Are you tired, a bit negative or anxious? We lose life especially when we suffer life’s hurts.
We will experience how to heal life’s hurts with the five stages of grief: denial, anger,
bargaining, depression and acceptance. Come to heal life’s hurts and return home filled with
new life.
Saturday February 14th: Valentine’s Day Healing Eucharist
Valentine's day is to honor those who have loved us and to grow in
loving more deeply. Since the one who loves us most is Jesus, we
will pray for healing of whatever keeps us from loving as deeply as
Jesus loves us. Come and experience how God heals us deeply
(physically, emotionally, spiritually) when we pray as Jesus prays.

Fr. Matthew Linn, SJ (as a team with Dennis and Sheila Linn) has focused on integrating
physical, emotional, and spiritual healing. He is a member of the Association of Christian
Therapists with advanced graduate degrees in sociology, anthropology, spirituality, and
theology. Since 1970 he has given courses and retreats in over 60 countries from Alaska to
Australia. Ordained in l973 he currently lives in a Jesuit community in Minneapolis where he
trains spiritual directors at Sacred Ground and serves on the editorial board of Presence: An
International Journal of Spiritual Direction. The Linns have written 22 books translated in over
20 languages, (all in Spanish) and with over a million copies in English.

This Parish Mission is being hosted by St. Augustine's Prayer Ministry. We have several ways to come, learn and
experience another way of praying!
• St. Augustine's Prayer Ministry meets the 4th Monday of the month at 7pm in the St. Joseph's Room. Any one is
welcome to attend to join us in prayer and a teaching on healing prayer.
• Throughout the year, the prayer ministry schedules Saturday Mornings of Soaking Prayer. This is an opportunity to
experience the Lord's healing presence in a reflective and prayerful atmosphere called Soaking Prayer. This is a time
to bring your thoughts, concerns, praise and thanksgiving to the Lord. It has been known that many experience His
healing touch during this time of being "soaked" in the quietness of His Love. Also, trained prayer ministers are
available for personal prayer time.
• Throughout the year the parish has several Masses with the Anointing of Sick Sacrament. Soaking prayer is also
available.
