Living the Paschal Mystery
Perhaps we unfairly fault Thomas. Perhaps he is a good model for
us of authentic seeing-believing. Our believing cannot stand on
hearsay, on blind acceptance of what others have seen and believe.
Rather, our believing must be grounded in personal encounter with risen Christ, in ongoing conversation with
him that leads to conscious choice, and in expressing our
belief in him by the way we reach out to others. Here is
where the resurrection and the Life it brings becomes
very concrete and practical four our daily living. Christ’s
risen Life within us prompts us to set aside fear and doubt
and embrace forgiveness and peace. Jesus allays our fears
and offers us a whole new relationship with him— not
one where we need to touch his wounds, but one in which
we utter with joyful conviction, “My Lord and my God!”
We enter into a whole new relationship with each other as we continue the works of Jesus that lead others to seeing-believing. Resurrection makes all the difference— for us, for all creation.

Tal vez injustamente criticar Thomas. Tal vez es un buen modelo para
nosotros de la auténtica ver-creer. Nuestra creencia no puede permanecer en rumores, en la aceptación ciega de lo que otros han visto y
creer. Por el contrario, nuestra fe debe basarse en un

nos ofrece una relación totalmente nueva con él- no es uno
en el que necesitamos para tocar sus heridas, pero en el que
pronunciamos con convicción alegre, "Mi Señor y mi Dios!" Entramos en una nueva relación con toda entre sí a medida que continúan
las obras de Jesús que llevan a otros a ver-creer. Resurrección marca
la diferencia: para nosotros, para toda la creación.

Archdiocese continues helping survivors of sexual abuse
and their families. As we star t Apr il, National Child
Abuse Prevention Month, the Archdiocese of Los Angeles
wants to reiterate that it remains committed to helping survivors and their families heal and find peace.

Segundo Domingo de Pascua: (Domingo de la Divina Misericordia
Es hermoso que Jesús anticipa que lo que
vamos a enfrentar en esta vida, como sus
creyentes, es probable que sea preocupante.
Todos y cada uno de nosotros puede nombrar un montón de cosas que están pesando
en nuestros corazones en estos días. Las
cosas pequeñas y las cosas realmente
grandes tienden a acumularse y profundamente nosotros y las decisiones que tomamos afectan. Estos
desafíos preocupantes pueden perturbar nuestras relaciones.
Dado que todo el dolor está conectada, pueden soltarse otras
penas y tristezas en nuestras vidas - algunas de las cuales
habían sido enterrados durante mucho tiempo.
A menudo, estos sentimientos de preocupación desafían nuestra fe. Por lo menos, nuestra tristeza puede hacer que sea difícil

Jesús nos invita a tener fe en Dios y en él. Él no dice que la

ganado. Yo podría estar tentado a luchar contra ella o fuera de
resistir de alguna manera. Mi tristeza puede convertirse en mi
casa, y, a veces, puede llegar a ser mi identidad. Incluso podemos disminuir nuestra capacidad de percibir el regalo diciendo: "Me está ofreciendo nada en este mundo;. Sólo felicidad
futura estoy abrumado ahora!"
Jesús nos está ofreciendo una paz nada más nos puede ofrecer.
Una de las oraciones de Cuaresma dice que la gracia de Dios

El día de hoy se destaca en este Ano Jubilar de la Misericordia, pues había sido ya designado como día de
celebrar la misericordia de Dios. Todos tropezamos y
todos tenemos nuestras dudas. Nuestro Dios amantísimo , sin embargo, siempre esta ahí dispuesto a ayudarnos, a darnos una segunda, una tercera, una cuarta
oportunidad, y todas las oportunidades” habidas y por
haber”. A medida que avanzamos por esta cincuentena
pascual alegrémonos por la buena nueva de un Dios
tan amoroso y renovemos nuestros esfuerzos para tratar a todos lo demás con la misma misericordia que
