and engineering services for major projects
internationally. Projects include hotels, residential
buildings, high-rise buildings, retail, mixed-use
developments, convention centers, entertainment
facilities, special structures, schools and health
care facilities.
With 37 years of experience the firm has grown
steadily both in magnitude of projects designed and
the ability to develop and maintain an outstanding
staff. The production of structural design services
currently reaches an average of 1,500,000 m2 per

Debido a que el edificio está
situado en una zona sísmica,
se puso especial atención en la
selección del sistema estructural.
La megaestructura conformada
por elementos estructurales
de grandes dimensiones, fue
desarrollada bajo el concepto de
máxima eficiencia estructural.
The Telefónica building located in
Santiago, Chile, is the corporate
headquarters of the Telefónica
Chile.
The tower is 140 meters high from
street level and has 33 stories
and 4 underground parking levels
with a total area of 68,000 m2.
The construction started in 1993
and finished in 1996 with a total
cost of MM USD 70.
At the time of completion it was
the tallest building in Chile.
Because the building is located
in a high seismic zone, special
attention was taken in the selection
of the structural system.The
Megastructure System consisting
of few structural elements of large
dimensions organized under a
concept of maximum structural
efficiency was adopted.

Costanera Center es un gran
desarrollo inmobiliario de uso
mixto que consta 700.000 m2
contruidos, cuatro torres y un
centro comercial ubicado en el
nuevo distrito de negocios de
Santiago de Chile. El proyecto
cuenta con; hotel, mall, oficinas
y estacionamientos. El costo de
construcción es de USD 1000 M
La g ran Torre Costanera de 300
metros de altura, es el edificio
más alto del hemisferio sur. Esta
torre fue diseñada en hormigón
armado y sometida a una serie
de estudios para garantizar
un correcto desempeño ante
solicitaciones de uso, sismo y
viento. Entre estos estudios se
cuentan: túnel de viento, estudio
de riesgo sísmico, ensayos de
placa de cargas, ensayos de
creep en probetas de hormigón,
análisis push over. La torre tiene
70 pisos destinados a oficinas
y en su coronamiento, una
estructura metálica de 40 metros
de altura, al interior de la cual se
ubicará un mirador panorámico.
