Fire Up the Gas Grill
With summer in full swing, here are some grilling tips to ensure
you and your family enjoy the summer grilling season safely.
START WITH A CLEAN GRILL
Use a BBQ brush to remove debris. Also, use a thin wire brush to clean the holes or ports
of each burner. Check gas hoses for holes, cracks and leaks. You can put soap and water into
a spray bottle, turn on the gas and spray the hose. If there is a leak, it will start to bubble.
LIGHTING THE GRILL
If a burner fails to light or if the flames go out, turn grill off. Wait a few minutes before
trying to relight the grill. A natural gas burner flame should be blue with a small yellow tip.
If the flames are any other color, have grill checked by a qualified technician. If you

WHILE GRILLING
Keep flammable materials like paper products, linens and clothing away
from burners. Have a fire extinguisher nearby.
AFTER GRILLING
Turn off the burners, as well as the valve on the natural gas supply.
Keep the hood closed to prevent water from getting into the grill.
Consider using a plastic cover for added protection.

ENCIENDA LA PARRILLA DE GAS
Con el verano a pleno, le presentamos algunos consejos para la parrilla para que usted
y su familia disfruten de la temporada de parrilla de verano de manera segura.
EMPEZAR CON UNA PARRILLA LIMPIA
Use un cepillo para parrilla para retirar los desechos. Utilice también un cepillo de alambre fino para
limpiar los orificios o los puertos de cada hornalla. Verifique que las mangueras de gas no tengan huecos,
grietas ni fugas. Puede colocar agua y jabón en una botella rociadora, encender el gas y rociar
la manguera. Si hay una fuga, verá burbujas.
ENCENDER LA PARRILLA
Si una hornalla no se enciende o si se apaga la llama, apague la parrilla. Espere unos minutos
antes de volver a encender la parrilla. La llama de una hornalla de gas natural debe ser azul con
una pequeña punta amarilla. Si las llamas son de cualquier otro color, un técnico calificado
debe verificar su parrilla. Si desea comprar o instalar una parrilla de gas natural nueva

MIENTRAS COCINA EN LA PARRILLA
