Reflexión Del Párroco
Querida familia de Santo Rosario,
El otoño es la temporada de los festivales o las kermesses en Minnesota. La semana pasada, nuestra parroquia vecina, San Esteban, celebró su kermesse. En
pocas semanas, ¡estaremos celebrandos nuestro propio
festival! En este festival celebraremos 134 años como parroquia,
y bendiciremos la estatua de Nuestra Santísima Madre (entre la
iglesia y las oficinas) que ha guardada la parroquia por 75 años
(gracias a la gentileza y devoción del Laicado Dominicano). Todavía hay tiempo para ofrecerse a ayudar en el festival, o donar
algunas cosas que podemos vender.
Fíjense que hayan marcados sus calendarios y vengan a compartir con sus parroquianos la diversión, comunidad y comida que
hacen famosa nuestra kermesse. Otra manera de ayudar es participar en la rifa. Se pueden comprar boletos o venderles a sus vecinos, parientes, o colegas de trabajo. Este año, quisiera sugerir que
invite a una persona nueva a asistir al festival, y a la Santa
Misa a las 11 también, tal vez. ¿Hay un vecino o amigo que nunca
asistió a Santo Rosario? ¡Invítalo a asistir con tu familia!
El festival de otoño es importante, no solamente para recaudar
fondos, sino para construir y expandir el Cuerpo de Cristo de nuestra Familia de Santo Rosario. Es una oportunidad de evangelizar al
mundo, no con la biblia en una mano, sino con una mano extendida en amistad e invitación. ¡Esta acción también es muy bíblica!
Entonces, invitemos a alguien nuevo a la kermesse del domingo, 7 de octubre que celebraremos nuestro cumpleaños. Somos
Santo Rosario, y tenemos una tradición muy larga de invitar a los
nuevos para unirse con nuestra familia.

Reflection of the Pastor
Dear family of Holy Rosary,
Fall is the season of festivals here in Minnesota. Last week our
neighboring parish, St. Stephen’s, celebrated their parish festival. In a
few weeks we will be celebrating our own! This will be our 134 th birthday as a parish, and we will have a special blessing for the Statue of
Our Lady who will have been here guarding us for 75 years (thanks
to the Dominican Laity!) It’s not too late to volunteer to help with the
festival, or to donate some items we can sell (I’ve never seen so many
rummage/garage sales as there are here in Minneapolis!).
Make sure you’ve already marked your calendar and come share the
fun and food that are making our festival great! Raffle tickets are another way you can help us continue our good work here. This year, especially if you haven’t in years past, I’d ask you to invite a friend to
attend the festival (and even Mass) with you. Maybe there’s a neighbor
you could ask, or a relative. Maybe you could even give them a ride!
The festivals are important, not just to get more money, but to help
bring more people together. Our festivals are community builders as
well as fund raisers. This is a great way for us to evangelize, not necessarily with a bible in one hand, but with a hand extended in friendship
and invitation (in itself a biblical action!).
Consider inviting someone new to enjoy our festivities October

family of faith!

HOLY ROSARY—FALL FESTIVAL SUNDAY, OCTOBER 7ONLY 3 WEEKS AWAY! 10:30AM TO 3:30 PM

Help sell Raffle Tickets! Tickets are $2 each, available after Mass
with Br. Kevin or in the parish office. Prizes are: 1st $500; 2nd
200; and 3rd $100. This is a great way to advertise for the festival.
Donations are needed for:
 Kid Games: small toys, puzzles, candy, etc.
 Granny's Attic: will take good condition items that you no
longer use or want it: kitchen, blankets, small furniture, dishes,etc
 The Emporium: New Items only any clothing, baby items, dishes,
 The Chance Booth: new items that can be used in a basket or
larger items.
Volunteers are needed in the dining area and serving line for food.
 Also in various booths throughout the Festival day. Saturday, Oct.
6 is set up day. Sign up sheets will be available. Thanks for any
assistance and donations you are able provide.

Por favor ayudar en la venta de los boletos de la rifa! Los
boletos cuestan $ 2.00 cada uno - disponible después de las Misas
con el Hno. Kevin o en la oficina parroquial. Los premios son: 1 º
- $ 500, 2 º - $ 200, y 3º - $ 100. Esta es una excelente manera de
hacer publicidad para el festival.

THE CATHEDRAL OF ST.PAUL
Special collection on Sept. 22-23
Our beautiful Cathedral of St. Paul requires everyone's help! Please
consider a sacrificial gift for this collection to assist with alleviating
the remaining $6 million dollar debt resulting from emergency exterior restoration. Many thinks to all those who generously contributed
to last year's collection to care for our Mother Church. Envelopes for
this special collection will be available in your parish and checks
