Dear Algonquin Lakes Elementary Family, As I reflect upon our year
Dear Algonquin Lakes Elementary Family, As I reflect upon our year together, I honestly cannot believe where the time has gone. It feels like just yesterday we were welcoming students and families back into this new school year. I am so very proud of our students and the progress they have made! We did this together and the genuine collaboration between staff and then staff and families enable this rich school culture that supports our kids to do well in their lives. I am grateful and thoroughly impressed with the caring and supportive environment each teacher works at maintaining in order to ensure your students learn. I am eager to continue this positive school culture and ensure the best education possible for our students. Looking forward to the great things to come in 2015 and thank you all for the wonderful year! Note from the Nurse’s Office Any and all medications need to be picked up from the nurse’s office on the last day of school or they will be discarded – thank you. Summer Literacy! Please see attached for our summer reading challenge! Thank you to Dr. Brandstedt as we are looking at an exciting calendar of literacy activities. In addition to the Algonquin Lakes activities, there are a number of endeavors throughout our area. Enjoy! Meal Charges From the Aramark cafeteria staff, please be aware that as of May 15th, students will no longer be able to charge (incur a negative balance) on their lunch account. Students must have the full amount available ($2.65 for full pay and $.40 for reduced, to purchase a lunch). Students who do not have the funds available will be given a bowl of Cheerios. This policy will continue through the end of the school year. Please make every effort to sure your child has money on their account so that they may have the benefit of a full lunch. Sincerely, Chris Columbaro Dundee Crown H.S.
