Control de Su Salud"!
El año pasado, 17 personas de nuestra
parroquia se graduaron de este gran
programa que nos ayuda a vivir una
vida más saludable.
Ofrecido por el hospital, Saint Agnes
Medical Center, en colaboración con
Nuestra Señora de Las Victorias. Este
es un taller donde los participantes se
reúnen una vez a la semana por dos
horas y media un total de seis
semanas. Los participantes aprenden
técnicas para vivir y manejar su
condición crónica o simplemente vivir
una vida más saludable. Entre estas
aprenden: relajación, respiración
profunda, alimentación saludable,
actividad física, dormir mejor, etc.
Cada semana los participantes se fijan
una meta en su área de interés con el
propósito de mejorar su salud.

Welch who lost his daughter, Julie
Marie, in the 1995 bombing of the
Oklahoma City Federal Building.
In proclaiming the “Year of
Mercy” Pope Francis said, Mercy
and Justice “are not two
contradictory realities, but two
dimensions of a single reality that
unfolds progressively until it
culminates in the fullness of love.”
In the aftermath of the bombing
Bud lived that very “justice/
mercy” dynamic that tried his antideath penalty stance in a most
excruciating way.
Bud will speak at St. Paul
Newman Center in Fresno at
7:00 PM on May 18, 2016. Don’t

regain his footing after this
incredible blow to his heart.

We see these images in stained glass windows, websites
and other religious literatures. But where did they come
from and what do they mean?
Here is some
background…
Lamb with cross: “Lamb of God” imagery
dates back to the first Passover, when the
blood of the lamb was used to mark the
houses where the Israelites lived so that the
angel of death would pass over them. Later,
lambs were offered as sacrifices for sins, a
symbolism that found its ultimate fulfillment
in Jesus dying on the cross, once for all.
