FIFTH SUNDAY OF LENT
DEAR PARISHIONERS and VISITORS:
Prayer to Saint Joseph
This Sunday is Share Lent
Sunday. It provides us an opportunity
to link prayer, fasting and almsgiving
in our faith journey in Lent. Say that
besides taking on more prayer in Lent
(such as stations of the cross), you
decide to give up alcohol as an
exercise in fasting. The money that you have saved by not
having your favorite cocktail could be set aside and offered
with prayer at the Share Lent Sunday second collection.
Oh, St. Joseph, whose protection is so great,
so strong, so prompt before the throne of
God.
I place in you all my interests and
desires.
Oh, St. Joseph, do assist me by your
powerful intercession, and obtain for me
from your Divine Son all spiritual blessings,
through Jesus Christ, our Lord, so that,
having engaged here below your heavenly
power, I may offer my thanksgiving and
This Share Lent second collection is sponsored by the
Canadian Bishops Development and Peace organization.
They are in partnership with groups in Africa, the middle
East, Latin and Central America to assist people who are
burdened with poverty and disabilities.
Your contribution to Share Lent can also be done on Passion
Sunday or online throughout the year at www.devp.org
Please see the Cathedral lobby after Mass for a display about
the Share Lent projects.

Grandes cosas has hecho por nosotros, Señor
avergonzada, no m ira.
