Year of Mercy
Pope Francis has declared a Year of
Mercy beginning on December 8, 2015 and
continuing until November, 2016. Let us
practice the Spiritual Works of Mercy
during this Jubilee Year. Remember your
compassion and your mercy, O Lord, for
they are ages old. Remember no more the
sins of my youth. Psalm 25:6
-Have I forgiven myself for “the sins of my youth”?
-Have I done something wrong in the past that still
haunts me?
-Is God calling me to show myself mercy?
Are You Interested in the Catholic Faith?
Saint Charles and Sacred Heart will soon begin a new
journey in faith to share the richness of the Catholic
Church and our parish family. We invite you to learn
what the Church teaches and to be introduced to some
of our parish members.
These sessions also are opportunities for you and others
that you may wish to invite to ask those perplexing and
difficult questions you may have about the Church.
These gatherings are for inquirers and are open to
people who are unbaptized, as well as those who are
baptized Christians from Protestant or Evangelical
backgrounds.
Our gatherings begin September 12, 2016. We will
meet in the Mother Seton Room at Sacred Heart at
7:00 PM. Please call Ximena DeBroeck at 410-8331696 (x318) if you have questions, or would like further
information.

Vacation Bible School Thank You
We give a big thank you to all of our fantastic volunteers
and enthusiastic campers who helped us to have a
marvelous time at this year’s Christmas in June VBS
while learning that Jesus is our best gift! Many thanks
also for your very generous donations of food and baby
items that were given to the St. Vincent de Paul Society,
Community Crisis Center, and pregnancy center to
assist families in need. You truly helped to show your
children a great example of how to share God’s love
with others. And thank you for the many donations of
materials and snacks that enabled us to be ready for

These sessions also are opportunities for you and others that you may wish
to invite to ask those perplexing and difficult questions you may have
about the Church.
These gatherings are for inquirers and are open to people who are
unbaptized, as well as those who are baptized Christians from Protestant
or Evangelical backgrounds.
Our gatherings begin September 12, 2016. We will meet in the Mother
Seton Room at Sacred Heart at 7:00 PM. Please call Ximena DeBroeck
at 410-833-1696 (x318) if you have questions, or would like further
information.
