A few items of interest from Fr. Fitzgerald:
A new priest resident… Our new priest resident
has arrived. Fr. Carlo Calleja, a priest from Malta
will be pursuing a Doctoral degree in Theology at
Boston College. I have asked Fr. Carlo to provide
some biographical information as follows:
“My name is Fr. Carlo and I am 34 years old from
Malta, a tiny island in the middle of the Mediterranean Sea with a population of about 450,000 people.
After working for two and one half years in an acute
rehabilitation hospital as a qualified physical therapist, in 2008, I decided to finally respond to God’s
call and to start my formation towards the priesthood. I was ordained a deacon on November 9,
2014 and a priest on July 3, 2015, during which time
I was serving in a village in the south of the island
while completing my final studies in theology. I
have now been asked by my Bishop to pursue a
course in Christian ethics at Boston College, which
will last 4 or 5 years. Fr. Fitzgerald has been so kind
as to welcome me to the parish community. I enjoy
swimming and going on long walks – when I am not
buried under my books, that is!”
I know that all will give Fr. Carlo the usual Saint
Columbkille hospitality when he arrives.
_
RCIA… The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults
will start up again this fall. The program is for individuals who are interested in becoming Catholic
who have never been baptized or have been baptized
in a Protestant denomination. Also, it is for Catholics who have not received the sacraments beyond
Baptism. Details about the program will be forthcoming in future bulletins and Mass announcements
for anyone you know who may be interested in the
program. Spread the word to anyone you may know
who may have interest.

Monday, August 15, is NOT a Holyday of Obligation. Mass will be celebrated at 7:00 and 9:00 am.

vamos a quedar atrapados. Inevitablemente, estamos
mal y sufrimos las consecuencias.
Dios siempre sabe mejor. Su plan todo lo toma en
cuenta.
Escucha a tu corazón y conciencia,
