MESSAGE FROM THE EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE CHAIRMAN Dear Friends, Six years have gone by since Feb. 14, 2001, the date on which Lima Airport Partners S.R.L. (LAP) put into practice the concession system as a fundamental tool for investment and airport infrastructure development in Peru. We faced the challenge to turn the Jorge Chavez International Airport into one of the most modern airports in the region. And we have achieved it! Today, Peru has a new “Jorge Chavez” with a new domestic and international terminal; a new passenger boarding area; seven jet bridges; new and better areas for State institution presence at the airport; new baggage handling, inspection and pickup systems; a new commercial area for the public, and a new commercial area for passengers (duty-free zone), among other improvements.
