Pope Benedict has called for a „YEAR OF FAITH‟ to officially open just two days before our Santa Barbara Regional Congress. This Year of Faith honors the 50th anniversary of the opening of the Second Vatican Council on October 11, 1962 as well as the 20th anniversary of the Catechism of the Catholic Church. The United States Bishops are suggesting that this year be…An opportunity for Catholics to experience a conversion – to turn back to Jesus and enter into a deeper relationship with him. The “door of faith” is opened at one‟s baptism, but during this year Catholics are called to open it again, walk through it and rediscover and renew their relationship with Christ and his Church‟. Within the pages of this Registration Booklet you will find a variety of amazing speakers and workshops to help you begin this year-long celebration. Some of our workshops will help you better understand what the Year of Faith is all about and some of the workshops will help begin the process of renewing your baptismal call by living out the everyday moments of your lives… Faith…Sought, Renewed, Lived and Shared!
