Dear Friends and Clients,
Bienvenidos a una nueva edición de nuestra revista anual “TM en
Acción”.
Welcome to a new issue of our annual magazine “TM in Action”.
En nombre de todo el equipo de TM Grupo Inmobiliario, deseo
agradecer vuestra participación y colaboración para culminar un año
2015 en el que más de 600 nuevos clientes han confiado en nosotros.
Nos enorgullece haber abierto nuevas vías de producción y
comercialización con la adquisición de dos proyectos inmobiliarios en
Mijas y Marbella, lo que posiciona a TM también en la Costa del Sol,
y dos proyectos más en Benidorm, fortaleciendo nuestra condición de
empresa de referencia en el sector de segunda residencia en el litoral
español.
2015 ha sido un año de duro trabajo para consolidar Mar de Pulpí;
100 familias lo han elegido como un destino enfocado al ocio y la vida
saludable. Con gran satisfacción vemos afianzarse Mar de Pulpí Health
Sports & Leisure Centre como un centro de referencia para deportistas
europeos.
Todo esto es posible con la confianza que nos demuestran nuestros
clientes -con un 92% de satisfacción en la entrega de su vivienda-, con
el apoyo humano de 210 profesionales, con la estimada colaboración
de proveedores y con el incondicional apoyo de colaboradores y amigos.
Gracias a todos, podemos decir que finalizamos un año 2015 con la
tranquilidad de haber trabajado bien.

On behalf of the entire TM Real Estate Group, I want to thank everyone
for their participation and collaboration throughout 2015, in which over
600 new customers have placed their trust in us.
We are proud to have opened up new production and sales channels
with the acquisition of two real estate projects in Mijas and Marbella,
now positioning TM on the Costa del Sol, and two additional projects in
Benidorm, strengthening our status as a benchmark name in the trade
for second homes along the Spanish coast.
2015 has been a year of hard work to consolidate Mar de Pulpí, which
100 families have chosen as a destination focusing on leisure and
healthy living. It is with great satisfaction that we have seen Mar de Pulpí
Health Sports & Leisure Centre open as a leading reference for European
sportspersons.
All this was possible because of the trust and confidence shown by
our customers, with a 92% satisfaction rate for our home delivery
terms, and the support of a team of 210 professionals, the much
appreciated collaboration of suppliers and the unconditional backing of
our collaborators and friends. Thanks to all this, we can say that we are
winding up 2015 with the knowledge that we have all done a great job.
For all of our readers, we will be initiating a new year full of hopes
and expectations, with residential estates conceived for success right
from the start, with great quality, a fantastic mix of interior design and
landscaping outside, creating harmonious complexes with all luxury of
details and addressed to something we all love: enjoying life close to the
sea.
We will be continuing with our new and exclusive Resort on the Mayan
Riviera, a five-star luxury site on the Caribbean, which has been highly
successful, with 254 homes completed and 500 rooms at the Azul Fives
Hotel.
It is an honour for me to share with all of you, once again this year, a
channel where we try to reflect all the current offerings and projects
developed by TM Real Estate Group. A magazine enabling us to get
better acquainted, grow together and strengthen our long-term
friendship.

Un grupo de 50 atletas paralímpicos de
diversas disciplinas eligió Mar de Pulpí
para someterse a un intensivo calendario

extradeportivas organizado por Mar de
Pulpí Health Sports & Leisure Centre y
Vidar Sports Club bajo la supervisión
de Runar Steinstad, representante
del club deportivo noruego, quien se
convirtiera en medallista olímpico en
las paraolimpiadas de Londres 2012
en la disciplina de lanzamiento de
jabalina. Además de los exhaustivos
entrenamientos, el grupo disfrutó de
la bienvenida y las atenciones ofrecidas
por el ayuntamiento de Águilas en
nombre de su alcalde y su equipo
encargado.

A group of 50 paralympic athletes from
diverse disciplines chose Mar de Pulpí
for their intensive calendar of sports
training activities and leisure time,
as organised by Mar de Pulpí Health
Sports & Leisure Centre and Vidar
Sports Club under the supervision of
Runar Steinstad, the representative
of the Norwegian sports club who
won an Olympic medal at the London
Paralimpics 2012 in the javelin throw.
In addition to the exhaustive training
sessions, the group enjoyed being
welcomed at an event held by the Town
Council of Águilas on behalf of the
Mayor and his team of collaborators.

ciudad sueca de Gotemburgo la feria inmobiliaria
“Fair Media International AB”, y TM aprovechó

de informarse sobre nuestra oferta inmobiliaria,

to Scandinavia
From March 20 to 22 the Swedish city of
Gothenburg was the venue for the real estate
show “Fair Media International AB”, and TM
took this opportunity to allow visitors to get
into the fantasy of The Mediterranean Lifestyle
by setting up a “chiringuito”, or typical Med
beach bar, where TM’s property line-up was on
show, and guests were able to meet swimmer
and Olympic medallist Lars Frölander, the TM
Ambassador in Sweden.

With the signing of two large-scale real estate
projects in Mijas and Marbella, TM is now flying
its banner along the Golden Mile of the Costa
del Sol. This recent acquisition in the area is a
further step forward in TM Real Estate Group’s
strategic positioning as a benchmark name for
second homes along the Spanish coastline.

I Trail Mar de Pulpí
El 8 de marzo tuvo lugar el I Trail Mar de
Pulpí, prueba federada consistente en un Trail
de Montaña de 25km y una Ruta Paralela de
Senderismo de 18km. El escenario elegido
para la salida y llegada de ambas pruebas
es el circuito de running situado en el nuevo
Parque Litoral. Un evento lleno de color, paisaje
y la magia que desprende Mar de Pulpí Pueblo
Mediterráneo.
Ist Mar de Pulpí Trail Run
March 8 was the date for the 1st Mar de Pulpí
Trail Run, a federation trial comprising a 25km
Mountain Trail and an 18km Parallel Trekking
Route. The stage chosen for both the start and
finish for both races was the running track
located at the new Coastal Park. This event,
against a backdrop of beautiful landscape at
Mar de Pulpí Pueblo Mediterráneo, was full of
colour and magic.

SIMA 2015
El incremento en el número de visitantes este año
a la feria inmobiliaria por excelencia en España
ha sido notable. Para TM Grupo Inmobiliario
ha supuesto “El doble que otros años”, según
Montse Álvarez, adjunta a la Dirección Comercial.
“Nuestros residenciales despertaron verdadera
admiración e interés por su excelente ubicación
junto al mar y cuidado diseño”.
Durante el desarrollo de este importante evento,
hemos presentado a nuestro embajador de marca
para España, el conocido chef Quique Dacosta,
quien comparte con TM Grupo Inmobiliario su
“obsesión por la excelencia” y la “adicción” por
el mar Mediterráneo.

The number of visitors to this year’s edition of the
real estate sectors leading trade show was well
above former events. For TM Real Estate Group,
this meant “double the amount of previous
years” according to Montse Álvarez, Assistant
to the Commercial Director, “Our developments
garnered genuine admiration and interest for
their special design and excellent location by the
sea”.
During this important event, we also presented
our brand ambassador for Spain, renowned chef
Quique Dacosta, with whom we share a common
obsession for excellence and an addiction for the
Mediterranean Sea.
TM en Kazajistán
TM Grupo Inmobiliario participó en la feria
inmobiliaria “Kaz Realty”, siendo el único
promotor español que expuso en la misma, y
mostrando su extensa oferta inmobiliaria en el
litoral mediterráneo español. TM tuvo gran éxito
debido a la visión que el público kazajo tiene de
nuestro país como destino exótico, al que ven no
sólo como un lugar para pasar sus vacaciones,
sino también como país seguro para invertir.
TM in Kazakhstan
TM Real Estate Group took part at the “Kaz
Realty” property event in Kazakhstan as the
sole Spanish developer at the show, presenting
its extensive lineup of property along Spain’s
Mediterranean coast. TM was largely successful
because of the Kazakh audience’s view of Spain
as an exotic destination, not only a place for
spending a holiday, but also as a country where
it is safe to invest.
XXI Triatlón “Villa de Pulpí”
Los días 6 y 7 de Junio tuvo lugar la XXI
edición del Triatlón “Villa de Pulpí”. La
novedad en esta edición fue la celebración
del I Triatlón de menores “Villa de Pulpí” que
forma parte del Campeonato de Andalucía
y del Circuito Andaluz de Triatlón de
Menores. Esta prueba nace con el objetivo
de potenciar esta disciplina deportiva
entre los más jóvenes y reunir a atletas de
4 categorías: prebenjamines, benjamines,
alevines e infantiles. (Más información en la

Con el objetivo de presentar nuestra marca en
los países de origen de la mayoría de nuestros
clientes, TM ha contado este año con el apoyo
de 2 embajadores para Reino Unido y Suecia. En
Gran Bretaña hemos contado con la colaboración
de Andrew Castle, ex tenista profesional y gran
conocido por el público británico actualmente,
gracias a sus entretenidos programas de
televisión y radio. En Suecia por su parte, hemos
contado con Lars Frölander, nadador olímpico,
ganador de una medalla de oro en Sidney
2000[ver entrevista a Lars en página 50].
TM introduces its brand ambassadors
With the aim of introducing our brand in the
countries of origin of the majority of our clients,
TM has counted on the support of two brand
ambassadors this year in the UK and Sweden. In
Great Britain the chosen celebrity was Andrew
Castle, ex-professional tennis player and wellknown with the British public, thanks to his
ongoing presence on television and radio in
various entertainment programs. Andrew’s
counterpart in Sweden was Lars Frölander,
Olympic swimmer and Gold medal winner at the
2000 Sydney Games. [see interview with Lars on
page 50]

21st “Villa de Pulpí” Triathlon
On June 6 and 7 the 21st edition of the
“Villa Pulpí” Triathlon was staged. The
novelty in this year’s challenge was the
celebration of the 1st “Villa de Pulpí”
Children’s Triathlon counting towards
the Andalusian Championship and the
Andalusian Children’s Triathlon Circuit. This
trial was born with the aim of promoting this
sports discipline amongst young people and
bringing in athletes from 4 categories: U-7,
U-10, U-12 and U-14 (more information in
the Get Active section.)

excepcional, frente al mar. Un recorrido
diseñado y supervisado especialmente por
Jack Waitz, el entrenador noruego cuya
esposa fue 9 veces campeona de la Maratón
de Nueva York y quien pone nombre al
circuito: Grete Waitz.

for the 2nd Mar de Pulpí Cross. This new
event continues to grow, with a bigger

¿Sabías que hay ríos y cascadas en Mallorca? Te invitamos a conocer un lugar
diferente en la isla. Salt des Freu en el Valle de Orient, en la Sierra de la
Tramontana, es un lugar fuera del clásico circuito turístico, pero que sí conocen
los mallorquines y, además, es muy fácil de visitar. Se accede mediante un
sendero que antiguamente era una ruta de carboneros, de la cual recibe su
nombre. Si te fijas en el recorrido es posible ver antiguas ruinas, paredes secas,
abrevaderos de piedra, albercas y las ruinas de las entonces “Cases des Freu”.
Para comenzar esta ruta de unos 9km aproximadamente, sólo necesitas dirigirte
a Orient, un pequeño pueblo a sólo un 1.5km del lugar. Una vez allí, sigue las
indicaciones del sendero en dirección a Santa María hasta llegar al Torrent de
Orient y de ahí a la gran cascada. Después, el camino atraviesa el río y pequeñas
cascadas que transcurren por un tupido bosque de pinos, encinas y olivos. La
senda continúa hasta volver al mismo punto de partida, pasando por interesantes
lugares, como la cueva natural de Avenc de Son Pou.
Did you know there were waterfalls in Majorca? You’re invited to see something
different on the island. It’s called Es Salt des Freu, in the Orient Valley, tucked in
the Sierra de la Tramontana, an area hidden away from normal tourist circuits,
but well known to locals, and easy to visit as well. Access is via a footpath that
was once the coalminer’s road, hence it’s name Carboneros. Along the way you
can spot ancient ruins, drywall stoneworks, stone drinking troughs, irrigation
pools and the remains of what was once the building known as “Cases des
Freu”.
This route is about 9km long, and to get here, drive to Orient, a small village
about 1.5km from the waterfall. Once in the village, follow the indications
towards Santa María until you reach Torrent de Orient, and from there to
the large waterfall. The footpath crosses the stream and has a series of small
waterfalls that run through the pine forest with holm oaks and olive trees. The
track winds round to come back to the same starting point, passing through
interesting sites such as the natural cave of Avenc de Son Pou.

A los amantes de la naturaleza más exigentes no les defraudará esta ruta que
transcurre por un impresionante itinerario, rodeado de embalses, piscinas
naturales y cañones con paredes de roca. El río Chillar se encuentra en la parte
oriental de la provincia de Málaga, entre los municipios de Cómpeta y Nerja, en
el Parque Natural de las Sierras de Tejeda, Almijara y Alhama.
Even sophisticated nature lovers will go for this route, which traverses impressive
natural surroundings, around dams, natural swimming holes and rocky canyons.
The Chillar River lies in the eastern part of Málaga province, between the towns
of Competa and Nerja, in the Nature Park of Sierras de Tejeda, Almijara and
Alhama.
La ruta, cuyo recorrido total es de 8 Km, comienza en la zona Almijara-Flamingo
en Nerja y discurre en su mayor parte por el cauce del río, por lo que es necesario
llevar calzado adecuado para caminar por agua. El cauce se va estrechando a
medida que se avanza, hasta quedar encerrado en lo que se conoce como Los
Cahorros, tramos muy angostos de pasadizo entre paredes de mármol en los
que se alcanza a tocar ambas paredes con las manos. A continuación, el camino
se vuelve más complicado y resbaladizo, hasta llegar a una sucesión de pozas y
balsas que culminan con las ruinas de la antigua presa.
This route has a total length of 8km, starting from the area known as AlmijaraFlamingo, in Nerja, and mostly following the course of the river. Hikers are
recommended to wear boots suitable for crossing streams. The riverbed narrows
as it advances upwards, ending in a boxed-in canyon known as Los Cahorros, with
a pathway narrowing in between marble cliffs you can touch with outstretched
hands. Then the trail gets even more complicated and sometimes slippery until it
comes to a series of pools and wells around the ruins of an ancient dam.
You shouldn’t miss seeing this, it’s really fantastic!

La Ruta de los Molinos en el espectacular Parque Natural de la Sierra de Mariola,
Banyeres, es un interesante paseo que permite conocer el pasado industrial de
la zona mientras se contempla la rica flora y fauna de un paisaje que apenas ha
sufrido alteraciones. Es un recorrido de aproximadamente 4 Km a lo largo del río
Vinalopó, que une tres de los molinos papeleros más emblemáticos de Bañeres
entre los siglos XVIII y XIX, destacando por las construcciones hidráulicas que
permitían su funcionamiento.
The Mill Route runs through the spectacular Nature Park of Sierra de Mariola, in
Banyeres, and is an interesting walk that gives you a look at the industrial past of
this region, with lots of flora and fauna in landscape that has changed little over
the years. This is a 4km route along the Vinalopó River that connects three of the
old landmark paper mills of Bañeres built in the 18th and 19th centuries, and all
the hydraulic engineering works that enabled them to operate.
Todo el recorrido está señalizado y cuenta con paneles explicativos de la flora, la
fauna y el patrimonio del lugar. Se inicia en la zona recreativa El Molí l’Ombria
donde encontrarás el sendero junto a muchas indicaciones (¡no tiene pérdida!).
Te recomendamos que visites esta zona en los meses de otoño, cuando la niebla
y los senderos teñidos de marrón por las hojas caídas de los árboles adornan y
hacen lucir con todo su esplendor a las numerosas fuentes y pequeñas cascadas

The whole route is suitably signposted and has information panels along the
way describing flora, fauna and the local heritage. It starts at the recreation zone
called El Molí l’Ombria, where you can see the signs pointing to the start of the
trail. We recommend that you visit this area in the autumn months, when the
morning mists are still rising, and the trail is coloured brown with all the fallen
leaves, making the whole scene one of dazzling beauty, with lots of fountains
and little waterfalls along the way. The route finishes at the fountain called Font
de la Coveta, which is the source of the Vinalopó River, and is the perfect place
for a long photography session.

snow on the daily grind back home.
And while being away from family and loved ones can
be hard for a number of reasons, one thing expats do
not have to miss are the comforts of home. Goods from
the UK & Ireland are sold in many shops, often to be
found locally, and there is even an entire supermarket
dedicated exclusively to these products: guaranteed to
satisfy any kind of food craving! There are countless
British and Irish bars and restaurants, serving traditional
food and showing Premier League football and GAA
at weekends. Furthermore, there are many traditional
celebrations throughout the calendar, including
the hugely popular St. Patrick’s Day parade which
takes place in Cabo Roig and counts on hundreds of
participants every year! All in all, an expat in the Costa
Blanca has little reason to feel homesick anymore!

Tendemos a pensar que sólo recibimos a mayores y
jubilados que vienen a disfrutar del sol y del buen clima,
pero gracias a las nuevas tecnologías y la posibilidad de
trabajar desde casa cada vez son más las familias con
niños pequeños quienes deciden mudarse a España.
Esta nueva residencia permanente conlleva la necesidad
de escolarizar a niños y jóvenes. Para ello, algunas
familias se decantan por las escuelas españolas, otras
escogen escuelas internacionales y muchos otros optan
por alguna de las escuelas escandinavas establecidas
en España.
Los principales motivos para matricular a los niños
en una escuela escandinava pueden ser la necesidad
de acabar los estudios ya comenzados en su país de
origen o simplemente el hecho de que la transición
hacia el estilo de vida y costumbres en España sea más
llevadera.

move to Spain for good. We tend to think we only
welcome seniors and retirees who come to enjoy the
sun and the great climate, but thanks to all the new
technologies making work from home possible, there
are more and more northern families with children
who decide to move to Spain.
This new permanent residence entails the need to
send the kids to school here. Some families of course
choose Spanish schools, but other look around at
the international offer and many opt for some of the
Scandinavian schools set up in Spain.
The main reasons for enrolling children in a
Scandinavian school are of course finishing studies
already started in their country of origin or simply to
facilitate the transition to the lifestyle and customs of
Spain.

They’re here! Tourists from the land of the Great
Wall have crossed half the planet to visit Spain, and
eagerly absorb the culture and customs of Spain –
especially the great ones like tasting Iberian acorn-fed
cured ham, virgin olive oil and all the wines, and of
course... our “churros”. You can see them carrying
fashion handbags they buy at truly competitive prices,
photographing every historic site along the way.

of Madrid and Barcelona. Now they’ve come to the
coast, especially the Costa Blanca and the Costa del
Sol. It looks like after gaining the loyalty of the Brits
and the Scandinavians, and responding to the Russian
boom, we are now getting the Chinese interested in
our part of the planet.

NAVIDAD ALEMANA EN ESPAÑA
Ahora que nos acercamos a las fiestas de
Navidad los residentes alemanes en España
nos acordamos con mucho cariño e ilusión
de nuestras visitas a los típicos mercadillos de
navidad como el famoso de Nuremberg, del que
conservamos recuerdos inolvidables de nuestro
niñez.
La impresionante variedad de galletas, dulces
de todo tipo y los típicos Lebkuchen (pan
de especias) y Christstollen (bizcocho con
marzapan) son los ingredientes de esta época
navideña llena de ilusión. Una costumbre que
hace pocos años llegó a los hogares españoles
es el calendario de adviento con motivos
navideños y 24 puertas pequeñas que esconden
un trocito de chocolate para cada día de
diciembre hasta el día 24, día de nochebuena,
cuando se entregan los regalos a los niños.
Desde la perspectiva de TM Grupo Inmobiliario,
pudimos observar como a finales del pasado
año hubo una alta ocupación de las viviendas
de Pinars de Murada, en su mayoría clientes
germano parlantes. Por suerte, ellos no tienen
que renunciar a sus costumbres en Mallorca
dado que existen multitud de supermercados
en la isla que ofrecen riquísimos productos
navideños.
Además en estas fechas podemos visitar el
mercadillo de navidad que se viene celebrando
desde hace años en el Pueblo Español de Palma
y tiene lugar durante los primeros días de enero,
del 5 al 8 de diciembre. La entrada incluye el
tradicional vino tinto caliente que usualmente
se disfruta más cuanto más frío hace. Aunque
bueno, este inconveniente está más que
superado por la comunidad germano parlante
de la isla.

Markets we hold in our country, like the

The impressive array of biscuits, sweets of all
kinds and the traditional spicy Lebkuchen and
Christstollen (marzipan sponge cakes) all form
part of this Christmas season in German style.
One custom that reached Spanish homes a
few years ago is the Advent Calendar with its
Christmas decoration and 24 little doors that
hide a piece of chocolate behind them, one for
each of the days up to Christmas Eve, when our
presents are given to the children.
At TM Real Estate Group, we saw that there was
a high occupancy rate at the Pinars de Murada
estate last Christmas, mostly Germans who had
come to spend the holidays in Spain. Luck for
them, they didn’t have to renounce their home
customs on the island, since there are lots of
supermarkets in Majorca that offer fantastic
lineups of Christmas products.

Market at the Pueblo Español in Palma de
Mallorca, held from 5 to 8 December, which

vez más a los asistentes, con nuestra jefa de ventas,

In the idyllic spot of the English Garden at Mar de Pulpí,
the dress code this year was to come in white, in typical
Mediterranean garb. What better way to celebrate a
summer night at this fabulous residential estate on the
beachfront?
A delicious range of tapas, music and gifts were all
there to surprise attendees, and our sales manager Lola
Campillo took the floor as party emcee.

Este año los residenciales de Costa Blanca Sur celebraron
su fiesta en el restaurante Barlovento Torrevieja, como
no podía ser de otra forma, mirando al mar. Hubo lleno
absoluto y los invitados lo pasaron de lo lindo, en una
jornada en la que el objetivo de todos era pasar un rato
agradable en compañía de amigos.
Nuestro Jefe de Ventas en la zona, Luis NavarroQuercop, lideró la organización del evento y más de
uno se fue ¡con ganas de más!
TM CLUB SUMMER PARTY AT COSTA BLANCA
SOUTH:
This year the residential estates on Costa Blanca south
held their party at the Barlovento restaurant, facing the
sea, as usual. It was completely packed and all guests
had a great time, as the aim of the event was to ensure
everyone could spend some quality time with friends
and new acquaintances.
Our area sales manager, Luis Navarro-Quercop, was in
charge of organising the event and everyone was sorry
when it came time to leave.

El 21 de agosto los propietarios de los residenciales TM en Mallorca
se reunieron en el club social y disfrutaron de unas horas juntos
en su habitual fiesta de verano. Hubo regalos y una deliciosa
paella, con actuaciones musicales incluidas. De todo, para todos
los gustos.
Juan Antonio Rodríguez, jefe de ventas de Mallorca, estuvo
pendiente de que todo saliera a la perfección y parece que lo
consiguió una vez más, a razón del éxito de convocatoria año tras
año.
TM CLUB SUMMER PARTY IN MAJORCA
On 21 August the owners of TM residential homes in Majorca met
at their social club to enjoy their traditional summer party, where
they spent a few hours having a great time. A delicious paella was
served, and there were gifts and music performances included.
Something for everybody in the evening’s lineup.
Juan Antonio Rodríguez, Majorca sales manager, took pains to
ensure everything went perfectly, and it looks like he managed it
again this year, to judge by the success of this part year after year.

En Murcia el verano empieza antes que en ningún sitio. ¿O son las ganas
de celebración lo que mueve a los vecinos de Residencial Amélie y Edificio
Carole a organizar un concurso de tapas para dar la bienvenida al verano
a principios de junio?
Sea lo que sea, el caso es que aquí se disfruta como en ningún sitio. En casa
y entre amigos y, además, con premios. Un encuentro que ya comienza a
ser tradición y en el que nuestra responsable en Murcia, Lola Las Heras,
se desenvuelve a las mil maravillas. ¡Habrá que pasarse por allí un año a
probar esas deliciosas tapas murcianas!

TM CLUB SUMMER PARTY IN MURCIA
In Murcia, summer started sooner than anywhere else. Or maybe it was
just the neighbours of Residencial Amélie and Edificio Carole, whose
excitement at organising a tapas competition to welcome the summer
jump-started the season in early June!
Whatever the case, a fantastic time was had by all. It was friends only, but
everyone is friends here, and there were surprises and gifts for all. This
is a party that is now beginning to be traditional here, and our Murcia
representative, Lola Las Heras, is becoming an expert at doing a great
organising job. We should note this event down in our agendas and try
some of those delicious tapas from Murcia next time!

equilibrio de su cocina Mediterránea le
ha servido de reconocimiento, y varios
de sus platos han sido premiados por
su sabor y exquisita presentación. A

¿A qué sabe el mediterráneo?
Sabe fresco, jugoso, intenso, dulce.
¿Cuál sería la música ideal para
acompañar un plato de tu creación?
La música es el idioma universal que
entendemos todos. Escucho la música
de mis raíces de tambores y cornetas, de
la guitarra alegre, del cajón con ritmo
penetrante.
A cualquiera de mis platos, bien les
puede acompañar una melodía con
guitarra acústica, un piano, un sonido
relajante y envolvente….
Mar de Pulpí es vida, relax, playa,
salud y deporte. ¿cómo podremos
apreciar estos conceptos a través de

Almería in charge of the newly opened
La Geoda Restaurant. His balanced
Mediterranean cuisine has won him
plaudits, and several of his dishes have
won awards for their taste and exquisite
presentation. Salvador answers some of
our questions here.
What does your “Mediterranean”
taste like?
Fresh, juicy, intense and sweet.
Sin duda. La cocina que elaboro lleva
el sello inconfundible de nuestra tierra
“Almería, mar y montaña”. Una mezcla
balanceada entre los productos del mar
que tenemos a nuestros pies y el aire
que nos llega del entorno de la sierra.
¿Cuál es el toque secreto de Salvador
para complacer paladares de todo el
mundo?
Transmitir el placer que siento entre los
fogones. Todo trabajo realizado con
dedicación y esfuerzo no tiene más
remedio que llegar hasta los paladares
más cosmopolitas.
¿Cómo definirías el concepto de
cocina saludable?
Para mí la cocina saludable es sin duda
cuidar al máximo la calidad del producto y
transformarlo sin aplicarle elaboraciones
estridentes ni rocambolescas. Ofrecer
un buen producto de calidad, con una
correcta elaboración que satisfaga a
nuestros clientes, es la máxima que
persigo en mi cocina.

through your culinary creations?
The dishes we offer are made with
the idea of showing our clients the
perfect balance between flavour, quality
products and great nutritional properties
in line with the quality lifestyle we have
here at Mar de Pulpí..
Could we say that your cuisine is
an exquisite mixture of fragrances
extracted from the freshness of the
mountains and the unmistakable
aroma of the Mediterranean?
That’s it. The cuisine I make has the
unmistakable stamp of our land, our
“Almeria, Sea and Mountain.” It’s a
mixture that’s balanced, with products
from the sea that lies before our feet,
and the air that flows down from the
sierras.
What is Salvador’s secret touch, the
thing he uses to please palates from
around the world?
My dishes transmit all the passion I
feel when I’m in the kitchen. All work
done with dedication and effort affects
people’s palates, however demanding
they are or wherever they happen to
come from.
How would you define the concept
of healthy cuisine?
For me, cooking is healthy when you
pay maximum attention to the product
and transform it without applying
exaggerated or far-fetched elaborations.
Offering a quality product, with an
appropriate elaboration that satisfies
the client, is the maxim I pursue in my
cooking.

Como destino deportivo, Mar de
Pulpí Pueblo Mediterráneo ofrece
unas instalaciones en constante
crecimiento.
Para disfrutar del deporte al aire
libre encontramos pistas deportivas
de baloncesto, minibasket y futbito,
además de pistas de tenis y pádel.
Recientemente en la zona más cercana a
la playa se han habilitado pistas de vóley
playa y petanca. A todo ello se unen los
circuitos situados en el parque litoral,
el primero de ellos, conocido como
“circuito biosaludable” cuenta con
varias zonas de máquinas de ejercicios
biomecánicos repartidas por el parque,
el segundo, es el ya conocido circuito
de running “Grete Waitz”, que con su
recorrido de 3,2km junto al mar atrae
cada día a más apasionados de este
deporte.
Todas las actividades deportivas giran
en torno a Mar de Pulpí Health Sports
& Leisure Centre, el centro deportivo
situado en el Centro Comercial y que
recientemente ha sido ampliado.
El centro deportivo cuenta con un

installations that are growing
and improving all the time.
As a complement for professional
sportspersons,

sports psychology services.
To enjoy some outdoor sports there are
basketball courts, minibasket, a 5-a-side
football pitch, in addition to tennis and
paddle tennis courts. Recently the area
closest to the beach has been fitted with
a beach volleyball area and a petanca
bowling pitch. All this is interconnected
with footpaths through the coastal
park. The first route is known as the
“bio-health circuit”, with various
biomechanical exercising devices along
the way. The second is already quite
well-known, as it’s the “Grete Waitz”
running circuit, with a 3.2km course
along the seafront that attracts lots of
joggers every day.
And as a future sports destination, TM
Real Estate Group has plans for two
more developments here: a Sports Villa
and a Sea Club.
All these sports activities can be
practised at the Mar de Pulpí Health
Sports & Leisure Centre, which is
located in the shopping centre and
has recently been enlarged. This sports
centre has a gym with a cardio area, a
weightlifting area and areas for yoga
and pilates classes. There is also a store

bikes, kayaks, paddle surf boards, diving
and snorkelling equipment and more.
The Sports Villa is now in the

Que seguir una dieta mediterránea es la mejor opción, junto con el ejercicio
moderado, para llevar una vida saludable y prevenir ciertas enfermedades, como las
cardiovasculares, es de todos conocido. Pero a veces resulta difícil seguir las pautas
de este tipo de alimentación, bien por nuestro ritmo de trabajo o porque somos
poco hábiles a la hora de cocinar.
That following the Mediterranean diet, together with moderate exercise, is the best
option for leading a healthy lifestyle and preventing certain health conditions, such
as cardiovascular disease, is well known to all. Nevertheless, it can be difficult to
follow the finer points of this type of diet, due to an elevated workload or a lack of
ability in the kitchen.

simple guidelines to help make your diet and lifestyle as healthy as possible.
1.- LOS PILARES DE LA DIETA MEDITERRÁNEA
Intenta consumir tres piezas de fruta al día y dos raciones de verdura. Es fundamental
para obtener gran parte de la fibra y las vitaminas que tu cuerpo necesita. El
desayuno es un buen momento para ingerir frutas, pero disfruta de ellas cuando
observes que te resulta más fácil o cuando mejor te sienten.
1. - THE PILLARS OF THE MEDITERRANEAN DIET
Try to eat three pieces of fruit and two portions of vegetables per day: they are
fundamental for obtaining a large part of the fibre and vitamins which your body
needs each day. Breakfast is a good moment to ingest some fruit, but feel free to
enjoy your daily dose whenever it is convenient or simply when you feel like it!
Fresh fish should also form part of your diet at least three or four times per week,
two of which should be blue fish. Reserve red meats for special occasions; don’t
overdo their consumption.

2.- LOS OTROS ALIMENTOS SALUDABLES
No deben de faltar en tu dieta las legumbres (al menos
dos veces por semana), los lácteos como el queso y los
yogures o los frutos secos en moderada cantidad, dado
su aporte calórico (nueces, avellanas, almendras...). Los
cereales, a ser posible integrales, constituyen una buena
base para una adecuada alimentación.
3.- APUESTA POR LA VARIEDAD
Cuanto más variada sea tu dieta, mucho mejor. Así
conseguirás el aporte de todos los elementos necesarios
para que tu cuerpo funcione como una máquina
perfecta. No te limites a consumir siempre el mismo
pescado o el mismo tipo de verdura: prueba cosas
nuevas, verás la de sabores exquisitos que te estás
perdiendo.
4.- ALIMENTOS POCO PROCESADOS
¡No te dejes llevar por la comodidad! Incorpora
alimentos frescos a tu nevera y cocínalos tú mismo
siempre que sea posible. Reducirás sal, aditivos y grasas
innecesarias que los fabricantes añaden a sus productos
para hacerlos más atractivos a nuestro paladar.
5.- NO OLVIDES EL EJERCICIO MODERADO
30 minutos al día pueden ser suficientes para llevar una
vida saludable. ¡Es imposible que no puedas sacar media
hora al día para practicar un poco de ejercicio! Revisa
tus costumbres y elimina algunas que no te benefician.
Es sólo cuestión de prioridades.
Pero, además, en TM te damos otros consejos: disfruta
de la vida, sonríe siempre que puedas y sé feliz.

Other food types which shouldn’t be missing from
your diet are: Legumes (at least twice per week); Dairy

& nuts (such as Walnuts, Hazelnuts, and Almonds),
although these should be eaten sparingly due to their
calorific content. Cereals (wholegrain where possible)
constitute a solid base for an adequate nutrition.
3. - AIM FOR VARIETY
In terms of your diet, the more variety the better. This
way, you will obtain all of the necessary elements
for body and mind to work like the perfect machine.
Don’t limit yourself to eating the same fish or the
same vegetables all the time; try new things and you’ll
discover the exquisite flavours that you’ve been missing!
4. - NON PROCESED FOOD
Don’t be fooled by convenience! Introduce your
fridge to fresh produce and cook it yourself whenever
possible. This way, you’ll reduce your salt intake, as
well as avoiding unnecessary additives and fats which
manufacturers habitually add to these products to make
them more attractive to our pallet.
5. - DON’T FORGET MODERATE EXERCISE
30 minutes per day can be enough to lead a healthier
lifestyle. Surely everybody can find just 30 minutes
each day to do some exercise?! Review your habits
and eliminate those which don’t befit you. It’s a simple
question of priorities.

Since our founding, we have always been committed to the idea that our
corporate activities should be inspired by and founded on ethical principles of
good governance and openness, addressing the defence of social interests and
creating sustainable value for society, citizens, employees, suppliers, clients and
shareholders. And to continue with our concern for ongoing improvement in
our good governance practises, we have now set up a Corporate Governance
Area which will be providing answers to all the challenges we currently face.

RESPONSABILIDAD SOCIAL
SOCIAL RESPONSABILITY
Proyecto Apoyando 2015
Siguiendo la trayectoria de Responsabilidad Social Corporativa que TM tiene
dentro de sus valores, se pone en marcha un nuevo proyecto para apoyar a
nuestros empleados con el fin de ayudar a hacer frente a circunstancias
especiales derivadas de alguna enfermedad o accidente.
Las situaciones o contingencias a las da cobertura este proyecto incluye tanto
a los empleados como a familiares que convivan con ellos, y se materializa
en una ayuda económica para cubrir los posibles gastos derivados de una
situación o contingencia médica, ya sea en forma de intervención, material o
desplazamientos.
Campaña de donación de juguetes
Esta campaña tiene como objetivo el fomento de la solidaridad entre los más
pequeños y consiste en la donación de juguetes que se entregan a Cáritas
durante la navidad.
Campaña de donación de comida y regalos de empresa
TM entrega a Cáritas todos los regalos recibidos por sus empleados durante el
año, y especialmente en navidad. Además la compañía aporta un importante
lote de comida para ayudar a los más necesitados.
Un día mágico
El día 12 de diciembre tuvo lugar una jornada llena de magia y sorpresas con los
niños de los empleados como protagonistas. Pudimos disfrutar de una película
para todos los públicos, actuación sorpresa y animación para los más pequeños.
El acto tuvo lugar en los cines IMF de Torrevieja, y tanto mayores como niños lo
pasaron en grande.
Support 2015 Project
Continuing our policy of Corporate Social Responsibility, on which TM places
high value, we are starting up a new project to support our employees and
provide help in the event of special circumstances derived from an illness or
accident.
The situations or contingencies that this project covers include both employees
and families or people living with them, and offers economic aid to cover possible
expenses derived from medical attention, medical material or equipment and
travelling expenses.
Toy donation campaign
This campaign aims to promote solidarity amongst children and consists of a
call to donate toys to be given to the charity organisation Caritas for Christmas.
Food donation and company gift campaign
TM is giving Caritas a series of company gifts received from employees
throughout the year, especially at Christmas. In addition, the company will be
donating an important consignment of food to help those in need during the
holiday season.
A magical day
On 12th December we celebrated a day full of magic and surprises for our
employees’ children. We watched a children’s film together, there was a surprise
act and a show for the kids.
This was held at the IMF Cinema in Torrevieja, and both the kids and adults had
a great time.
