NOTICE OF UPCOMING PRECONSTRUCTION ACTIVITY
Purple Line Transit Partners (PLTP) is performing a series of preconstruction, subsurface
geotechnical borings on behalf of the Maryland Transit Administration (MTA) in preparation for the design
and construction of the Purple Line Project.

Explanation of Work
PLTP is conducting geological studies, exploring soil,
rock, and groundwater conditions along the
proposed corridor. To better understand
underground conditions, borings will be drilled.
Upon completion, boring locations will be filled and
all excess soil will be removed from the site.
Pavement or sidewalk borings will be patched with
like materials.
Upcoming Activities
Beginning on or about August 16, 2016, PLTP will manage an ongoing series of borings to support the
design of the Purple Line for a duration of approximately two to three months on the Capital Crescent Trail,
between Wisconsin Avenue and Connecticut Avenue.
• All work is expected to take place Monday through Friday between the hours of 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.
in the public right-of-way.
• Traffic control signs will be placed prior to work commencing on any given day.
• Please note that trail access will be maintained at all times.

Purple Line Transit Partners (PLTP) está realizando una serie de perforaciones geotécnicas de preconstrucción en nombre de la Administración de Tránsito de Maryland (MTA, por sus siglas en inglés), en
preparación para el diseño y construcción del proyecto Purple Line.
Explicación de las obras
BETHESDA
PLTP está llevando a cabo estudios geológicos, de
exploración del suelo, rocas y condiciones del agua
subterránea a lo largo del corredor propuesto. Para
entender mejor las condiciones subterráneas, es
necesario perforar el suelo. Una vez estas obras se
concluyan, las perforaciones serán rellenadas y el
exceso de tierra será removido del lugar. Las
perforaciones en el pavimento o aceras serán
rellenadas con materiales similares.
Próximas actividades
Comenzando en o alrededor del 16 de Agosto 2016, PLTP se encargará de realizar una serie de
perforaciones para apoyar el diseño de Purple Line por una duración de aproximadamente dos a tres
meses en el sendero Capital Crescent Trail, entre Wisconsin Avenue y Connecticut Avenue.
• Se espera que todo el trabajo se lleve a cabo de lunes a viernes entre las 9 a.m y las 3 p.m en
el derecho de paso público.
• Se colocarán señales de control de tráfico antes de comenzar el trabajo en cualquier día
dado.
• Tenga en cuenta que el acceso al sendero será mantenido en todo momento.
