SACRAMENT OF BAPTISM
Baptisms for children take place in Spanish on the first and third
Saturday at 1 pm and third Sunday at 2:15 pm and in English on the
second Sunday of the month at 2:15 pm. Parents must register the
child at the Rectory at least one month in advance.

All children after the age of five can be registered into our Religious Education Program which begins every year in September.

CARDINAL’S STEWARDSHIP APPEAL 2015
In-Pew & Commitment Weekend
This weekend 2/28 & 3/1, at all Masses you will
have the opportunity to make a commitment to
the Cardinal’s Appeal, especially those who
have not received information through the mail.
In the pledge card you will be asked to write
your name, address, phone number, name of
the parish (Our Lady of Mercy) and the amount
of your pledge. Pledge Cards will be distributed
and collected during Mass. You do not have to
deposit money but only make a written

CONFIRMATION RETREAT
On March 6,7 & 8, is the retreat for the youth
in CCD, the retreat in mandatory for all those in
confirmation class. All others who are interested
in receiving the retreat btw the ages of 13 and
18, may register with the sisters, the form will
be available in the classes and should be filled
out and signed by parents, the donation is
$40, We are also receiving food and monetary donations: water, juice, fruits, rice,
bread, pasta, meats, dry beans , etc. Please
speak with the sisters. Thank You!
NOVENA FOR CONFIRMATION
RETREAT
The 25 of Feb., we will have begun the
annual novena for the youth that will be receiving the
confirmation retreat the 2nd weekend of march. The
blessed sacrament will be exposed every night at 7pm for
nine days until march 5th. Please join us in prayer for the
success of the retreat! All are welcome!
NEW PARISHIONERS
New parishioners are encouraged to be registered
in the parish as members. If you have been attending OLM for a while and have not registered, please
do so. It is simple, simply fill out a card with name

TREE OF LIFE
A Tree of Life is a memorial wall in form of a
tree. On it, parishioners can memorialize a
loved one, living or deceased. This was a gift
from Melba Negron & Lourdes Aponte in honor
of Fr. Rodriguez. Each individual plaque is in
memory of a loved one, a family or a group, the
donation is $150 each. If you are interested in
purchasing one or more, please speak to Melba
at the Gift Shop on Sundays or leave your
name and phone number at the office. Thanks.
THE FAMILY MASS
Our Family Mass is celebrated at 10 am every
Sunday for the children preparing for the Sacraments and their parents. The Mass is
bi-lingual (English and Spanish) and the children in Holy Communion are encouraged to
participate. The Confirmation youth can are
also be encouraged to attend this Mass. Participation in Holy Mass is mandatory to all in
the Sacramental Program. Thank you!

Las Misas pueden ser ofrecidas no solo
por el alma de un difunto sino también
por la salud de un enfermo, en acción de
gracias por favores concedidos y por
cumpleaños. También pueden colocar
intenciones en la Misa de 6 pm los domingos. Para una intención, favor de pasar por la oficina. Gracias.
CAMPANA DEL CARDENAL 2015
Domingo de Solicitud y Compromiso Este fin
de semana 2/28 y 3/01, dentro de las Misas
tendrán la oportunidad de hacer un compromiso a la Campana del Cardenal 2015, especialmente a aquellos que no han recibido la información en la casa. En la Tarjeta de Compromiso a usted se le pedirá escribir su nombre, dirección, número de teléfono, nombre de la parroquia (Our Lady of Mercy), y la cantidad de su
compromiso. La tarjeta será distribuida y recogida en la Misa. No tiene que dar dinero, solo hacer su compromiso. Gracias nuevamente por su apoyo. He aquí un ejemplo de
cómo hacer un compromiso de 5 meses:

MISA DOMINGOS 6:00 PM
Todos los Domingos Misa a las 6:00 pm en
la Iglesia para los que no puedan asistir en la
mañana.
MISA DE LA FAMILIA
La Misa de la Familia es celebrada todos los domingos a las 10 a.m. para
los niños/as, los jóvenes del Catecismo,
y sus padres. La Misa es bilingüe (ingles
y español), y se invita a los niños y jóvenes del Catecismo a participar activamente con las lecturas, los cantos, la colecta etc. Cada niño/ joven, debió de recibir un paquetito de sobres para el uso
de las ofrendas en la Misa dominical. Le
recordamos que todos los niños y jóvenes del Catecismo deben asistir. a Misa
todos los domingos. Gracias!
ARBOL DE LA VIDA
El Árbol de la Vida es un mural conmemorativo . En que los parroquianos pueden memorializar a un ser querido vivo o difunto. Este fue un
regalo del Comité de la Providencia a la Parroquia de Las Mercedes en honor del P. Ambiorix. Cada placa individual es en memoria de un
ser querido, familia o grupo, cuesta un donación de $150. Si esta interesado, favor de
hablar con Melba Negron en la Tienda los domingos o dejar nombre y teléfono en la
Rectoría.
RETIRO DE CONFIRMACION
El 6,7, y 8 de Marzo es el Retiro de confirma-
ción para los jóvenes de Catecismo, es mandatorio para todos los que están en confirmación y por
aquellos que tiene 13 a 18 años de edad, favor de
registrarse con las Hnas, las planillas estarán
disponible en clase y deben ser firmada por los
padres la donación será $40. También estamos
recibiendo donaciones de comida; agua, jugo,
arroz, pan, habichuelas, frutas, pasta, y carne,
también pueden hacer una donación monetaria. Favor de hablar con las hermanas.
