NEWS UPDATES
11/13/2014: Wed. Make-up Picture Day.
Common Core Standards Training for Teachers:
On Nov 10th, 12th, 13th our teachers are attending
2 day or ½ day trainings by WestEd @ TAS.
Teachers leave plans for substitutes to follow so
they continue to receive instruction. Please
remind your children to follow directions from
substitute teachers and remind them how ACES
students are respectful, responsible, and safe!
Please make an appointment with Ms. Raudry if
any concerns arise.
11/19/2014: ACES 2 Coffee with the Principal at
8:30 am. All ACES parents
are invited to attend to
share successes,
suggestions, concerns &
ask questions.
11/24/2014: Student Led Conferences – Pupil
Free Day (No School). Please bring your child to
this conference!

11/26 – 11/28: Wed.-Fri. Thanksgiving Break.
NO School. Classes resume on Monday,
December 1st.
MONTH of OCTOBER: 97.3%
Goal: 98%
ATTENDANCE: Bring your child everyday! Those
students that have high attendance are the most
successful in school! Kindergarten and 1st grade
are crucial grades so make sure your child is here
every day. Do not pick them up early unless it is an
emergency or they have a medical/dental
appointment as they miss academic instruction.

Contact teachers to help in classrooms
If you are available, please advise the ACES 1 or
ACES 2 office staff 24 hours before you volunteer.
Also, come and share your talents!! Do you know
how to:
 Knit
 Play an instrument
 Draw
 Dance/Zumba/Folkloric
 Play a sport
 Other skill

Box Tops as the parent who
contributed generously to the
school no longer has a student
attending ACES. Remember to bring
your Box Tops to school. The goal is
to earn $7,000 this school year. Ask family & friends to
save them too!
School Drop-Off & Pick-Up Safety
Tips for Parents
 Always pull up to the curb, on the appropriate side & not
against traffic.
 Never stop in moving traffic
to let kids out of the car. Do not
make u-turns in the middle of
the street.
 Kids should exit the car
alongside the curb, never in the
middle of the street side.
 Comply with the speed limit
in school zones.
 Never make a U-turn in front
of the school.
 DO NOT DOUBLE PARK – This
creates an unsafe situation for
parents, students and other
motorists.

EVENTOS PRÓXIMOS
NOTICIAS
11/13/2014: Re-tomo de fotos.
Entrenamiento sobre Estándares Estatales Comunes
(Common Core Standards) Los días 10, 12 y 13 de
noviembre nuestras maestras asistirán a un
entrenamiento por dos días y medio impartido por
WestEd en TAS. Los maestros han dejado lecciones
preparadas para el uso de los maestros sustitutos por
lo que continúan recibiendo instrucción. ¡Por favor,
recuerde a sus hijos que sigan las instrucciones de los
maestros sustitutos y recuérdeles que los estudiantes
de ACES son respetuosos y responsables! Por favor,
haga una cita con la Sra. Raudry si surgen inquietudes.
11/19/2014: ACES 2 Café con la Directora a las
8:30 am. Todos los padres
de ACES están invitados a

Día Libre para los Estudiantes (No Escuela). Favor de
traer a su hijo/a para esta conferencia.

clases se reanudaran el día lunes 1ro de diciembre.

sala de reuniones de la oficina principal.

ASISTENCIA: ¡Traiga a su hijo todos los días! ¡Aquellos
estudiantes que tienen una asistencia escolar alta son
los más exitosos en la escuela! Kindergarten y 1er
grado son grados cruciales grados así que asegúrese de
que su hijo/a está aquí todos los días. No los
recogerlos temprano a menos que sea una emergencia
o tienen una cita médica / dental, ya que pierden la
instrucción académica.
Necesitamos su ayuda para colectar BoxTops
pues el padre que contribuía
con BoxTops ya no es parte de
nuestra escuela. Recuerde
traer Box Tops a la escuela.
Nuestra meta es cumular
$7,000 este año escolar.

junto a la acera, en el mismo lado

de la calle de la escuela & no en
sentido contrario
 Nunca se detenga en
tráfico que está en movimiento para
dejar a sus hijos salir del automóvil,
no de vuelta en U a la mitad de la
cuadra.

Los alumnos deben salir del automóvil del lado de la acera,
nunca del lado de la calle.

Cumpla con el límite de velocidad en zonas escolares. Los
padres a menudo conducen 10 mph más rápido que el límite de
velocidad, esto pone a nuestros alumnos en peligro.

Nunca efectué una vuelta U en frente de la escuela.
 NO SE ESTACIONE EN DOBLE LINEA – Esto crea un
situación peligrosa para padres, estudiantes y otros
automovilistas.
