It was a wonderful feast! Thank you all who cooked, prepared, cleaned up
and participated in our event. We had a good time. The Lord held off any serious
rain for our soccer game. Our St. Luke group evened out the score. Another
upcoming opportunity to see in action playing soccer in the 1st St. Benedict Cup,
Father Scott and 15 other priest of the Archdiocese of Portland Vs. Guardians of
Mt. Angel on October 30th at 3:30pm.
Fue una fiesta maravillosa! Gracias a todos los que cocinaron, prepararon,
limpiaron y participaron en nuestro evento. Nos las pasamos muy bien. El Señor
no se presentó con ninguna lluvia grande para nuestro juego de fútbol. Nuestro
grupo de San Lucas niveló el puntuaje. Otra próxima oportunidad de ver en acción
jugar fútbol en la Copa 1ra de St. Benedict, el Padre Scott y otros 15 sacerdotes
de la Arquidiócesis de Portland contra el seminario de Mt. Ángel el 30 de octubre
a las 3:30 pm.

Maximilian: St. of Aushwitz.

Aushwitz this year.

YOUNG ADULT BOWLING SOCIAL:
Bowling Night Social for St. Luke's Young Adults.
Monday, Oct. 24th at 6:30pm
This upcoming Monday for ages 18-35, the first games are on the Young Adult
Coordinator, Anthony. The prices for each game per person is only $1.50 so come
out for a great night on the lanes. We will share stories, laughter, and find out
who the best bowlers are. Bring your friends, spouse, or come on your own as
we are a welcoming group that takes God's Golden Rule to heart: love one
another as I have loved you. John 15:12.
We will meet in the St. Luke's parish parking lot and drive over to the bowling alley as a community.

WHEELS NEEDED/ RUEDAS NECECITADAS
Last year we were asking for the donation of a pick up.
Jorge Urzua, the man who donated has since gone to God. To
imagine that his generous donation to St. Luke served him well
at the gates of heaven. Now we ware seeking a passenger car for
the parish. We have two communities, the Sisters and the Jesuit
Volunteers who are handicaped of the lack of car transportation. A parish car
would be avaiable at times to each of these groups. If you happen to have a car to
donate please contact Father Coleman.

THANKSGIVING DINNER
We are only about a month away from this hallowed American Holiday. In the past there's
been floating around the idea of beginning a tradition at St. Luke's by sharing a meal on
thanksgiving. Now it looks like we may be hosting the large Thanksgiving
Day dinner that has been the project of the Woodburn Churches. We will be
looking for everyone's help. Stay tuned for upcoming bulletins and more
information regarding this event.

This is one of our Holy Days of Obligation. We are currently planning two masses for that day, 9am English and 6:45 Spanish.
We would normally offer vigil mass the night before. In this case it would fall on Halloween (which means the eve of All Hallows/Saints)
Let us know if a vigil would be helpful to you. This is a beautiful and meaningful feast day. We all hope to one day be in that number.

make an online gift. The best method to pay, that charges
us the least, is to enter your checking information for a
bank account transfer. These can be one time or recurring.
This can be helpful if you sometimes forget your donation
or for when you might be sick or on vacation.
The website also offers payment through debit and credit
cards, but these charge more of a fee to the parish. The
best way is to pay using your checking account.
