This is a map of the Community of Madrid. It is divided into towns. The big part in the middle of the map is Madrid city. Pozuelo de Alarcón is coloured red. It’s a town near Madrid. Pozuelo has got many parks. There are small parks near our houses and schools. Some of them are: Siroco, Ruperto Chavarri, Las Piedras, Ntra. Sra. de Montserrat, Plaza de Húmera, Lope de Vega, Don Juan de Borbón, Diamante,… The park Ruperto Chavarri is near our school. We always go there when we have fire drill. There are bigger parks like Parque de las Minas, Fuente de la Salud, Prados de Torrejón, Plaza de España, El Torreón, Cerro de los Perdigones and Isaac Albéniz. There are also big parks around Pozuelo. Their names are: Parque Forestal de Somosaguas, Arroyo de Meaques, Arroyo de Somosaguas, Parque Forestal de Valladares, Parque de las Cárcavas and Parque de la Ciudad de Imagen. The biggest park is Parque Forestal de Somosaguas. In this park we can see a lot of trees, bushes and grass. We can also see a lot of different animals. la There are some forests too. Their names are Monte del Pardo and Monte Gancedo. . A tree is a plant with a large, thick and hard stem. It’s the trunk. And it has got branches with leaves. Branches grow high above the ground. We can see different kind of trees in our parks and forests like elm trees, oak trees, poplar trees, ash trees, pine trees, chestnut trees and madrone trees. . and A bush hard is stems. a plant Their with branches short, thin grow near the ground. In our parks we can see poppies, speedwells and dandelions. There are some wild animals in Pozuelo’s forests. When we walk we can across Parque Forestal see birds like ducks, partridges, or Monte del herons, sparrows. We can also see squirrels, hares, foxes and rabbits.
