Seventeenth Sunday in Ordinary Time
Jesus is describing God’s immeasurable generosity when He
says in today’s Gospel, “Whoever asks, receives; whoever
seeks, finds; whoever knocks, is admitted:” But it should also
be the description of us as Christian stewards — those seeking
to follow Christ by using our gifts in service to others.

In the Gospel, Jesus teaches us that God is our “Father” and just as a
parent’s love for their children is unlimited, so is God’s love and care
for us unlimited.
This week, when you give to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul,
know that you are showing them that God loves them and that he
is indeed their “Father”.
We will meet this Monday, July 25th at 6:30pm at St. Joseph in
the Parish Center.

Agosto.
