Oración para el Año de la
Vida Consagrada

Second Collection January 24-25, 2015
Hispanic Ministries in the Archdiocese of Atlanta
The Archdiocese of Atlanta is blessed and enriched by
the presence of a diverse, vibrant and growing
Hispanic/Latino community both resident and migrant.
Their presence among us is a great source of hope as
well as a challenge. We embrace this challenge with a
renewed apostolic zeal and a missionary spirit as we
seek ways to promote and facilitate their full
participation into the life and mission of the Church
which is also their Church. Next weekend the
archdiocese has designated the second collection to
Hispanic Ministries. All contributions will stay in the
Archdiocese to help all the established Hispanic
ministries. Please be generous.
Today’s passages from Samuel and St. John’s Gospel describe
answering God’s call — His will in our lives. St. Paul teaches
that we are all part of the Body of Christ. God gives each of us
unique gifts with which to serve Him in carrying out His divine
plan. Through conversion of heart and mind, good stewards discern their vocational
call from the Lord. That call may be to religious life, marriage, or single life. Are we,
too, like Eli, Samuel, John, Peter, and Andrew open to the Lord’s call in our lives?

PSR SCHEDULE-January 2015
Jan. 19th or 21st - No Classes
(MLK Holiday)
January 20- Purpose
Life is meant to be lived with purpose,
direction, and meaning. We all desire
the same things in life: happiness, joy,
love, and purpose. Have you ever
spoken to a person who did not want to know true
happiness? Have you ever met a person who did not
desire to have purpose, meaning, and direction in
their life? Have you ever met a person who, in their
deepest desires, did not want to live their life in the
way that it was meant it to be lived? At some point
we all ask ourselves questions like “why am I here?”
and “what is my purpose in life?” We all ask these
questions about life because deep in our heart we
desire to know the real answers.
Additional Young Adult events this January will
also include a Social Event, Service Project and
Fundraising for our trip this spring! To be kept in the
loop follow us on Facebook: SPX Young Adult

January 28- The Hunger Games
The goal of this Edge Night is to
broaden the youths’ perspective on
the world, particularly by looking
at poverty around the globe. This
reality of poverty will then be
extended to the idea that the
deepest hunger in the world is the
hunger for God, even if most
people do not realize it. Christ calls
us to feed the poor; the youth will
see that this is not only in physical
matters, but also in spiritual.

Supreme Court making a stand that
life begins at Conception and ends
with Natural Death.
Jan. 25- Issue Night: Womb to
Tomb. As the name suggest this
night is a night all about LIFE! We
will be focusing on current issues
that attack the gift of life including
euthanasia and abortion and what

can respond bringing about a
culture of life!
