New assignments
Fr. Anderson has been
assigned as pastor of St.
Eugene Catholic Chapel
and Student Center in
Tallahassee, Florida. It is
located on the campus of
Florida A&M University
and is known as “The Chapel on the hill.” It is also the first African American Catholic church
founded in Florida.
Fr. Anderson’s mission will be to pastor the
chapel community and to engage with the Spanish
speaking people in the surrounding area. It should
be an exciting adventure for him. His assignment
commences on July 1st.
His final Sunday mass at Holy Name is today,
June 22nd. We have a reception in the auditorium
to thank him for his two years of service with us
and congratulate him on being named pastor. We
welcoming of Fr. Andy Vu to the Holy Name
Community.

and sister now live in
Tomball, TX. He has
been in Ecuador for the last six years but took
a transfer to the United States to be close to his
mother who is now in bad health. He is fluent
in English and Spanish and as far as I could
judge his Vietnamese is pretty good
