It is with great regret we inform you of the passing of long time
Foundation Member and friend Judy Fuller of Carver Mountain
Farms in Laveen, AZ. Judy experienced a non-survivable stroke on
Friday, March 23rd and passed on Sunday March 25th. Donations

Waterway Farms, Katie Hill, Holland: Greetings from the Netherlands! The members of our family relocated to Holland in
February 2012. It has been quite an effort to not only get the family moved but to find
temporary homes for our horses back in the US. We are uncertain as to how long our
stay in the Netherlands will be; we expect at least a year with the possibility for a
permanent move. It is quite a change moving from a gorgeous 50-acre horse farm in
northwest Oregon to a small village on the outskirts of Amsterdam, but we are enjoying
the adventure! We were very fortunate to place our stallion, Kamiakin, in training with
Susan Treabess in December (with help from - and tremendous thanks to - Terry
Waechter of Watchman PRE). Kamiakin will debut at 3rd level later this year and will be
available for stud service to a few, select mares this spring. Please contact me for

Our website is in the process of being updated, so please check back often to view our
list of sale horses. We expect to announce more horses for sale later this summer as the

Cedar Creek Farm, Linda deWilde-Petersen, Enumclaw, WA: I had the pleasurable experience of working for CAVALIA while
they were in the Seattle area. My job as Equestrian Promoter entailed "getting the word out" to all the horsey folks in our area. I
brought flyers and posters to many boarding facilities, veterinary hospitals, tack shops, feed
stores - anywhere horsey people might be. I also set up a booth at several horse shows, award
ceremonies and expos with information and give-away items. It was a very busy time for me, but
one of the great perks of the job was that I got to see many of the performances! There are
currently 18 P.R.E.s traveling with the show and they really got the "Oohs and Awws" from the
audiences. The horses are very well cared for (I was back in the stable area often) and were
great ambassadors for our breed!

like to add! First rated show is in June. We are competing Training and First Level. Esco is doing great, and schooling nearly
Second Level. He is patiently waiting for me. It has been a long haul and long recovery, thank you much for all of your support!

Watchman P.R.E. Horses, Terry Waechter, Modesto, CA: March brought us 3 new little P.R.E.s......all colts. Doctora AK gave
us Merengue WAE by Fugitivo XII .... one of the largest foals we have ever had. He looks
like he is two weeks old at 1 day (Pictured). Europa MHF also foaled a large dark colt by
Fugitivo XII and is owned by Jorge Ramos. I hear Jorge is thrilled and we will be making a
visit soon. Fabulilla MR foaled a lovely Farruco LXXXIII colt via recipient mare, Lucy. This
gray little man has all the beauty and grace expected of a Bocado. We have had 9 colts and
3 fillies since January 2011 and are ready for a filly year in 2013.
Watchman P.R.E. Horses, Terry Waechter, Modesto, California: De marzo nos ha traído
tres nuevos pequeños caballos P.R.E. ... todos potros. Doctora AK nos dio Merengue WAE
por Fugitivo XII ... uno de los potros más grandes que hemos tenido. Parece que es de dos
semanas de edad en un día (en la foto). Europa MHF también parió un potro muy oscuro
de Fugitivo XII y es propiedad de Jorge Ramos. Oigo Jorge está muy emocionado y vamos
a hacer una visita pronto. Fabulilla MR parió un hermoso potro a través de Farruco LXXXIII
por la yegua receptora Lucy. Este señorito gris tiene toda la belleza y la gracia se espera de
un caballo de la línea Bocado. Hemos tenido nueve potros y tres potrancas desde enero de
2011 ... y estamos listos para un año potranca en el 2013!
Beth Carver, Orlando FL. Artist: I look forward to seeing all of you at Fiesta Florida at the Jacksonville Equestrian Center in
mid April! My earliest memory of drawing as a child was the images of horses. Creating great images of equines stylized by
movement and feeling of horse play. When I create these images it feels like I'm breathing life
into these paintings. The joy of the contemporary color flow creating and abstract free flowing
ground and juxtaposing my equines wild and free, expressing their emotions.

Jackass Mountain. Ranch, Ami MacHugh, Pasco WA: We had two very good riding clinics in October, the first with Miguel
Duarte Ralao and a few days later with Rodrigo Matos. Both these gentlemen live in
Portugal and are excellent teachers. Rodrigo was back in early March of this year and
Miguel will be here in May. It is very beneficial to straighten our riding path ever so often!!
Revision is coming in two short weeks so three year olds must shape up and become
presentable! (Does this go for owners too???) Looking forward to this event as I get my
'fix' of Spanish influence and good will with these dignitaries. It really is a fun time!
Breeding plans are being made, hope to use our new colt by Fuego de Cárdenas with
one or two mares. New imported mare to think about, have had a few sales this spring
and hoping for more, of course. So come, bring your purse or wallet and look at our hairy
steeds! Wish all a good foaling and riding season.
Jackass Mountain Ranch, Ami MacHugh, Pasco, Washington: Teníamos dos clínicas de equitación muy buenas en octubre,
el primero con Miguel Duate Ralao y después de unos días con Rodrigo Matos. Ambos
estos señores viven en Portugal y son excelentes profesores. Rodrigo estaba de nuevo
en marcha a principios de este año y Miguel estará aquí en mayo. Es muy beneficioso
para enderezar nuestro camino de rodadura de vez en cuando! Valoración viene en dos
cortas semanas, por lo que los de tres años debe mejorarse y volverse presentable! (Va
esto para los propietarios también?) Mirando hacia el futuro a este evento como puedo
hacer que mi "solución" y la influencia española y la buena voluntad con los dignatarios.
Lo que realmente es un momento de diversion! Los planes de mejoramiento se están
realizando, esperan usar nuestro potro hijo de Fuego de Cárdenas con una o dos
yeguas. Tengo que pensar de una nueva yegua importada, he tenido algunas ventas
esta primavera y la esperanza de más, por supuesto. Así que venga, traiga a su bolsa o

are announcing the opening of our second facility to house our breeding stallions. All training horses and sale horses remain at
our Nuevo, California, address, the breeding stallions will be moved to the new facility in Yucaipa, which is about 20 minutes

as the exceptional daily care that we offer to our horses in training. The training, conditioning, showing and exhibitions of the

Emerald Ridge Andalusians, Toni Mueller, Maple Valley, WA: We are excited to share our successes in 2011 ... another
fantastic year! Our stallion, Bandolero CLXXVI, performed well in the dressage arena with our trainer, Paige Ruhl, and won the
USDF P.R.E. Foundation All-Breed Award for 4th Level! We are very excited that he will be moving up to FEI Prix St. Georges
this coming season! I am also still riding him as an amateur in competition as well, but I am struggling to successfully compete at
3rd level ... this stuff is HARD! We know it's all me now, since my horse has definitely passed me up! We also performed our
3rd Level Pas de Deux at the PAALH Canadian National Andalusian show in July with Linda deWilde-Petersen and her P.R.E.
mare. We had a marvelous time - it was great fun, but also quite nerve
wracking to perform in front of 1,500 people! We wore our Spanish dresses this
time, and the audience gasped as they watched Bandolero perform his
extended trot! We also welcomed another beautiful filly to our herd last year,
sired by our stallion and out of our mare Helageva, who is granddaughter of
Evento. She is super sweet and has a gentle temperament just like her daddy!
