Th he present environmen ntal damage as result of the masssive producction of co onsumer go oods and seervices; it’ss leading ou ur civilizatio on to deal with a huge challen nge: to ch hange the industrial economies into sustaainable in ndustrial systems and to redesiggn the quan ndary of m making prod duction process undeer the perspective of m maximum eenergy and natural ressources exxploitation. Facing th his current outlook, tthe indicattors of energetic peerformancee emerge as a way to reach sustainabiility, since these in ndicators do o not requirred a high investment; they allow w to improviing the productive eenergetic capacity c of any organ nization an nd contribu ute: to geenerate eco onomic value, to reach the compettitiveness and to mitigaate the en nvironmenttal impact. In n this researrch: i) it is sttudied a higgh‐roasting industry of f coffee duee to the ecconomic an nd social weelfare impacct of this kin nd of industtry in our national co ontext. Furtthermore, tthis researcch analyzed d one of th he nine industries th hat are takking part o of the 90% % of Colom mbia’s marketplace. iii) it is esstablished tthe indicato ors of therm mal energeticc performan nce; and iii)) it was ap pplied a pro oposed metthodology in the modeel of integraal managem ment of en nergy.
