Dear Sherwood Families,
Our annual Winter Carnival will be here soon and we have a lot of exciting things planned! Below you will find a Carnival
overview with information about admission, games and special activities. A full packet with more detailed information is
available on the PTO website or in the Sherwood School office. We hope to see all of you at the Carnival!
Admission: Save money by pre-ordering your tickets on the PTO website or via the registration form. Pre-order tickets
until Wednesday, February 3rd. Pre-orders Admission - $12/child (includes 1 slice of pizza and 1 door prize raffle ticket,
plus use of the Express Line at check-in.) Day of Admission: $14/child (admission only). Save time and money by preordering online on the Sherwood PTO website or by using the form! Angel Fund Available! Contact Jenna Smiley with

Games and Activities Sponsorships: Games and activities at the Carnival are available for sponsorship. We would
welcome family, groups of neighbors, or local business sponsors. Sponsorships help us defray the operational cost of the
carnival and allow us to return more of the money raised back to Sherwood. Please consider donating to this great event!

Classroom Baskets: A fun and creative part of the carnival! Each classroom puts together a themed basket that gets
raffled off at the carnival. Tickets are $5 each and can be purchased when pre-ordering or at the Carnival. Don’t forget to
stop by and check out all the different baskets on display! Contact Rachel Lieberman if you have questions.

Teacher Raffle: Our teachers donate some great raffle prizes, lunches, games, pies in the face and more. New this
year, pre-order your tickets ($1/each) online or by using the form. Need more tickets? Tickets are also available for
purchase at the carnival! Your kids love the special time/experiences with their teachers and this is a great way to help

Spin Art: Have fun making a colorful swirled art project! New to the carnival this year, we will be having 2 spin art
machines available for your kids to create their own creative picture! Tickets are $2 each and include their art and a take
home frame. Purchase tickets as part of your pre-order or buy them day of at the carnival. Contact Jenna Smiley with

Cake Walk: Join in the musical fun of the cake walk. Pre-purchase cake walk tickets ($1 each) or buy them at the carnival
& help fill the game with great cake prizes (feel free to bake at home or purchase) as each winner takes a cake! Cake

Bake Sale: The Bake Sale is one of the most popular parts of the Winter Carnival. We’d love for everyone to contribute
your family’s favorite baked goodies. Fill out the enclosed form or complete the details online and let us know what you’d
like to provide. All items will be sold for $1. Please package accordingly! Contact Sylvia Gosk with any questions

Volunteers: We simply could not have our annual Winter Carnival without our wonderful volunteers! We encourage
anybody who has a little time to spare to pitch in and help us to set up, clean up, or run a game. Just an hour of your time

Queridos Estudiantes y Familias,
Nuestro Carnaval de invierno anual llegará pronto y tenemos muchas actividades divertidas planeadas! Estamos felices de
planear este divertido día que ayudará con la recaudación de fondos del PTO de Sherwood. Abajo encontrará una guía con
información acerca de la admisión, juegos y actividades especiales. Un paquete complete, con la información detallada está
disponible en el sitio wev del PTO o en la oficina de la escuela. Esperamos verlos a todos en el Carnaval!
•Admisión: Ahorre dinero adquiriendo sus entradas de antemano a través del sitio web del PTO o por medio de un
formulario de registro. Los boletos estarán disponibles para compra por adelantado hasta el Miércoles, 3 de Febrero.
Boletos Pre-Pago: Entrada $12/niño incluye una porción de pizza y un boleto en la puerta para la rifa de premios, más el
uso de la Línea Rápida de Admisión. Admisión el Mismo Día: $14/niño (solamente la entrada).¡Ahorre tiempo y dinero

Patrocinios de Juegos y Actividades: Los juegos y actividades en el Carnaval están disponibles para ser patrocinados.
Familias, grupos de vecinos o empresas pueden patrocinar un juego o una actividad. En el formulario adjunto, está la lista
de los juegos y actividades y las cuotas de patrocinio. Tengan en cuenta que los boletos de los años pasados no serán

Canastas del Salón: Esta es una parte muy importante de nuestro Carnaval. Cada clase prepara una canasta con
diferentes temas que se sortearán en el carnaval. Los boletos de la rifa cuestan $5 cada uno y se pueden comprar en la
pre-venta o el día del Carnaval. Las canastas son coordinadas por los maestros de sus hijos y las madres del salón. La
ayuda de todos es necesaria para completar todas las canastas. Contacte a Rachel Lieberman con cualquier pregunta

Rifas de los Maestros: El día del carnaval (únicamente) no se olvide de escribir el nombre de su hijo en las fabulosas
rifas de los maestros. ¡A sus hijos les encantan esas experiencias y momentos especiales con los maestros de Sherwood
y ésta es una gran manera de recaudar más fondos para el PTO. Los boletos cuestan $1 cada uno y se pueden comprar

Arte que Gira: ¡Diviertase creando un colorido remolino de arte! Nuevo al carnaval este año, tendremos disponibles 2
máquinas giratorias para que sus hijos puedan crear su propia obra de arte! El valor de los tiquetes es de $2 cada uno e
incluyen la obra de arte más un marco que se podrán lleva a casa. Compre sus tiquetes como parte de su orden

Venta de Postres: La venta de postres es una de las actividades más populares del Carnaval de Invierno. Nos

Pasteles Musicales (Cake Walk): Únete a la diversión musical de la caminata de pasteles . Entradas Pre-pago ($1 por
boleto). Ayúdenos trayendo su pastel favorito (hornéelo en casa o cómprelo), cada niño/a que traiga un pastel para el

Voluntarios: ¡Simplemente no podríamos llevar a cabo nuestro carnaval de invierno annual sin nuestros maravillosos
voluntarios! Si tiene algo de tiempo, anímese a ayudarnos con la preparación y montaje, a limpiar, o a coordinar un juego.
¡Una hora de su tiempo (o más si puede) ayudará mucho a hacer del Carnaval una gran experiencia para nuestros hijos!
