Jornadas JIC 2015 Influencia de las cicatrices en la calidad de vida Área: Epidemiológica / Salud Pública Resumen: Introducción: Las cicatrices producidas por diferentes causas, se presentan con diversos cambios en la piel que lo diferencian del tejido sano, en relación al color, grosor, elasticidad, textura, funcionalidad y estética en general. Socialmente las cicatrices pueden afectar las relaciones interpersonales y una normal reinserción social del paciente que las padece. Esta información se obtuvo luego de un relevamiento de datos obtenidos en encuestas realizadas por el Área Dérmatofuncional del Centro de Investigación, Extensión y Capacitación de la Escuela de Kinesiología y Fisioterapia, en distintas localidades de la provincia de Córdoba, en 551 pacientes con cicatrices entre los años 2014 y 2015. Objetivos: 1) Determinar los inconvenientes generados por las cicatrices en la reinserción social de un paciente; 2) Examinar la información clínica y epidemiológica de pacientes con cicatrices; 3) Analizar la calidad de vida en los pacientes con cicatrices. Materiales y métodos: Estudio de corte transversal. N: 551 pacientes. Se incluyeron todos los pacientes que asistieron a rehabilitación por secuelas cicatrizales, en el periodo junio 2014/junio2015. Se utilizaron adaptaciones de los Instrumentos: Calidad de Vida Dermatológico Skindex-29 y el PedsQL 4.0 de CVRS. Se procesaron los datos obtenidos con Epi Info 7. Resultados: Los pacientes atendidos, 551 en total, resultaron: 68% sexo femenino y 32% sexo masculino; 48% por accidentes, 33% cirugías, 19 % otras causas. Analizando la calidad de vida de los pacientes: el 65% siente molestias con las cicatrices, el 78% tiene preocupación estética por la cicatriz, el 45 % ha sufrido discriminación y el 39% se siente con su futuro perjudicado. Conclusión: Se puede concluir que existen ciertos inconvenientes en la reinserción social de los pacientes atendidos por cicatrices, resultando significativo la cantidad de pacientes con molestias, preocupación por el futuro y estética, siendo muy relevante las situaciones en las que se han sentido discriminados en diversos ámbitos sociales. Socially, scars can affect interpersonal relationships and a normal social reintegration of the patient who suffers from them. This information was obtained after a survey of data from polls conducted by the Functional Dermatology Area of the Center for Research, Extension and Training of the School of Kinesiology and Physical Therapy, in different localities of the province of Córdoba in 551 patients with scars between 2014 and 2015. Objectives: 1) To determine the difficulties created by the scars in the social reintegration of the patient; 2) To examine the clinical and epidemiological information of patients with scars; 3) To analyze the quality of life in patients with scars. Materials y methods: Cross sectional study. N: 551 patients. All patients who attended rehabilitation for scar consequences from June 2014 to June2015 were included. Adaptations of instruments Quality of Life Dermatological Skindex-29 and the PedsQL 4.0 of HRQOL were used. Data obtained were processed with Epi Info7. Results: Treated patients were 551 in total: 68% female and 32% male; 48% by accidents, 33% by surgeries, and 19% by other causes. Analyzing the quality of life of patients: 65% experience discomfort with the scars, 78% have aesthetic concerns, 45% has suffered discrimination, and 39% feel they have a handicapped future. Conclusion: It can be concluded that there are certain drawbacks in the social reintegration of patients treated for scars, resulting significant the amount of patients with inconveniences, concern for their future and aesthetics, with very relevant situations where they have felt discriminated in various social environments.
