General rules for the use of the manual
The need to maintain a powerful and compatible image for the MED-PCS
brand has led us to compile this Corporate Identity Manual, the purpose of
which is to define, establish and regulate the key elements to ensure the
greater recognition and acceptance of the communication activities of the
same. The MED-PCS brand is consolidated visually by means of a uniform
and continuous presence in the different communication media.

Logo is what we call the most iconic or recognisable part of the spatial
arrangement of a design or brand.
It is the essential element of the design of a corporate identity project,
for use on stationery, labelling and merchandising.

Logotype is what we call the formation of words without the corresponding symbol.

Presentation of the combination mark
Combination mark is what we call the combination of a graphic symbol
and a text message represented by typographic signage, which together
forms the graphic identification for an enterprise´s communications.

Colour:
Colour is the key factor for the intensified perception of the graphic
form of identity and helps create a corporate personality. For this
reason the choice of colour and the use of the same are two
essential phases in the identity programme and the subsequent
implementation of the same. The colours selected to provide the
representative elements with vividness are:

The use of grayscale:
We often encounter the need to display the brand name without the
use of colour, for example press advertisements in the black and white
mode.
These instructions illustrate the grayscale range to ensure the correct
use of the brand name.

We use spot colours for the logo on occasions when we only
have one colour, with no shaded areas, for example for screen
printing, rubber stamps, vinyl cuttings....

Dimensional structure:
This page illustrates the dimensional configuration of the main brand
name with the aim of ensuring it can be used in any size and always
consists of the corporate proportions. This "A" base measurement
defines the sizes and distances of the elements making up the main
brand name, as illustrated in the examples.

Protected area:
A protected area needs to be established to guarantee the
visual independence of the brand name when the same is
displayed between texts, photographs or illustrations.

The maximum reduction accepted is 25 mm.
Logo, reticulated version
Reticulated:
The purpose of having a reticulated version of the identifying
logo is to be able to view the proportions and angles of each
of the components of the same in detail. Designed for
professional use, this version guarantees the exact
reproduction of the descriptor applicable to each and every
one of the company´s means of communication. However,
the amplification of the same using digital means is
recommended whenever possible.

There will be cases in which the brand name is required to co-exist
with logos belonging to the MED programme and partners participating
in the project, reason for which we need to clearly define the criteria
for use in relation to size and position in the graphic composition.
