Usually awarded for student skills,
interests, area of study, or merit

Work-Study/Trabajar y estudiar

Money earned through part-time jobs while
going to school/El dinero se gana en trabajos

Student must indicate on the FAFSA that they

Loans/Préstamos

Loans fall under two categories:
◦ Subsidized- the interest on the loan is paid by the
government while the student is in school
◦ Unsubsidized- family starts paying the interest on the
loan right away
—
