Equity Alert
Any English Language Learner (ELL) or parent may request in writing to the
Principal or Director an investigation of any procedure or practice if there is a
question of discrimination. The Principal or Director shall discuss the complaint
with the complainant and seek to reach resolution in an informal manner. If the
informal discussion does not resolve the complaint, the student may make a
similar written request to the Director of Diversity & ESOL. The director will
discuss the complaint and seek to reach resolution in an informal manner. If the
informal discussion does not resolve the complaint it will be referred to the
Equity Officer who will conduct an investigation into the matter by an
administrative fact-finding team. The team findings will be reported to the
Superintendent. The Superintendent shall make the final decision.
The English/Spanish and English/Creole translations of this grievance procedure
will be posted in the personnel offices, and registration areas of the school.

Comité de Derechos de Igualdad
Cualquier padre de un estudiante que esté en el Programa de Enseñanza de Inglés
como Segundo Idioma, ó el mismo estudiante, puede solicitar del Principal de la
escuela una investigación de los procedimientos ó prácticas si hubiese alguna
duda ó pregunta sobre discriminación. El Principal ó Director deberá discutir
dicha solicitud con el demandante y buscar una resolución de manera informal. Si
la discusión informal no resuelve el motivo de la queja, el estudiante ó el padre
puede hacer una petición de investigación por escrito a la Directora del Programa
de Diversidad e ESOL. La Directora discutirá dicha querella y buscará una
resolución al respecto de una manera informal. Si la reunión informal no resuelve
el motivo de la querella, ésta será referida al “Oficial de Igualdad” del distrito, el
cual llevará a cabo una investigación; y las recomendaciones del equipo serán
reportadas al Superintendente de las escuelas. Los hallazgos del grupo serán
reportados al Superintendente. El Superintendente tomará la decisión final.
Las traducciones en Inglés/Español é Inglés/Creole de este documento, serán
puestas en las oficinas del personal docente, en el área de inscripción y en las
oficinas del edificio principal.
