The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) provides
a person who is not baptized with a supportive group of
believers who accompany you on your own individual
journey of faith. We also welcome those who have not
received the Sacraments of Confirmation and Eucharist.
This may be the time for you to take the first step. For

FOOD PANTRY
We continue to ask for your support with donations for
our Food Pantry, it is always a great help! Please place
donations in the Barrel marked Food Pantry. There is a
need, for 1lb.and 2lb. bags of white rice and and beans,
canned soups, chili, peanut butter and jam. We have a need
for men’s TUBE SOCKS AND USABLE SLEEPING BAGS.
We no longer are taking egg cartons. PLEASE WE
DO NOT TAKE CLOTHING, TOYS,
HOUSEHOLD ITEMS OR FURNITURE.

Summer is upon us and it is important that
we maintain our church calendar and the use of our
facilities. Please mark off any activities that are happening
this summer on the main calendar for either community
and please indicate a contact person and phone # with the
activity. It is difficult for the maintenance person and the
staff when we find the building has been used the day
before and nothing is marked on the calendar.

El verano ha llegado y es importante que mantengamos el
calendario de la iglesia y el uso de nuestras
instalaciones. Por favor margue todas las actividades que
estarán pasando este verano en el calendario principal de
cualguier comunidad y por favor indique la actividad y una
persona a contactar y el número de teléfono. Es difícil
para la persona que da mantenimiento y la persona en la
oficina cuando encuentran que el edificio está usado el

VOLUNTEERS! VOLUNTEERS!
St. Vincent de Paul is hosting a “Rice Packing Parst
ty”!!!! Tuesday June 21 @ 1:15pm in the Religious
Education Building. SVDP is re-packaging bulk rice
into small baggies which are then distributed to the
families that partake in our bi-weekly food program
every other Thursday. It is an easy, fun activity that
will probably only take an hour.

VOLUNTARIOS! VOLUNTARIOS!
San Vicente de Paul esta presentado una "Fiesta de
Empacar Arroz"!!!! Martes 21 de Junio a la 1:15 pm en el
edificio de educación religiosa. SVDP esta preempacando bultos de arroz en pequeñas bolsas las cuales después son distribuidas a las familias que toman
parte del programa bi-semanal de distribución de comida cada dos Jueves. Es una actividad fácil y divertida
que posiblemente solo tomara una hora.Para mas información o preguntas por favor llame Alan Karbousky al

DAY OF REFLECTION
IL POVERELLO SECULAR FRANCISCAN FRATERNITY offers a
Day of Reflection with Fr. Tom West, OFM. Saturday June
th
25 at St. Philip the Apostle Church. 3730 Bohemian
Highway, Occidental. 9am – 3pm includes Mass and Lunch
Break. The main topic will be “Francican Mercy”. Donations
are gladly accepted to support the chuch. Bring healthy food
and drinks to share for lunch break. Call Ed Ringlein for info.

There is a 16 year old youth who is a parishioner of Resurrection Parish. He has received all his Sacraments at our
church. He is looking for a caring foster home for the next 18
months. Unfortunately, there is a lack of foster homes
available in the local area. This young man is wanting to
reach out to his church congregation to see if anyone would
be interested in providing him with a home until he turns 18
years of age, at which time other housing options would be
available. He is self
sufficient, motivated ,involved in the church youth group,
plays rugby, doing well in school and loves to read. Please

Parroquia Resurrección. El ha recibido todos los
Sacramentos en nuestra iglesia y esta buscando un hogar
que lo reciba por los próximos 18 meses.
Desafortunadamente, hay una escases de casas hogar en el
área l Hay un joven de 16 años que es un feligrés de esta
ocal. Este joven muchacho esta tratando de llegar a la
congregación de su iglesia para ver si alguien estuviera
interesado en proveerle con casa hasta que cumpla 18 años
s de edad, para entonces ya habrá otras opciones de casa
disponibles. El es autosuficiente, motivado, involucrado en
el grupo juvenil de la iglesia, juega rugby, va bien en la
