INDICATOR 2.2, 2.3 The governing body operates responsibly and functions
effectively. The document below describes the guidelines and responsibilities of the
Principal and School Board.
PRINCIPAL AND ADMINISTRATION OF THE SCHOOL
General Responsibilities of the Principal
The position of Principal is the highest position within the Administrative operations
within the school. The Principal will be the official representative of the school in all
activities and operations appointed as necessary by the School Board.
The Principal will represent Josue Christian School in all activities whether they are
national, international, legal or of a different nature.
The Principal may delegate another member of the school to represent him or her in an
event, as long as the School Board approves the delegated member.
The Principal will be responsible of the effective functioning of the School in all respects;
all internal or external activities whether they are administrative, economic, or teaching
related will be under the Principal’s supervision.
The Principal will be held responsible for fulfilling objectives, goals, plans, and School’s
purposes.
Subject to the limitations of these operational procedures, the Principal shall have the
following specific duties and responsibilities:

In order to achieve an effective management of all the activities of the school, it
will be necessary that the Principal is present in all daily activities.

In order to fulfill all responsibilities and achieve all goals and plans established by
Josue Christian School, the Principal must ask for advice and necessary
resources to succeed in all activities that are under his or her responsibility and
supervision.

The Principal will be informed by the School Board of any changes or
modifications of policies and procedures, as well as any decisions that affect
daily operations of the school, whether they affect teachers, administration,
finances, enrollment or activities of another nature.

The Principal will receive in writing such regulations from the School Board, to
start executing them; however, he or she can send in his observations to the
School Board to be discussed during the next meeting.

The Principal may and must recommend whenever is deemed necessary any
recommendations, or observations related to policy changes or modifications of
procedures, methods, etc. Such recommendations must be sent to the School
Board in writing in order to be discussed during the meeting and determine a
plan of action.

To seek the advice and counsel of the senior pastor of Josue Christian Church in
the spiritual operations of the School while administering in the following areas:
1. To minister to the educational and spiritual needs of the students of the School
in his/her capacity of Principal;
2. To fill approved employment positions of the School with candidates of his/her
choice and to set their salaries within budgetary position guidelines, to remove or
otherwise terminate employees under his/her supervision;
3. To establish job descriptions and duties of faculty and staff; to supervise and
evaluate
School
personnel;
to
establish
review
procedures
and
staff
development;
4. To serve as the instructional leader of the School in the programs and services
offered; to supervise the instructional programs of the School; to select and
implement curriculum, to establish long-range planning efforts for the
improvement of the school.

To present the annual school budget with appropriate positions and designations
to the School Board for approval; to make recommendations to the School Board
for tuition and fee schedules; to supervise the financial affairs of the school as
prescribed by the School Board; to oversee any fund-raising activities conducted
by the school; to supervise the hiring of new personnel.

To present to the School Board a plan for any recommendations regarding
school fees, school enrollment, capital investment, national demands for
improvement. All personnel must collaborate in the creation of the plan
aforementioned.

To monitor the monthly budget of every department and send the report to the
School Board notifying them of any variation or recommendation/observation
regarding the budget.

To serve as liaison between the School Board and Josue Christian School
employees. To communicate all decisions made as well as new policies or
procedures established and designed by the School Board.

To have informative meetings with the Academic Coordinators of all
Departments.

To regularly perform Performance Assessments to all Coordinators.

To serve as liaison between the School Board and parents to communicate
policies, procedures and guidelines established by the School.

To accomplish all other duties and responsibilities as may by required by his/her
calling as Principal of Josue Christian School or may by required to fulfill his/her
charge as prescribed y these operational procedures.
COORDINATION

The Principal must seek the well being and unity of all employees; He or
she must also seek that that the school personnel have equality of rights
and opportunities.

Must coordinate all activities and duties of the school. In order to
effectively coordinate activities, the Principal must use the proper
hierarchical lines of authority described in the organization chart.

Must serve as a liaison between Josue Christian Church and the School. It
is the Principal’s responsibility to interpret and carry out the guidelines and
regulations established by the Pastor and the official body of the church.

Must seek and foster a good and adequate relationship with parents as
well as coordinators, teachers, administrative staff.

Must ensure that all employees understand their responsibilities as
Christians and professionals at their jobs.
Selection and Annual Review of Principal
The Principal of the School shall be selected by a majority vote of the School
Board at such time as a vacancy may occur and must meet the qualifications of Section
The candidate so elected by the School Board must be approved by majority vote of the
Church Board in order to become Principal and shall serve until otherwise removed.
At least annually the School Board shall review the performance of the Principal
during the past year. On the basis of its review, the School Board shall decide whether
to retain the Principal and make appropriate decisions regarding his/her annual salary
and benefits. School Board action to terminate the principal must be approved by
majority vote of the Church Board at a regular meeting or special meeting called for that
purpose.
Vacancy and Search Procedures
Should the position of Principal become vacant due to death, resignation,
disability, termination, or otherwise, the School Board shall establish such search
procedures as may be necessary to locate a qualified candidate or candidates for the
position. The final selection of a qualified candidate according to the provisions of
Section 4 (below) will be accomplished by majority vote of the Board of Directors of
Josue Christian Church.
Qualifications
A candidate for position of Principal must meet the following qualifications:
a. Shall have undergone a born-again conversion experience, accepting
Jesus Christ as the Lord and Savior of his/her life;
b. Shall have received the baptism of the Holy Spirit;
c. Shall have developed spiritual maturity to live an overcoming life led by
the Holy Spirit;
d. Shall support the purpose and doctrines of Josue Christian School and
Josue Christian Church.
e. Shall meet the qualifications of licensing according to the operational
procedures of Josue Christian Church.
f. Shall be committed to the calling of principal and be willing to minister to
the students, families, and staff of the school;
g. Shall evidence sufficient academic and/or professional qualifications to
equip her/her for the position of principal;
h. Shall possess any other spiritual or professional qualifications as may be
necessary to the position and as specified by the School Board.
Other Administrative Positions
The principal of Josue Christian School may select such personnel for
administrative positions as required for the necessary operation of the school and as
approved by the School Board.
SCHOOL BOARD
Responsibilities of the School Board
Subject to any limitations of these operational procedures, the School Board shall
have the following powers:
a)
To serve as the collective legal representative body of the school;
b)
To perform the directives of the Josue Christian regarding the purpose,
goals and objectives of the school.
c)
To work within the principal in establishing the spiritual climate of the
school in partnership intercessors on behalf of the school; to foster
spiritual growth among the staff, students and their families;
d)
To meet and confer with the Board of Directors of Josue Christian
Church in the development of the School Budget with the advice,
counsel and approval of the Church Board.
e)
To establish salary guidelines (in accordance with budget specifications)
for those persons performing necessary services for, or in the employ of
the school and may require from said persons, if deemed necessary,
security for the faithful performance of their duties; to approve tuition and
fee schedules for the school;
f)
To select or remove the Principal of the School; to regularly evaluated
his/her performance; to establish salaries and benefits for the Principal
within budgetary specifications;
g)
To establish employee positions of the school; to establish salary
guidelines
and
benefits
for
said
employees
within
budgetary
specifications;
h)
To fill vacancies on the school board in accordance with these
operational procedures;
i)
To establish such committees as may be required for the necessary
business of this school;
j)
To fix and determine the place and time of meetings of the school board
in accordance with these operational procedures;
k)
To borrow money and incur indebtedness for the purposes of this school
as approved by the Board of Directors of Josue Christian Church and to
cause to be executed and delivered therefore in the corporate name
promissory
notes,
bonds,
debenture,
deeds
of
trust,
contacts,
mortgages, pledges, or other evidences of debt and security therefore
with Church Board approval;
l)
To annually review the programs, services, and official policies and
procedures of the school and make appropriate recommendations;
m)
To serve as the final appellate body in grievances and appeals involving
staff and/or students of the school.
n)
To enact, amend, or revoke the operational procedures of the
Corporation, or any portion thereof in accordance with Article X;
o)
To exercise all of the rights and powers of the school board as conferred
by these operational procedures as approved by the Board of Directors
of Josue Christian School.
p)
To select and remove all officers or agents acting as legal
representatives of the School within the limitations of these operational
procedures; to select and empower such representatives, by majority
vote of the Board, with such power and authority of the school Board in
the management and affairs of this school in accordance with these
operational procedures.
Number, Method of Selection, and term of Office
The total number of members on the School Board shall be no fewer than five (5)
and no more than nine (9). The president of Josue international Ministries and the
pastor of Josue Christian Church by virtue of their office shall serve on the School
Board. The Charter Board shall be composed of four additional School Board members
appointed by the Church Board, member from among the membership of Josue
Christian Church for varying terms.
The president of Josue International Ministries shall be the Chairman of the office
of chairman. The pastor of Josue Christian Church shall be Vice-chairman and be
veritable, performing all duties in the absence of, or that is assigned by the chairman.
The chairman and vice-chairman shall have the right to discuss, make motions and
resolutions, and vote on all matters presented to the Board.
Should the President of Josue International Ministries and the Pastor of Josue
Christian Church be the same individual, then that individual by virtue of their offices will
serve as Chairman of the School Board, and a Vice-Chairman shall be elected from
among the School Board members by the Church Board members.

Election of the School Board
School Board Members and a maximum of Nine (9) School Board
members maintained. Parent Representatives may or may not be elected by majority
vote of the Church Board at the Annual Meeting or special meeting called for the
purpose.
Candidates for upcoming vacancies in Parent Representative Positions will be
selected from a slate of qualified nominees with no fewer than two (2) qualified persons
per position. The state of nominees will be under the advisement of the Church Board.
The Nominating committee will qualify candidates according to section 4 below and
represent the slate of nominees to the Church Board for their discussion and election.
Candidates for Chairman and other Board of Director appointed positions shall
be elected by their operational procedures at a regular or special meeting called for that
purpose and n advance of any anticipated vacancy or expiration of term.
Qualifications
Candidates for School Board will meet the following qualifications:
a) Shall have undergone a born-again conversion experience, accepting Jesus
Christ as the Lord and Savior of their lives;
b) Shall support the purpose and doctrines of Josue Christian School and of
Josue Christian Church.
c) Shall have commitment to the improvement of the School, academically and
spiritually, within its stated goals and objectives, and shall demonstrate a
servant’s heart to the needs of the school;
d) For those who are parent representatives, shall have a child currently in
attendance at Josue Christian School and shall have all financial accounts in
good standing with the school;
e) For those are representative Josue Christian Church, shall have been a
regular attendee of the church for a least one (1) year;
f) Shall possess any other qualifications of spiritual maturity or other personal
qualifications as may be necessary to the position and as specified by the
Church Board of Directors.
Removal from Office and Vacancies
A parent representative may be removed from office for just cause by majority
vote of the School Board and/or Church Board constituting a quorum at any regular
meeting or special meeting called for that purpose, and must be approved by majority
vote of the Josue Christian Church at any regular meeting or special meeting called for
that purpose. Just cause in this instance may include physical impairment or inability,
consistent and or gross incompetence, acts or moral turpitude, conviction of criminal
behavior, actions in violation with the doctrine or purpose of Josue Christian Church or
Josue Christian School, or impeding the spiritual growth of the school as determined by
either the Board of Directors of Josue Christian Church or the School Board.
A School board member elected by the Board of Director of Josue Christian
Church may only be removed by majority vote of the Church Board of Directors at any
regular meeting or special meeting called for that purpose.
The school board may petition the church board for removal of board-appointed
member by majority vote of the school board at any of its regular or scheduled meetings
the church board of directors must then scheduled a meeting to discuss the petition and
make its determination. All decisions so made by the church board of directors will be
final.
Quorum and Meetings
Quorum for all meetings of the School Board shall be a majority of all current
voting members on the School Board in order to conduct official business of the Board.
The School Board shall conduct its Annual Meeting and as many regular and/or
special meetings as may be necessary for the business of the school.
OFFICERS OF THE SCHOOL BOARD
Selection and Term of Office
The executive officers of the School Board shall be the Chairman, Vice
Chairman, Secretary, Treasurer, and any other officers required for the necessary
business of the School and will be elected (with the exception of the Chairman) by
majority vote of the School Board constituting a quorum at any regular or special
meeting called for that purpose.
The term of office (including the Chairman and Vice Chairman) will be indefinite.
Chairman of the School Board
The Chairman of the School Board shall preside all meetings of the School
Board. He/She shall set the time and place of all its meetings, regular and special,
within the provisions of these operational procedures. The Chairman shall serve as
official liaison with the Church Board and shall prepare an Annual School Report to that
body and any other reports as may be required. He/She shall also serve as official
duties and act in capacity as may be prescribed by them School Board within the
provisions of these operational procedures.
Vice Chairman of the School Board
The Vice Chairman of the School Board shall act in the capacity of the Chairman
in his/her absence.
The Vice Chairman shall perform any other duties or act in any other such
capacity as may be prescribed by the Board within the provisions of these operational
procedures.
Secretary
The Secretary shall keep, or cause to be kept, true and accurate minutes of all
meetings and activities of the School Board. He/She shall keep an official book
containing the current names, addresses, and telephone numbers of those currently on
the School Board. The Chairman shall have custody of the minutes of the School Board
and these operational procedures, and such other books, papers, and records as the
School Board may require, and the Secretary will also maintain records of all minutes.
He/She shall assist the Chairman in notifying all members on the School Board of
upcoming regular and special meetings of the School Board. The Secretary may also be
granted any other powers by the School Board within the limitations of these operational
procedures.
Treasurer
The Treasurer shall keep full and accurate accounts of receipts and
disbursements in official books kept for that purpose. He/She shall disburse, or clause
to be disbursed, the funds of the School and shall render or cause to be rendered to the
School Board and have any other powers and authority as prescribed by the School
Board within the limitations of these operational procedures.
The office of Secretary and Treasurer may be separate officers or may be
combined into a single office. The School Board may also appoint such Assistants to
either officers, and prescribe their functions, as it may require for its necessary
business. Assistants need not be elected School Board members.
MEETINGS
Annual Meeting
The School Board shall be required to conduct its Annual Meeting during the
month of June at such a time and place as it may designate for the election of officers,
appointment of committees, and any other business needed, or other business required
by the Church Board.
The Church Board shall be required to conduct its Annual School Meeting during
the month of June, and any other business that may be needed by the School Board.
Regular Meetings
The School Board and any Committees may schedule such meetings and at
such intervals as each may deem necessary to conduct their business in accordance
with these operational procedures. Regular meetings will be scheduled during the
normal course of a scheduled meeting or meet at such regularly scheduled time as
established in advance and upon the approval of the majority of the School Board.
Special Meetings
Special meetings of the School Board may be scheduled by its respective
chairman, or by the majority of School Board members. Special meeting shall be
conducted for specified purpose or purposes and no other business may be conducted
at such meeting.
Notification of School Board Meetings
For all meetings of the School Board, the Chairman of the School Board Shall
give, or cause to be given, written notification to the Principal and all Persons on the
School Board at least one week in advance to any scheduled meeting. In lieu of this,
he/she may give oral notification during any current meeting of the Board with written
notification to any absentees.
In the event of special meetings of the School Board or any of its committees, the
Chairman shall give a notification by a written email or telephone call at least five (5)
days prior to the date of the meeting and must give the purpose for which the meeting
was called. This may be waived by unanimous vote of the School Board and so
recorded in the Board minutes.
FINANCIAL CONSIDERATIONS AND INDEMNIFICATION
Coordination with the Church Board of Directors.
Decisions made by the School Board impacting on the property of Josue
Christian Church, the establishment of debt and/or financial liability, or otherwise
involving funds directly supplied by Josue Christian Church, shall be subject to the
supervision and approval by the Church Board. Assets of the School shall not be sold,
distributed, leased or otherwise bound in contractual obligations without the advice and
review of the Church Board of Directors.
In Addition, the Church Board of Directors may, from time to time, require the
School Board to submit such reports, statements, and records detailing the financial
condition of the School.
Compensation
School Board members, officers, of the School shall receive no financial
considerations or other benefits by virtue of the position held. This shall not preclude
any just compensation for services rendered or expenses incurred on behalf of the
School and as approved by the School Board, it shall not affect those duly selected
employees of the School.
Financial Obligations
Any properties or facilities loaned to or used by said School by a private
individual, whether he/she is a School Board member, Director, Elder, or Deacon of
Josue Christian Church shall receive just recompense for its use.

OBJETIVO DEL CARGO:
La Junta Directiva, define, diseña y aprueba las Políticas Generales del Colegio y los
estatutos, y sus modificaciones. Al mismo tiempo, velan porque estas políticas y
estatutos, se cumplan en forma correcta.
PRINCIPALES TAREAS:
● Es responsable de definir y de revisar la buena ejecución de todas las
operaciones de la institución, de los resultados financieros y operativos, de la
conducta apropiada de sus miembros, de la buena imagen del Colegio tanto a
nivel nacional como internacional y de todas las representaciones ya sean
legales o no.
● Es responsable de aprobar los procedimientos generales, académicos,
administrativos y financieros. Controla o supervisa (directa o
indirectamente) que estos se cumplan correctamente.
● Vela para que los objetivos principales del Colegio sean cumplidos tanto en
los alumnos, directores, profesores, padres de familia, y personal
administrativo.
● Debe constantemente revisar la situación financiera de la institución, del uso
adecuado de los fondos, donaciones, apoyos o ayudas financieras, de
acuerdo a los programas preestablecidos y aprobados.
● Aprobar programas especiales de pago de escolaridad en los casos
excepcionales. Entre estos pagos, se considera el programa de completas y
medias becas, o descuentos especiales.
● Revisión de las comparaciones presupuestarias del Estado de Perdidas y
ganancias del Colegio, tanto mensual como la acumulada del año.
● Responsable de establecer rangos de sueldos para los diferentes puestos,
cargos o trabajos; aprobación de incrementos salariales; establecimiento de
sistemas de evaluación relacionando actividades operacionales de la
institución, con circunstancias nacionales, ya sean éstas de carácter
económico, político o social.

OBJETIVO DEL CARGO:
Dirigir y coordinar el buen y efectivo funcionamiento del Colegio tanto en el área
administrativa como académica.
Es responsable del cumplimiento de objetivos, metas, planes y propósitos del
colegio.
PRINCIPALES TAREAS:
● El Director debe ser informado por la Junta Directiva a través de reportes
sobre modificaciones de políticas y procedimientos, así como sobre
resoluciones que afecten las operaciones diarias y eventuales del colegio,
sean estas de carácter docente, administrativas, financieras, de admisión o de
otra índole.
● Lleva a cabo una junta periódica con los coordinadores académicos para la
elaboración del Plan General de Desarrollo Anual del colegio.
● El Director puede y debe cuando lo considere, recomendar cambios o diseño
de las políticas, procedimientos, métodos o estrategias a la Junta Directiva,
para que éstos lo aprueben y determinen su plan de acción.
● Consultar y buscar la orientación adecuada del Pastor General de la Iglesia y
Junta Directiva del colegio, cuando lo necesite, específicamente en las
siguientes áreas:

Presentar el presupuesto anual del Colegio por el departamento, por áreas,
incluyendo no solo el presupuesto de gastos y costos, sino también las
proyecciones de ingresos, incrementos de alumnos, becarios, beneficios y
donaciones esperadas, inversiones a capital, flujos de efectivo, nuevas
contrataciones.
Presentar a la Junta Directiva, recomendaciones de nuevas cuotas e
escolaridad, basadas en necesidades, cantidades de alumnos, inversiones de
capital, exigencias estatales, mejoramiento y competitividad. Todo el
personal laboral de la institución deberá colaborar en la elaboración de dicho
presupuesto, y estar conciente de las necesidades y mejoras.
Servir de enlace entre la Junta Directiva y los empleados del Colegio; darles
a conocer resoluciones tomadas, nuevas políticas reglas o procedimientos
establecidos y diseñados por la Junta Directiva. Asegurarse que éstos sean
cumplidos y obedecidos por todos.
Coordina la elaboración y modificación de los planes de estudio en unión
con los coordinadores académicos.
Llevar a cabo reuniones informativas con las coordinaciones de área.
Reunirse con cada uno de los coordinadores y supervisar el trabajo de ellos.
Realizar periódicamente las Evaluaciones del Desempeño de los
coordinadores.
Ser el enlace informador a los Padres de Familia en cuanto a políticas,
reglas, y procedimientos del Colegio.
Todas aquellas responsabilidades, actividades u operaciones que el puesto
amerite.
