Before You Mount Your Light
1. Unscrew the two screws on the back of the unit to remove the rear cover, Fig. 1.
2. Once the cover is removed, switch the auto shut-off to 20 seconds or one minute, Fig. 2. Setting the auto shut-off to 20 seconds will extend battery life.
3. Insert or replace three ‘C’ batteries into the
compartment, matching the indicated polarity
symbols, Fig. 3
4. To close, match up and connect the bottom hooks of the cover, then push the top end. Tighten the screws.
Mounting Your Step Light - Indoor or Outdoor
1. Determine location for the light. Remove rear cover and flip upside down against the wall. Use the holes for thumb screws to mark two holes for anchors and/
or screws, Fig. 4.
Note: If mounting on a vertical surface, mount the
screws parallel to the ground. Make sure screws are a
precise distance from each other as defined by the distance of the thumb screws.
2. If using anchors, use a 3/16” drill bit to drill holes and insert anchors. Drive the screws into the anchors so the screw head protrudes 1/8” from the surface.
3. If using screws only, use 1/8” drill bit to drill holes and insert screws so the head protrudes 1/8” from the surface.
4. Slide the step light down so the screws are held
securely by the track, Fig. 5.
Mounting with Tape – Indoor Only
1. Attach double-sided tape to the back of the light.
2. Attach the light to the wall.

WARNING:
• Use only new alkaline or lithium C cell batteries with 1.5V rating. Do not mix old and new batteries. Install
batteries with polarity in correct position.
• Follow battery instructions for proper disposal and
cautions.
• Mount fixture securely with included screws and use anchors if not securing to solid wood or other solid material.
• Step light is equipped wiht a light sensor at the
bottom of the unit, do not cover the bottom of the unit.

Antes de montar su lámpara
1. Desenrosque los dos tornillos de la parte posterior de la unidad para retirar la tapa posterior, Fig. 1.
2. Una vez que haya retirado la tapa, cambie el apagado automático a 20 segundos o un minuto, Fig. 2. Poner el apagado automático en 20 segundos extenderá la vida de la batería.
3. Inserte o reemplace tres baterías ‘C’ en el compartimiento, según los símbolos de polaridad indicados, Fig. 3.
4. Para cerrar, alinee y conecte los ganchos inferiores de la tapa, luego empuje el extremo superior. Apriete los
tornillos.
Montaje de su lámpara para escalones –
en interiores o exteriores
1. Determine la ubicación para la lámpara. Retire la tapa
posterior y voltéela al revés contra la pared. Use los orificios de los tornillos de orejetas para marcar dos orificios para las anclas y/o los tornillos, Fig. 4.
Nota: Si va a realizar el montaje en una superficie vertical,
monte los tornillos paralelos al suelo. Asegúrese de que los
tornillos estén a una distancia precisa entre sí como lo define
la distancia de los tornillos de orejetas.
2. Si va a usar anclas, utilice una broca de 3/16” (4.76 mm) para hacer los orificios e insertar las anclas. Enrosque los tornillos en las anclas de manera que la cabeza del tornillo
sobresalga 1/8” (3.17 mm) de la superficie.

Si va a utilizar únicamente tornillos, utilice una broca de 1/8” (3.17 mm) para hacer los orificios e inserte los
tornillos de manera que la cabeza sobresalga 1/8” (3.17 mm) de la superficie.
4. Deslice la lámpara para escalones hacia abajo de manera que los tornillos se sostengan firmemente en el riel, Fig. 5.
Montaje con cinta – únicamente en interiores
1. Adhiera cinta de doble lado a la parte posterior de la
lámpara.
2. Fije la lámpara a la pared.

ADVERTENCIA:
• Utilice únicamente baterías C alcalinas o de litio nuevas
con clasificación de 1.5V. No mezcle baterías viejas y
nuevas. Instale las baterías con la polaridad en la posición correcta.
• Siga las instrucciones de las baterías para su correcto desecho y precauciones.
• Monte la lámpara firmemente con los tornillos incluidos y use anclas si no la sujeta a madera sólida o a otro material sólido.
• La lámpara para escalones está equipada con un sensor de luz en la parte inferior de la unidad, que no debe cubrirse.
