INFANT BAPTISMS
For children under 7 years of age, the sacrament is celebrated the
FIRST Sunday of the month at 2:00 pm. The par ents must r egister in the parish office at least 4 weeks prior to the baptism. Both
parents and godparents are expected to attend one catechetical session
in
advance, on the Wednesday before the baptism, at 7:00 pm.
SACRAMENTS OF CHRISTIAN INITIATION
Before being fully initiated into the sacramental life of the Church,
children over the age of 7 will need catechetical pr epar ation
through the RCIC process. Teenagers and adults will participate in
separate RCIA pr ocesses.

EL BAUTISMO DE NIÑOS
Solamente para los niños menores de los 7 años de edad, se celebra
el sacramento el SEGUNDO y el CUARTO domingo del mes a las
2:00 pm. Es preciso que los padres se inscriban en la parroquia por
lo menos 4 semanas antes del bautismo. Ambos padres y padrinos
deberán asistir a una instrucción catequética, la noche del Miercoles
anterior al bautizo a las 7:00 pm.
SACRAMENTOS DE LA INICIACIÓN CRISTIANA
Con el propósito de participar plenamente en la vida sacramental de
la Iglesia, los niños mayores de los 7 años de edad, necesitarán
prepararse en el proceso de Iniciación Cristiana Para Niños. Los
jóvenes y los adultos se preparán separadamente en el proceso del
RICA.

place according to the person’s age and knowledge of the Catholic

FROM THE PASTOR’S DESK
Dear Parishioners,
Green is the color worn at the liturgy in these summer months. The color symbolizes
the life of God and hope. The color matches the flush of plant life that is growing all around
us. July and August are months that we can open our doors and windows more to see the gift
of God’s creation more plainly as it blooms in the warmth of the sun. The color green reminds
us of the richness of life that God gives us. We need to take care of our environment. As we
explore the outdoors during the summer and fall let us ask God to help us appreciate more
the gift of creation. Let us consider ways that we may protect our environment from pollution
and other damaging practices so that the future generations may enjoy this beauty given to
us all.
This Sunday, we will have our International Food Festival. Enjoy the different foods
this Sunday afternoon. Enjoy the summer air and most of all enjoy one another’s company.
Thank you for being part of Our Lady of Fatima’s parish family. Join in the food festival fun!

Queridos Feligreses:
En estos meses de verano el verde es el color usado en la liturgia. El color simboliza la vida
de Dios y la esperanza. El color coincide con el color de la vida vegetal que crece a nuestro
alrededor. Julio y Agosto son meses en los que podemos abrir nuestras puertas y ventanas para
ver el don de la creación de Dios con más claridad, ya que florece con calor del sol. El color
verde nos recuerda la riquezas de la vida que Dios nos da. Debemos cuidar de nuestro medio
ambiente. A medida que exploramos el aire libre durante el verano y otoño pidamosle a Dios
que nos ayude a apreciar más el don de la creación. Vamos a considerar maneras en que podamos proteger a nuestro medio ambiente de la contaminación y otras prácticas perjudiciales
para que las generaciones futuras puedan disfrutar de esta belleza dada a todos nosotros.
Este domingo, tendremos nuestro Festival Internacional de Comidas. Disfruten de los diferentes alimentos este domingo por la tarde. Disfruten del aire de verano y sobre todo disfrútenlo
de la compañía mutua. Muchas gracias por ser parte de nuestra familia parroquial de Nuestra
Señora de Fátima. Únanse a la diversión del festival de comida hoy!

of the Purgatory Society for one year.
FAITH FORMATION OFFICE
The Faith formation program of our parish will begin Registrations on July 11th. If you have any questions

All children who attend the Public Schools are urged to attend from Grades 1 through 8. High School
Students who desire to receive the Sacraments of Holy Eucharist and Confirmation are welcome to sign up
as well and they will be instructed according to their age group.
