Course Description: The Arizona Department of Agriculture will offer a refresher
course for people who want to renew their Arizona Trainer Certification. Those
interested must be currently certified as a trainer or have their trainer certification
expired for no more than 30 days prior to the workshop.
The Refresher Course is also available to current licensed Pest Control Advisors (PCAs)
or Agricultural Certified Applicators (PUP/PUC/PUG) wishing to obtain an Arizona
Pesticide Safety Trainer Certification.
Workshop Format: This course will include updated information on pesticide laws
and regulations, newly available resources, and training requirements. Attendees will
also share their experiences as pesticide safety trainers and will provide short
presentations during the workshop. The Arizona Pesticide Safety Trainer Exam will be
administered at the end of the course.
Registration is FREE; however SPACE IS LIMITED to 30 people. Please register
early to reserve a space in the workshop.
Continuing Education Credit: Three hours of Continuing Education will be available
for certified agricultural pesticide applicators in attendance to obtain their Trainer
certification.

Descripción del curso: El Departamento de Agricultura de Arizona ofrecerá un curso
de actualización para capacitadores previamente certificados (en los últimos 3 años)
que desean renovar su certificación en Arizona. Aquellos interesados deberán tener su
certificación de capacitador al corriente o esta no deberá estar vencida por más de 30
días antes del curso de actualización.
El Curso de Actualización esta también disponible para personas con licencias actuales
de Consejeros de Plagas (PCAs) y también para aplicadores certificados agrícolas
(PUP/PUC/PUG) quienes deseen obtener su certificación como capacitadores de
seguridad de pesticidas en el estado de Arizona.
Formato del curso. Este curso incluirá información actualizada sobre leyes y
regulaciones de pesticidas, nuevos recursos disponibles y requisitos de capacitación.
Los participantes compartirán sus experiencias como capacitadores de seguridad en
pesticidas y proveerán breves presentaciones durante el curso. El examen para
certificarse como Capacitador en Seguridad de Pesticidas en Arizona se administrara al
final del curso.
La inscripción al curso es GRATIS, pero el CUPO ES LIMITADO a 30 personas.

Crédito de Educación Continua: Créditos de educación continua (CEU) estarán
disponibles para las personas que asistan al curso para obtener su certificación del
entrenador.
