Congratulations to all recent graduates from high school and
college! We are very proud of our Immaculate Conception
School alumni!
Your child deserves a quality Catholic education at
Immaculate Conception School! Tuition assistance is
available for families with need or more than one child
through AZ tax credit scholarships. The school office is open
from 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Monday through Friday through June 30. Please call

accessible and attainable for your child.
Immaculate Conception School is currently seeking a highly qualified,
dynamic Preschool teacher for the 2016-2017 school year. Those interested in
applying for the position should contact Mrs. Mendoza at IC School (928) 783-5225

assistant for the 2016-2017 school year. Applicants must have experience working

Immaculate Conception School is currently seeking a part-time, cafeteria
assistant for the 2016-2017 school year. Work hours are 7:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Monday through Thursday and 7:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. on Friday. Applicants must
have experience with meal prep and cleaning. Those interested in applying should
contact Mrs. Mendoza at IC School (928) 783 -5225 or

Parents: Do you have a child between the ages of 5 and
17 years old? It’s very important that our children know
our Catholic faith. Immaculate Conception Parish offers
continuous knowledge of the Catholic Church and bible
study for children’s ongoing religious and spiritual growth.
Registration for English Confirmation Catechism 2016-2017 will begin Monday, June
13. Baptism and First Holy Certificates must be presented at time of registration.
The CCD office will be open on Mondays between the hours of 10:00 a.m. to 12:00
noon. Thursday office hours will be 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. and Fridays from 10:00 a.m. to
12:00 noon. The last day to register for Confirmation classes will be August 28th.
ALL YOUNG ADULTS AGES 18-30 Please mark your Calendars! The Arcoiris
Young Adult Group of St. Francis Church is holding a retreat June 23-26. This
experience will provide an opportunity to grow in faith and come closer to God.
Applications and detailed information can be picked up at Santa Cruz Bookstore, or
you may attend the group’s meeting held every Sunday at 7:00 p.m. in the St.
Francis Parish library. There will be a Pre-Encounter on Sunday, June 5th in the St.
Francis Parish hall from 9:00 a.m.– 2:30 p.m.
THE II COLLECTION TODAY will be for the Diamond Jubilee.
II COLLECTION NEXT WEEK will be for the Air Conditioning. We ask our
parishioners to please contribute $5-$10 to help with the high cost of cooling.

Estimados Feligreses:
Quiero expresar mi más profundo agradecimiento por su apoyo y oraciones durante mi servicio en
Inmaculada Concepción, especialmente durante mi reciente ausencia de la Comunidad.
He estado reflexionado sobre mi vida y sobre mis prioridades durante todo este tiempo de ausencia, y he
decidido dedicar mi vida ha atender las necesidades de mis padres que están enfermos. Por esta razón he
decidido dejar el ministerio sacerdotal y empezar el proceso de laicización voluntaria a través de la
Diócesis de Tucson.
Agradezco también a nuestro Obispo Gerald Kicanas por su apoyo durante todos estos años de servicio.
Estoy contento de saber que el Padre Manuel ha continuado el desarrollo de los proyectos que iniciamos.
Por favor continúen apoyando al Padre Manuel.

JUBILEE celebration IS HERE!
You are cordially invited to join the Clergy, Religious,
and Laity of Immaculate Conception Parish in
celebrating 150 years of the Catholic Faith in Yuma. This
special event, in addition to celebrating our Faith, will
recognize and honor 100 years of Catholic Education
provided by the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondolet, the
Sisters of Mercy, and the Franciscan Sisters of Christian
Charity to the people of Yuma County.
The 2016 main celebration will be on
Thursday, December 8, at 5:30 p.m. There will be no
parking at IC because the north side and the Msgr.
O’Keeffe Athletic Field will be used by Bishops, Priests,
Sisters, and the handicapped, elderly, and honorable
guests.
The south side parking area will be used by
school students, Parish staff, and the school faculty.
Therefore, additional parking will be at St. Francis Parish
and YCHS buses will transport people back and forth.
Our Parishioners will have priority. Invitations will be
presented to parishioners on Palm Sunday and on the
following Easter Sunday.
Those who want to participate must fill out
the registration form that will be inside the invitation and
return it to the Parish office as soon as possible, but no
later than June 30. We will then give you your tickets,
guaranteeing your participation in this historic
celebration. We will have 5 colors of tickets that will
indicate where you will be seated to witness this
Historical Solemn Mass.

After the June 30 deadline, invitations to the
Parishioners of all the Yuma County churches and to the
faculty, parents, and students of Yuma Catholic High
School will be issued. Therefore, if you are planning to
attend, please return your registration form as soon as
possible. It will be “First Come, First Serve.” Only
people with tickets will be allowed to participate due to
the shortage of space.
All who donated stained glass windows or
donated to the renovation of pews, the painting of our
Church, or renovation of the restrooms, etc, will receive
an invitation to the 150 Anniversary of the Church by
mail. They don’t’ have to fill out a
registration form.

Están cordialmente invitados a unirse al Clero,
Religiosos y Laicos de la Parroquia de la Inmaculada
Concepción para la celebración del 150 Aniversario de
la fe católica en Yuma, Arizona. Este evento especial,
además de celebrar nuestra fe, también reconoce y
rinde homenaje a 100 años de la educación católica
suministrado por las hermanas de San José de
Carondelet, las hermanas de la misericordia y las
Hermanas Franciscanas de la Caridad en el Condado
de Yuma.
La celebración del 2016 será el jueves, 8
de Diciembre a las 5:30 p.m. no habrá estacionamiento
disponible aquí en la Inmaculada porque se utilizara el
lado norte del estacionamiento y el campo Atlético de
Monseñor por Obispos, Sacerdotes, Hermanas y
Huéspedes, minusválidos, ancianos e invitados de
honor.
El lado sur del estacionamiento será
utilizado por estudiantes, y personal de la Parroquia por
lo tanto habrá estacionamiento adicional en la
Parroquia de San Francis los autobuses de la escuela
Católica de Yuma proveerán transportación de ida y
vuelta. Nuestros feligreses tendrán prioridad. Las
invitaciones serán repartidas durante el Domingo de
Ramos y al siguiente Domingo.
Aquellos que estén dispuestos a participar
tendrán que llenar el formulario que se encuentra dentro
de la invitación y tendrá que devolverse a nuestra
oficina, a más tardar el 30 del junio de 2016. Una vez
que usted reciba su boleto se le garantizara su
participación en esta celebración histórica. Los boletos
serán de 5 colores que indicarán el lugar donde será
asignado y pueda ser testigo de esa Histórica Misa
Solemne.

posible. Solo las personas que tengan boleto podrán
participar.

renovación de bancas, baños, puntura, etc. Recibirán
su invitación por correo para participar en la celebración
de los 150 años de la Parroquia. Estas personas no
