia nuestra plataforma es certificada Cisco.
En los servicios de transporte de datos, TELCONET ofrece la tecnología MPLS L2/L3 de Cisco para los enlaces
urbanos e interurbanos, lo cual da garantía de calidad de servicio y modernidad a la red, adicionalmente canales
de datos sincrónicos Clear Channel en formatos SDH (E1, DS3, STM1, STM16, STM64) y en formatos DWM (1 Gbps,
10 Gbps).

TELCONET a través de su Filial Cable Andino es signataria del Pacific Caribbean Cable Systems (PCCS), el cual
se encuentra construyendo un nuevo cable submarino que conectará Ecuador, Panamá, Colombia, Aruba,
Curaçao, Las Islas Vírgenes Británicas y Puerto Rico con Estados Unidos. Para tal efecto se ha firmado ya el
correspondiente contrato de provisión con Alcatel Submarine Networks. Por medio del PCCS se impulsará el
acceso de banda ancha en el Caribe, América Central y América del Sur.

Cartagena
Además de USA y Ecuador, el sistema se conectará con las Islas Vírgenes Británicas, Puerto Rico, Aruba y
Curaçao, así como con Cartagena en Colombia y con María Chiquita y Balboa en Panamá.
TECNOLOGÍA UTILIZADA
El sistema de cable submarino es de última tecnología (planta húmeda, fibra y repetidores optimizados) y
está administrado bajo el sistema 1620LM (Light Manager Terminal) de Alcatel-Lucent. Ha sido diseñado para
operar múltiples Longitudes de Onda de 100Gigas. El mismo constituirá la conexión más importante a los
contenidos de internet ya que la demanda crece rápidamente en todo el Caribe, América Central y América
del Sur. Los trabajos comenzaron a fines del año 2012 y las operaciones comerciales están programadas para
comenzar en el tercer trimestre del año 2014.
La solución generada por Alcatel-Lucent ofrece una flexibilidad única y escalabilidad para dar cabida a
múltiples longitudes de onda de velocidad de datos.
El sistema 1620 LM permite la actualización sin problemas en la capacidad de la red flexible para la separación
de canales sin interrupción del tráfico.
La solución es administrada por Alcatel-Lucent de extremo a extremo del sistema de gestión submarino.
SERVICIOS OFRECIDOS POR TELCONET POR EL PCCS:
El PCCS será la principal salida del Ecuador a los contenidos de internet y con él, TELCONET aumentará la fiabilidad
de las comunicaciones y ayudará a reducir el riesgo de interrupción de las comunicaciones.
Dentro de las posibilidades de servicio que TELCONET ofrecerá por el PCCS se encuentran los siguientes:

SUBMARINE CABLE SERVICES
TELCONET through its subsidiary Andinean Cable signed the Pacific Caribbean Cable Systems (PCCS), which is
building a new undersea cable linking Ecuador, Panama, Colombia, Aruba, Curacao, British Virgin Islands and
Puerto Rico with the U.S. . To this purpose it has signed the corresponding provision contract with Alcatel
Submarine Networks. Through PCCS will be boost broadband access in the Caribbean, Central America and South
America.

Besides USA and Ecuador, the system will connect to the British Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, Aruba and Curacao, as
well as Cartagena in Colombia and Maria Chiquita and Balboa in Panama.

TECHNOLOGY USED
The submarine cable system is the latest technology (wet plant, fiber and optimized repeaters) and is administered
under 1620LM (Light Terminal Manager) Alcatel-Lucent system. It has been designed to operate multiple
wavelengths 100Gigas. The same will be the most important connection to Internet content as demand grows
rapidly throughout the Caribbean, Central America and South America. Work began in late 2012 and commercial
operations are scheduled to begin in the third trimester of 2014.
The solution generated by Alcatel-Lucent offers unique flexibility and scalability to accommodate
multi-wavelength data rate.
The LM 1620 system allows smooth upgrade the flexible network capacity to separate channels without
interruption of traffic.
The solution is entirely operated by Alcatel-Lucent submarine management system
