This BELMONT ZONE OF CHOICE – PORTFOLIO OF SMALL SCHOOL OPTIONS brochure outlines 17 different Pilot Schools and Small Learning Communities for incoming 9th grade students and their families to review. Please take the time to meet with students and teachers from these schools when they visit your child’s middle school during the Community Informational Fairs. The Local District also provides weekend high school tours so that you and your children have the opportunity to visit the high school campuses. We encourage you to study the educational programs offered by each small school, and together with your child, prioritize your preferences. Once your child registers on-line at his/her middle school, you will need to sign the Parent Verification Form brought home by your child. This form must be signed by the parent in order to complete the registration process. LAUSD Local District 4 and the Belmont Educational Collaborative enthusiastically welcome you and your child to our network of small schools in the Pico Union Community!
