Palm Sunday of the Lord's Passion
"Today, Palm Sunday, is the sixth and last
Sunday of Lent and marks the beginning of Holy
Week for us. Officially the Church calls this day Palm Sunday of
the Lord’s Passion. There is a dichotomy in this name that we must
acknowledge for it reflects, in many ways, who we are and how we
sometimes act.
On the one hand is Palm Sunday, a time of celebration that marks
Jesus’ triumphant entry into Jerusalem. It is a time of joy and
celebration and we all festively raise our palms in salute to our King.
However, as the readings continue, the mood turns somber with the
reading of the Passion of the Lord.
As we stand for this Gospel, and play a part, we call out, “Crucify
him! Crucify him!” What a change, beginning with Hosanna! and
ending with condemnation. Although we may be intellectually aware
that we are playing the part of the people of Jesus’ time, we really
must reflect on whether this also represents how we can be today.
Do we glorify Christ at one moment, but then condemn him through
our own actions, our own inability to fulfill His expectations for us? Of
course we do. As Lent culminates and Easter comes upon us, it is time
for us to admit our sins and to vow as good stewards to live out the
love to which the Lord has called us. Jesus made His
sacrifice for us with determination to save us.
Should we not show the same fortitude in converting our lives?

Support Group Meeting for Parents Who Have Children With
Special Needs
The St. Ann's SNAPS (Special Needs and Parent Support) group is
for parents with special needs children of any age and any
exceptionality. This ministry was created to bond parents, discuss
life challenges, pray with one another, and offer hope and
education for our own unique journeys.
Please come and join us for our first event on April 1, 2016. Erika
Slater, Speech-Language Pathologist and mother of a child with
special needs, along with her husband, Peter Slater, will present
their journey and how prayer has inspired them to connect with
other families, handle the cycles of grief, and offer support to those
encountering similar struggles.
The event will begin at 7PM in the St. Ann Reception Room, and
will conclude with a work session to brainstorm needs for future
events. Childcare will be provided and must be reserved. Please
email Debbie at [email protected] to reserve a
spot.

Come to Sunday School on Palm Sunday
This is an age appropriate reenactment of Jesus’ triumphant
entry into Jerusalem thru the Last Supper for the child younger
than 1st grade.
Palm Sunday there is no CLW and the Passion Play is geared
for older children and adults.
Many preschoolers have trouble distinguishing what is acting
vs what is real so we offer this alternative.
Bring your children to the C.R.E. hallway 10-20 minutes prior
to Mass to check into the appropriate classroom.

Childcare Services During Mass
:
Childcare services are currently available for St. Ann
Catholic parishioners through our Nursery Program,
during the 5:00 P.M. Saturday Mass, along with the
8:00 A.M., 10:00 A.M., and the 12:00 P.M. Sunday
Masses in Nursery 110 (across the Courtyard).
Nursery opens fifteen minutes before each Mass
service, and children need to be picked-up following
the end of each Mass service. Childcare services are
offered on a first-come, first-serve basis, for children
between the ages of six months to four yrs. of age.
There is a maximum capacity of sixteen children for our
Nursery 110, in order to abide with Texas Standards.
Once capacity is reached for each timeslot, no more
children will be admitted into the Nursery. Please visit
the parish website to download and fill-out all the
required registration forms and make sure all forms are
turned in before dropping off children.

Come and see what Biblical Splendor looks like!
“Daughters of the King (Moms) will lead your
Princess (daughter) towards the Heavenly King!
For questions call Rita Delgado, Nursery Coordinator,
@ 972-393-5544, ext. 1907.
Lead her to the “Happily Ever After” by teaching her how to exemplify
Biblical virtues instead of Worldly values.
Mothers and Daughters will be enchanted as they enter the kingdom of
perseverance, generosity, purity, and sincerity.”
All done through biblical readings, fun activities, and worship music.
"The king's daughter is all glorious within: her clothing is of wrought gold." (Psalms 45:13)

FIESTA DE LA DIVINA
MISERICORDIA
Acompáñenos a celebrar el año de la
Misericordia.
palabras y oraciones.
