PM Parking Lot Routine: Thanks for your patience and positive attitudes at pick up
time after school. The changes have made it a lot safer for students. Suggestion:
Consider picking up at 3:45pm instead of 3:35pm or park somewhere nearby in the
neighborhood, instructing your student to walk to you.

Freeze periods continue today through Friday
Support PTA: Join PTA for $15. Your contribution will go a long way to enhancing your
student’s middle school experience. We are striving for 100% participation by our
teachers and parents. If you haven’t joined already, send your money and a PTA slip
with your student to give to his/her 1st period teacher. Extra PTA slips are found in the
office or on our website.

Seeking Parents for School Site Council-We have 1-2 vacancies on the School Site
Council this year. There are only 4 meetings a year on Mondays at 3:45 pm. This is the
committee that oversees the school plan and budget. If interested, please email
[email protected] with your name, child’s name, email contact, and a 3-5 sentence
description of who you are. This will be placed on a ballot for parents to vote.
Dress Code Reminders: For the first two weeks of school, we have been teaching and
reminding students of the appropriate school attire, giving students time to make
adjustments to their wardrobe.
Please review/remind your student of these
expectations found here in the Student Handbook. Next week, we will be issuing
consequences for students not in compliance with the dress code.
Restaurant Night at B & C Burgers: On September 20th, all day, B & C Burgers will give
25% of all profits to Tuffree Middle School. Consider taking the family there before or
after Back to School Night.

having special presenters in social studies classes including a former public defender, a
federal magistrate judge, and a local lawyer who owns a law firm, presenting on the
topic of Miranda: More Than Mere Words.

Recordatorios de Código de Vestimenta: Las dos primeras semanas de clases, hemos

Día de la Constitución de los Estados Unidos: Estaremos reconociendo el “Día de la
Constitución de los Estados Unidos” el 16 de septiembre, al tener presentadores
