Think bigger!
The other day I was looking at my agenda of the past four months,
and it struck me again how blessed we are to be involved with this
great company. Even though only the first quarter of 2010 has
passed, we have already achieved and enjoyed so much.
In fact, we have just returned from the European round of our Rally
tour and we all had a ‘brilliant’ time (‘brilliant’ is for all of our UK
Distributors who taught me that word!) Wembley, London, was the
venue for our 2010 European Rally. It is actually the second time
we have been to Wembley. Some of the ‘old timers’ will remember
when we were there in 1998. There have been a lot of changes
since then. The old Wembley Arena held approximately 2,000
people and back then that was plenty; we filled it 12 years ago, and
I think there were many in the room that were happy with a 2,000
Distributor turnout.
However, I remember thinking all those years ago that we could do
better. The great people of the UK and the rest of Europe need to
hear about our products and Marketing Plan. What was great about
our visit to the UK this year was to be back in London at the new
Wembley Arena, 12 years later, with 10,000 Distributors! To experience the growth, not only in numbers but in professionalism and
enthusiasm, was a real inspiration to me, and I hope that each one of
you who joined us there also felt the power of FOREVER! I want to
let Bob Parker and all of his staff know that this European Rally was
the best one ever. They have truly set a new standard for our events.
Millions of dollars were awarded to 208 Profit Sharing recipients,
we had thousands of recognitions, and a special training was offered
with the European Diamonds – WOW, what a weekend!
As I flew home, I thought a lot about the Wembley experience and
what it can teach us. There will be times when you look at your business and say, “We are doing just fine. We are earning good money
and enjoying a lifestyle that before we could only dream about…
all is well!”
We must be careful not to settle for what we have now. Inside each
of us is the capacity for greatness. We should constantly be looking
for a bigger space or be building bigger dreams. Of course, that’s not
to say you shouldn’t enjoy what you have already accomplished. Just
remember to never stop and plateau. It is a common mistake in our
business for people to get to where they thought was the limit of their
achievements, and then stop doing the basics that got them there in
the first place. Remember, if you’re not growing you’re dying!
So the question is… how do I keep growing?
1. PATIENCE: We need to understand that growth is not always
measured in case credits. There will be times when you are doing all
you can and things just don’t seem to be working. I can promise you
that if you do not quit, it is during these times that you will grow the
most. Never forget that results take time to measure.
2. REASON: The ‘WHY’ you are doing the business must be greater
than the opposition that you will inevitably face. For example, if
my motivational factor is a certain amount of money, as soon as I
reach that point I have lost all motivation to fight on. Therefore,
your WHY has to be emotionally based – people focused. These
types of motivations are without limits. To illustrate this: “How
much does a mother love her child? Without limit”! I was asked
in a TV interview this week what characteristics make a successful
Forever Distributor. It was a question I did not have to think about
– if you care about others as much as you care about yourself, you’ll
be a great Forever Distributor.
3. BE POSITIVE: Regardless of what happens, smile and be
cheerful. People are attracted to a positive outlook.
4. RELAX and HAVE FUN: Enjoy yourself. I love the expression,
“If I let go, I gain everything I ever wanted!”
Adjacent to Wembley Arena is Wembley Stadium, which holds
90,000 people. As I stood on stage this year in front of a sold-out
crowd of nearly 10,000, I thought, ‘This is a lot of Distributors,
but it is not enough!’ In the next 10 years if we do what we did in
the last 10 years, we could have 50,000 Distributors in the stadium
next door. Wouldn’t that be a great start? So with a little patience,
reason, a positive outlook, and continuing to have fun at what you
do, you will continue to grow not only as a Distributor but as a
leader – and someday count yourself among the 50,000.
Forever Yours,
Rex Maughan

ability to absorb and digest foods for maximum
health support.

FOREVER FIT
Fun with Fiber:
How to Lose Weight and still Feel Full!
Studies show that most Americans aren’t getting enough fiber. According
to the National Fiber Council, healthy adults should consume 32 grams of
fiber a day, but in reality most people are only getting 10-15 grams. While
increasing fiber intake can have many benefits such as improving digestive
health, regulating blood sugar, and lowering cholesterol, another important
benefit is that increased fiber in your diet can help you stave off weight gain.
To raise your fiber intake to recommended levels, increase by a few grams
each week over several weeks as your body adjusts. This will allow you to
integrate the following new tricks:
•
•
•
•
•
•
•
•
•
Start your day with a high-fiber breakfast such as oatmeal or cereal
topped with fruit.
Add shredded zucchini or carrots to your spaghetti sauce for an
extra fiber punch.
Use corn tortillas: they have 50% more fiber than flour tortillas.
Try sprinkling Pinto beans or Black beans on salads or soups.
Switch out refined flour crackers and pastas for whole grain versions.
Pay attention to fiber content on labels - a “high fiber” food will have
5 grams or more per serving.
Top your food with bananas, blackberries, or hummus.
Serve steak & potatoes with onions, mushrooms, and tomatoes.
Sip on soups such as lentil, bean-and-ham, and minestrone.
Forever Living offers two convenient products to help you along the road
to a high fiber diet. Try Forever Pomesteen Power® (#262) for an antioxidant boost with your fiber intake. And to increase intestinal health as you
add new eating habits, try Forever Living’s Aloe Vera Gel (#015). It’s a rich
compound of pulp and liquid with digestion-enhancing abilities that will
keep you feeling fit and trim.
According to the American Heart Association, diets high in fiber can reduce
the risk of coronary heart disease, chronic diseases, and obesity. Adding fiber
to the diet can keep you feeling full longer so you are less likely to overeat.
Since high-fiber diets focus on fresh foods and whole grains, they by their
nature will steer you towards low-calorie, high-volume choices. So start
adding fiber to your diet today, and see how much fun being a fiber foodie
can be!

FOREVER european rally 2010

$513,363.82 USD
Wow! What an event! European Rally 2010 in London,
England, was the most spectacular Rally ever! Over 10,000
Distributors from all over Europe packed Wembley Arena
and rocked the house. It was an exciting two days, filled
with music, dancing, entertainment, recognitions, and 208
Profit Sharing checks totaling over €6.2 million (that’s
over $8 Million US Dollars!)
It was a very British event, featuring King Henry VIII, King
Arthur & his Court, Excalibur, Royal Footmen and Robin
Hood. Friday’s festivities ended with a serenade from the
London City Choir and over 3,000 Brits singing “Pomp &
Circumstance” to all those in attendance. What a moving
and welcoming tribute we received!
Saturday began with a 2-hour training session from Europe’s
Diamond Managers. It was an inspiring experience from
which all Distributors could learn. The Rally kicked off
with the Band of the Grenadier Guards and recognition

of the Top 10 Distributors in Europe. Then 2010’s Miss
Sonya Europe was chosen – congratulations to Charlotte
Soulie from France. We’ll see you in Denver!
Europe’s Country Pride Award went to Romania, whose
Distributors were all dressed as bumble bees. The Spirit
Award was presented to Greece, for their amazing enthusiasm and for bringing more than 4 times the number of
Distributors to London as last year. Great job!
The final Profit Sharing checks were awarded with great
fanfare, as Robin Hood shot an arrow through the arena,
hitting his target on stage to ignite a great fireworks display.
The top check went to Hungary’s Miklós Berkics for the
third straight year. Way to go, Miki!
The party ended all too soon, but we know that everyone
went back home re-inspired to Make a Difference. Thanks
to Bob Parker and his UK staff for a fantastic Rally!

FOREVER DISTRIBUTOR HIGHLIGHT
Before learning about Forever, I was penniless and worked
picking strawberries in the fields of Santa Maria, California.
I used to work 12-14 hour days to support my children and
help my family. After working this way for 15 years, I developed several health issues which made it difficult to
keep working.
At that time, I was also taking English classes and studying
to become a U.S. citizen. One day after a particular health
scare, I was talking to a friend from my citizenship class and
she told me about Forever Living. I began drinking Aloe Vera
Gel and taking Bee Propolis, and noticed I was feeling better.
So I thought to myself, “If these products helped me, then I
can help a lot of people by sharing my experience.” My friend
began to train me as a Distributor, teaching me how to sell and
talk to others about the products, and I began to make money.
From then on, I felt much better.
I got to where I am today by learning that selling is not
the only secret to being successful as an FLP Distributor.
Two years ago, I discovered that the secret is recruiting
more Distributors and forming a community or ‘circle’ of
Distributors who support each other. Teaching them to recruit
more Distributors leads to even more success and it becomes a
ripple effect.

My life is completely different than before. First of all, I am
healthier than I have even been! And with FLP, I make four
times more than I did picking strawberries! I am still amazed
at how much my income has improved and relieved that I am
no longer doing manual labor. With my increased income, I
was able to send three of my kids to college, a dream I used
to think was impossible. Thanks to FLP, I have been able to
support my daughter, who graduated from Stanford and is now
completing a Ph.D. at U.C. Berkeley, my second daughter,
who graduated with a B.A. from U.C. Berkeley, and my son,
who is currently completing his B.A. at the University of
Southern California. I am amazed that I was able to support all
three of my oldest children through school when, as a humble
and working-class immigrant, I thought I wouldn’t be able to
support them beyond their high school diplomas.
with a pool and a huge backyard for my family and my dogs. I
plan to do this by expanding my team of Distributors, recruiting
in more places, and showing my Distributors how to recruit more
Distributors so that our FLP circle expands.
Under FLP, I have also qualified three times for a new car and
have qualified to go on vacations to places I had never dreamed
of visiting: Hawaii, Vancouver, Las Vegas, Dallas, and most
recently Orlando, Florida. My next goal is to buy a house
I would like to invite all FLP leaders to share their secrets of business success with others, regardless of which FLP branch they stem
from. If the leaders help others, they will be showered with many
blessings. Thank you, Forever!
When I worked in the strawberry fields, I felt like my boss owned
me. I was very much in debt back then, and now I have almost
finished paying off my debt, thanks to FLP! In addition, I love
all the free time I have as a Sapphire Manager. For example, now
I stay at home and can care for my youngest son. I am able to
cook meals for him and supervise his schoolwork. I can also take
time off to visit my daughters or my older son whenever I want. I
now have the luxury of having two dogs and being able to care for
them when I was never able to have pets before. I also take my
own extended vacations to visit my family in Mexico during the
holidays every year.

Estes Park, Color
Yes, Rallies! Have you ever thought of Rallies to be among
your essential business building tools? If not, we invite you to
move them to the top of your priority list right away!
Each Rally provides so much training, so many new announcements, and such a high level of energy and motivation that it
is an event you cannot afford to miss. And you certainly don’t
want to keep them all to yourself: these are the best motivation
and training tools you could ever hope for, to develop excitement and skills in your Distributors. To have the top achievers
and thousands of Distributors from all around the world, plus
the International Executives, all in the same place and concentrated on sharing ideas on how you can take your business to
record heights, certainly makes a lasting impression on your
group, and a very positive impact on your earnings.
One of the very first steps in developing a new Distributor
should be to instill the importance of attending every Rally.
Most Distributors throughout the world have two opportunities each year to experience these events: the regional Rallies
held in Europe, Asia, Africa, Latin America, and North
America; and the Super Rally held in August, also held in
Rallies!
North America. The vast majority of Distributors who attend
the Rally go home with heightened levels of enthusiasm,
loyalty, and skill. Rally attendees tend to grow their businesses
larger and stay with the Company longer than those who
choose to pass up these great opportunities.
Start now to make plans to attend this year’s Super Rally with
your group. Let them know that this is a must for their business, not an option. For those who are hesitating in committing
themselves to the FLP opportunity, attendance at the Rally will
usually turn the tide for them; so, do everything you can to get
them to join you in Denver, Colorado, from August 12-14.
Keep in mind that some, if not most, of the cost of attending
the Super Rally, can be deducted as a business expense (your
accountant can give you more specific guidance). Even though
it can be declared as an expense, it really is an investment – an
investment that pays big dividends. So, are you ready to take
advantage of this great tool? We hope so. See you in Denver!

FOREVER employee anniversaries
30 Years...
Since the very beginning, Forever Living
has been an incredible company. Even back when we used to
calculate the bonuses by hand and write each check personally,
we all knew that we were involved in something different. Back
then, Rex’s commitment and conviction to our goal of building the
greatest opportunity in the world was so strong that, even in the
tougher first years, we absolutely knew that Forever would span the
globe one day.
So how did a Utah-born and raised CPA end up at Forever?
Glen was taught to work hard and get a good education, and to
find a well-established company in a well-known and respected
marketplace. These expectations took him first to become the
CFO at a local broadcasting company here in Phoenix. For 10
years, he controlled the money at the TV station and things were
going really well until he met a man that changed his life. Rex,
recognizing the potential in Glen and realizing that the company
needed a safe pair of financial hands, approached Glen and offered
him a role in a brand new company called Forever Living Products.
So he left the comfortable confines of a large and successful TV
station to go against all that he was taught, and moved to a startup company selling ‘cactus juice!’ But Glen, bowled over by Rex’s
complete conviction and his hard-working, straight-forward and
honest attitude, took the plunge and joined Forever.
Initially Glen was asked to work on the new company’s tax returns,
but as is often the case in an entrepreneurial start-up, there’s a lot
for everyone to do, and Glen quickly realized he could contribute
in other areas of the company as well. He began to manage
everything from the switchboard operation, calculating the bonuses
by hand, inventory control, General Manager support, and even a
bit of on-stage singing and dancing!
Today, Glen oversees the Payroll and Human Resources
Departments, and also handles all of the Property & Casualty
insurance for Forever. On the side, he manages Forever’s Corporate
Plaza, a 92,000 square foot “top of the line” building, situated on a
beautiful lake, next to two 18-hole championship golf courses.
“As I walk through our Hall of Flags at the Home Office, which
represents all of the foreign countries where we do business, or when I
thumb through the International Directory and marvel at all of the
Forever Resorts, I am truly humbled. Despite all that has changed
over the past 30 years, so much has also remained constant. The
14 | www.foreverliving.com
quality of our products is the very best. The integrity of our Marketing
Plan and the dedication of our employees have not changed. Most
of all, our founder, Rex Maughan, has led us by example over the
years, demonstrating his hard work, integrity and intelligence. He has
been a great inspiration to everyone who works for this phenomenal
company, teaching us correct principles and letting us then govern
ourselves. Thank you, Rex, for setting the bar high and for giving us
the opportunity to strive to be our very best, just as you have done for
me during the past 30 years.”
Talking with Glen you can feel a deep sense of accomplishment
and appreciation as he reminisces about when he told his wife,
Jackie, that he ‘felt good’ about Rex and Navaz and he was going
to join this new company and become an Aloe Guy! Thankfully
Jackie agreed, and together they have contributed enormously
to the growth of the Forever family. Speaking of family, Glen
and Jackie have been busy over the years building an incredible
‘Banks’ family with 5 children, 28 grandchildren and 7 great
grandchildren!
“The past has been great, but I am more excited about the future –
we have never been stronger. The growth of the company has been
incredible up until now, but we are only just scratching the surface.
The potential is what truly excites me. To be able to see where Gregg
will take the company over the next few decades is going to be a
wonderful thing. I have loved every minute of my journey so far,
and I love the Distributors and the relationships we have built. The
camaraderie I have experienced with all the Executives and staff,
young and old, has been a massive blessing in my life. I would not
change a thing! What a privilege it has been to have been a part of this
remarkable journey.”
Sitting in Glen’s beautiful office over looking the lake I ask,
“Any regrets?”
Glen smiles and I think I can see a glistening in his eyes as
he shakes his head emphatically. “No regrets; it has been
almost perfect.”
“Almost…?” I ask
“Almost!” he repeats. “I wish I was 20 years younger so I could do
it all again!”
Glen Banks, Senior VP of HR & Risk Management
(interviewed by Aidan O’Hare, VP Europe)
25 Years
“I want to thank Rex, Navaz and Dave Hall for believing in me.”
Gerry McCarthy, Accounts Payable Manager
5 Years
“The past five years at Forever Living have been remarkable. I feel incredibly
fortunate to work in such a beautiful office and with such wonderful people.
I’d like to thank Marci, Bill and Sylvia for giving me the opportunity to work
here; the Distributor Support team for their friendship and support; and of
course, Rex, for creating a one of a kind company that treats its employees like
family. I’m definitely looking forward to see what the next five years bring!”
Joy Gomez, Distributor Support
Echo Bay Marina
There are three things visitors ask for when they
visit Echo Bay Marina, Nevada – the opportunity
to picnic, swim, and fish. “In the past, people used
to have to travel quite a distance over rough terrain
to do those things,” says Kay Munford, Echo Bay’s
General Manager. But that’s no longer the case
as the National Park Service will be building a new
launch ramp.
“In the process, there will be lots of nice new sandy
beaches and plenty of fishing areas just outside the
marina itself,” Munford says. “Our guests will be
able to drive in, park, and in short order be swimming
and fishing. And the fishing is good with some anglers
going out every day to chase lots of striped bass.”
Forever Resorts, L.L.C., took over the Echo Bay
operation in February 2010 and named Munford
to oversee the property where she has worked for
the past 16 years. “One thing we really like about
our little corner of the world here in the Overton Arm
of Lake Mead is the fact that boat traffic is less than
in the Boulder Basin. We’re off the beaten path more
than they are and we have more pristine coves and
quiet areas that allow the opportunity for enjoyable
solitude.” But Echo Bay Marina also offers boat
rentals in the form of ski boats, fishing boats, and
patio or pontoon boats as well as jet skis, for those
seeking a little more excitement.
The ownership transition with all its many details
has been a large, but smooth, undertaking. “We’re
looking forward to the changes that will ensure Forever
Resorts’ commitment to quality,” Munford says.
For more information on Echo Bay Marina, please

Summary of 2010 Company Policy Updates
(as of February 2010)
SUMMARY OF 2010 POLICY UPDATES AS OF
FEBRUARY 23, 2010
3.6*
(b) If the product returned by a terminating
Distributor was purchased at New Distributor Price, the NDP
profit will be deducted from the immediate upline sponsor
and, if the product returned is greater than 1cc, all bonuses and
case credits received by the terminating Distributor’s upline for
the products returned, will be deducted from the upline. If the
case credits were used for any level move-ups of the Distributor
or upline, those move-ups may be re-calculated after deducting
the case credits to determine if the move-ups should remain in
force.
4.8A new Distributor does not receive bonuses until
they have achieved the level of Assistant Supervisor. A new
Distributor who purchases two (2) case credits from the
Company within two consecutive months or less will advance
to the position of Assistant Supervisor.
13.1*All Distributors order directly from the Company. As
of June 1, 2009 all those at Distributor level will be required
to purchase at NDP (NDP = 15% discount off of retail price).
After a Distributor (regardless of level) personally purchases
at least 2 case credits of product within any two consecutivemonth period, they then purchase at the wholesale price. The
difference between the NDP and the Wholesale Price will be
paid to the immediate sponsor.
14.3.1.1 After two years, a terminated Distributor may reapply
subject to Home Office approval. Upon such approval the
Distributor will enter at the New Distributor level, and will not
have the previous downline organization restored.
14.3.3.1 (e): In addition to their retail activities, Distributors
may only sell product to their personally-sponsored
Distributors, but at not less than wholesale price. Any other
sale to other Distributors, either directly or indirectly, is a
prohibited transaction for both the selling and the buying
Distributors. The equivalent Case Credit of such a prohibited
sale shall not be allowed for purposes of meeting the Active
requirement or qualification requirement for any other benefits
within the Marketing program. Resulting adjustments shall be
made for this non-compliance. In addition, the participating
Distributors engaging in such prohibited activity are subject to
termination.
14.5.1 If a Distributor wishes to terminate their
Distributorship, they must submit a written request, signed by
the Distributor(s). The effective termination date is the date on
which the Home Office accepts the termination request. The
terminating Distributor forfeits the current sales level and all
downlines, including those in foreign countries, established at
the time. After two years, a Distributor may reapply subject to
Home Office approval. Upon such approval the Distributor
will enter at the New Distributor level, and will not have the
previous downline organization restored.
*Only portions of these paragraphs apply to countries who do
not have New Distributor Pricing.
