REFLECTIONS FOR THE WEEK
Question for Children: Jesus appeared to the disciples even though they were afraid and locked in the closed room. How can you
show Jesus to another person this week by how you act?
Question for Youth: Thomas didn’t believe because he hadn’t seen Jesus with his own eyes. How hard is it for you to believe in
God without being able to see God? How do you see God in the words and actions of others?
Question for Adults: Jesus said: "Blessed are those who have not seen and yet believe." Give one example of how you will show
your belief in Jesus this week - how you are being sent forth.

on April 8, 1996. At the time of her death, Phyllis had been involved in
a linen drive to benefit residents of the Homes of Oakridge. Since her
death, our conferences have carried on her mission and collected more
than 13,000 linen items which were given to people in need throughout
the Des Moines metro area including the Homes of Oakridge, various
shelters, as well as SVdP families in need.

FOR ALL PARISHIONERS
 ATTENTION BUSINESS OWNERS,
“KNIGHT’S CORNER”
KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS COUNCIL #9632
PROFESSIONALS AND SELF EMPLOYED
Liturgical Publications Inc. (LPi), our Bulletin publisher, will have a
representative visiting our church the week of April 4 to sell
advertising in our weekly Bulletin. We would like to thank our present
advertisers for renewing their ad and thereby continuing their
support of our Church. For those interested in placing a new ad,
this is your opportunity, to invest in an ad.
Our Bulletin is a primary way we use to communicate with you. Through
our arrangement with the Liturgical Publications Inc., the Church does
not pay for the Bulletin printing, which saves us thousands of dollars
every year. Our Bulletin is supported only through the generosity of
the advertisers, many of whom are our own Church parishioners or
members of our local community. Please support our advertisers with
your patronage. Tell the business owner that you appreciate their
support of our Church through their advertising in the Bulletin. This is
one small way we can work within our own community. A strong and
vibrant Bulletin is good for our community and a strong business
community is good for our Church.
To obtain information about advertising for the new publication year,
please contact the Church office and ask for Mike or call Mike
directly at 515.321.3732. Mike’s email is [email protected]. Keep in
mind; our advertising sponsors make the Bulletin possible.
LPi’s representative, Mike Denison, will be calling businesses around
our parish and parishioners, the same week. Be prepared for his call,
please. Any parishioners, can also buy an ad for your favorite charity,
friend or talk to your boss and see if they want to invest in an ad.

HOLY HUMOR
The children were lined up in the cafeteria of a
Catholic elementary school for lunch. At the head
of the table was a large pile of apples. The nun
made a note, and posted it on the apple tray: “Take
only ONE. God is watching”. Further down the line
was a large pile of chocolate chip cookies. A child
had written a note: “Take all you want, God is
watching the apples”.
Early bird tickets for this event are $50
through March 31; $60 after.
