7TH ANNUAL MISA DE GALLO
The Santo Niño Society continues
its “Misa de Gallo” (Rooster Mass)
at St. John Neumann at 6:00 a.m.
through Wednesday, December 24, with a potluck
following in the Church hall. The Misa de Gallo Novena is
hosted by the Filipino Community.
ARMS OF LOVE FOSTER CARE is a Christian-based Foster Care Agency in Yuma. This December, we are joining them
in a Special Project. Every time a child is removed from their
home, they are devastated, afraid, and completely unsure of
what is going to happen next. Many times they are taken from
their homes in a hurry, not allowing much time for them to gather
their clothes, toys, and other things that are special to them.
Arms of Love Foster Care puts together a Hope back-pack for
every child that comes into their agency. Our church is helping
them collect back-packs, clothes, toys, and other items that will
bring these kids a glimmer of hope in a very difficult
time in their lives. If you would like to help, there is a
barrel in the foyer that has a list of the items that are
needed. Just bring them in and put them in the barrel
throughout this month. Arms of Love thanks you so
much for making a difference in the life of a hurting

BRAZOS DE AMOR DE CUIDADO TEMPORAL es una agencia Cristiana de
cuidados temporales en Yuma. Durante el mes de diciembre, deseamos unirnos
en este Proyecto especial. Cada vez que un niño es retirado de su hogar, se siente
devastados, y con miedo porque no saben lo que les va a pasar. Muchas veces son
removidos de sus hogares, y ni tienen tiempo de recoger su ropa, juguetes y otras
cosas que son especiales para ellos. Brazos de amor de Cuidado les prepara una
mochila de esperanza a cada niño que entra en su agencia. Nuestra iglesia desea
ayudarles colectando mochilas, ropa, juguetes y otros artículos que traerán a estos
niños una chispa de luz y esperanza mientras atraviesan esta difícil etapa de sus
vidas. Los que deseen ayudar, pueden colocar sus donaciones en el barril que se
encuentra en la entrada del vestíbulo de la iglesia ahí encontrara la lista de los
artículos que se necesitan. Deposite los artículos en el barril durante este mes.
Brazos de amor les quiere dar las gracias a todos por hacer una diferencia en la
vida de un niño que esta sufriendo. ¡Que Dios te bendiga!

EMANUEL
Nombrar a alguien o algo supone que tenemos una
relación con esa persona o cosa. Los nombres de
familia toman arraigo y están a nuestro alrededor; los
apodos cannotan familiaridad y compañerismo. En el
Antiguo Testamento, el significado de los nombres
posee connotaciones profundas. El nombre servía
para singularizar la misión y la identidad de la persona.
El maravilloso nombre, Emanuel, fue primeramente
pronunciado por Isaías al describir, al asustado rey
Ajaz, aquél que vendría a redimir a la humanidad. El
nombre, Emanuel, no es uno de los filosóficos y
atemorizantes como lo son Omnipotente, Omnisciente
o Todopoderoso. El nombre no connota distancia o
superioridad. No genera temor reverencial. El nombre,
Emanuel, connota cercanía, intimidad y compasión. El
nombre del que ha de venir es Emanuel, que significa
"Dios está con nosotros". Dios es confiado a la
custodia de una virgen, que parirá este niño. Sólo Dios
es tan compasivo para acercarse tanto, ser tan
asequible y vulnerable. Sólo Dios puede amar de este

DIAMOND CELEBRATION
As you know, each calendar year from now through 2016 will emphasize a different aspect of our Parish. Last
year was dedicated to the Mission of Our Lady of Guadalupe; the various groups that were a part of the fabric
of Our Lady of Guadalupe were emphasized. This year was dedicated to the Franciscan Sisters. The year
started on January 12 with a Mass and reception. The history of the Sisters and other events were during the
year at I.C. The year closed with a Solemn Mass presided over by the Most Reverend Gerald Kicanas on
December 7.The total amount of pledges to date is $264,125.10. We encourage our parishioners to support
this campaign in order to raise the necessary funds to continue this program through 2016. If you haven't
made a pledge, please consider a sacrificial gift of at least $600 per family over a three-year term. There will
be envelopes available at each of the church exits. You can bring your commitment letter to the Parish office.
CELEBRACION DIAMANTE
Como usted sabe, cada año se celebra un aspecto diferente de la Parroquia el cual culminará con una celebración en el año 2016. La
cantidad total en promesas hasta el día hoy es $264,125.10. El año 2013 fue dedicado a la Misión de Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe. El año
2014 está dedicado a las Hermanas Franciscanas. Les pedimos a nuestros feligreses su apoyo a esta Campaña con el fin de recaudar los
fondos necesarios para este festejo. Si usted aún no ha hecho una promesa, por favor considere hacer una donación de $600 dólares por
familia por un período de tres años. Puede obtener un sobre de compromiso a la salida de la Iglesia. Por favor entregue su compromiso en
la oficina Parroquial.
A quick update on our Church renovations.
The last of the stained glass windows were installed on
November 24. Painting the ceiling has been completed, only the entry way and part of the choir loft still remain. A large donation of $5,000
allowed us to accomplish this work, but we still need your help to finish the painting. Most of the pews in the main church have been
refinished, as well as is possible; the kneelers have been recovered; and new bottom rubber silencers have been provided where
necessary. There are still 20 pews in the main church, 15 in the chapel, and 6 in the choir loft to be refinished. The balance on this part of
the renovation still needs funds for completion. Please consider purchasing a pew for $1,000.00 or donating whatever your family can afford
to finish this portion of the renovation as soon as possible.
The 2015 improvements include the handicap ramp into the chapel on the north side. We do have the plans, but need funds to
complete this project.
In addition; Mission Plumbing has volunteered to get the sewer lines dug and the plumbing for the new restrooms completed this
spring. This is a major hurdle we need to tackle before starting this project. We hope to have new, larger restrooms by next summer.
Andy finally, designs have been completed for new stained glass windows on the bottom 24 windows of the main church. The
center windows will cost $2,000.00 and each side will cost $1,650.00. These windows will match the design of the new upper stained glass.
Please see me after Mass in the entry way for coffee, juice, and donuts, and to review the new window designs. All our seasonal and yearround parishioners are invited. Parish registration sheets, as well as purchase donation forms, will be available. You may call me with any

Este es un breve reporte de nuestras renovaciones. El 24 de noviembre se instalaron el resto de las
vidrieras en la parte sur de la Iglesia. La pintura del techo ha sido completada, pero aun falta pintar la entrada de la Iglesia y la parte de
arriba donde canta el coro. Se hizo una gran donación de 5.000 dólares que nos permitirá terminar este trabajo, pero necesitamos su ayuda
para terminar con la pintura. Las bancas de la iglesia han sido re acabadas. Los reclinatorios han sido re tapizados y se colocaron
silenciadores nuevos en muchos de los reclinatorios. Aun quedan 20 bancas en la iglesia, quince en la capilla y seis en el coro. Aun falta
pagar parte de esta renovación. Por favor considere hacer una donación de $1000 por banca o lo que usted y su familia pueden donar para
terminar con esta parte de la renovación lo más pronto posible.
El proyecto para el año 2015: construir una rampa en el parte norte de la capilla con acceso para personas minusválidas o sillas
de ruedas. Tenemos los planos de arquitectura, pero considere donar a este proyecto que es tan necesario.
Con respecto a los baños; la compañía de plomería “Misión”, donara la excavación para las alcantarillas y la plomería.
Necesitábamos superar este obstáculo para poder continuar con este proyecto. El próximo verano tendremos baños más amplios, con
acceso a minusválidos y personas en sillas de rueda.
Los diseños para los 24 vitrales de la parte inferior ya están terminados. El costo para los vitrales centrales es $2000, y los
laterales $1650. Para mantener una unidad con los diseños de los vitrales de la parte superior, los vitrales estarán hechos por la misma
compañía. Los interesados pueden verme después de misa. Habrá donas, jugos y café para nuestros feligreses permanentes y temporales.
Las personas que estén interesadas en donar, encontraran una forma para que dejen su nombre. También pueden comunicarse con Kathy
Ahuactzin al 580-7948 con sus inquietudes o sugerencias o para mantenerlos informados en el progreso de estos proyectos. La Parroquia
de la Inmaculada Concepción desea agradecer enormemente a todos los feligreses por su generosidad y colaboración en la renovación de
