How to setup Encompass Import
Step 1: Enable the Encompass Interface in MQ
1.

4.
Start MQ
Select Tools\Options and click Importing
Click Enable Interfaces button.
Click Encompass360 and click Continue and then Close
Step 2: Set Up Encompass Import
1. Select File\Import.
2. Select Encompass (Networked) in the Read Data From list.
3. Click Setup Wizard and follow the prompts until you reach the Encompass Server Login
screen.
4. Click the Web Service (IIS) with Encryption button.
5. Go to your local computer and start Encompass.
6. Look at the top of the Encompass screen and write down the Encompass website
address, starting at HTTS://. For example, https://BE585939.ea.elliemae.net$BE585939
or https://encompass.fairmount.com. Don’t add anything after the address, like –
username info, etc.
7. Click Next
8. Enter your Encompass username and password and click Test Login.
9. If successful, click Next.
10. When you access Encompass, can you see other loan officer’s loans?
If the answer is Yes, then click Map IDs. Otherwise, click Finish.
11. The Map ID’s is needed so you can map the MQ user with the Encompass loans being
imported for that user. Click Map IDs.
12. Then pick My Pipeline and click Select.
13. MQ will read the loans in My Pipeline and present a list of Encompass users.
14. Click on the MQ user in the left list.
15. Click on the Encompass ID for loans belonging to that user in the right list.
16. Click Map.
17. Close when finished.
18. If you mapped user IDs, select Mortgage Quest user to ALL LOAN OFFICERS.
19. If you didn’t map IDs, select your name in the list.
20. Click Read Borrowers. MQ will log into Encompass and display a list of folders to
choose from.
21. Click folders you want to import and click Continue. Tip: Once you import old loan
folders, like 2014 Closed Loans, uncheck these boxes the next time you import to save
time.
22. When selecting folders to import, don’t check the Prospect checkbox unless all loans in
that folder are prospects and not active loans. MQ ignores the Open date field for
prospects because the Open date triggers loan status emails.
23. When MQ finished reading the Encompass data, a list of borrowers displays.
24. This screen will indicate either Update or Add. Uncheck the box if you don’t want to
import that loan.
25. The Rep ID field will show loan’s owner. If the Rep ID is not mapped to a MQ user, it
will be ignored. But it will show in the list.
26. Also, if you import a loan that was previously deleted out of MQ, you’ll see “(Import
Again?)” next to the person’s name. These loans are ignored unless you check the box
next to the name to add that loan again.
27. Click Import to continue the process.
