Ron has had quite a job description including parish facilities manager, business manager and all around trouble shooter. His service to the parish will be missed. However, he promised me that he is still a member of the parish and would be receptive to helping the parish out when we get into trouble. Obtaining coverage for Ron’s duties has been a personal challenge. We hired a former marine and parishioner, Joseph DelaFuente to be a part-time facilities manager. He will cover the responsibilities of managing our parish facilities on an as-needed-basis. As a marine, Joseph garnered a lot experience in facilities upkeep and management and so we are grateful for his service to our country and his future service to our parish. Next weekend we will have some lay witness talks given by parishioners on how they live stewardship as a way of life. An element of stewardship that I find attractive is gratitude. I believe that God has blessed me with many graces and as a result of those blessings I wish to give back to the Lord out of a sense of gratitude. In the gospel of Luke, Zachaeus, the tax collector, gave half of his belongings to the poor and if he had cheated anyone he reconciled with them. His encounter with Jesus led him to a change of heart. 31st Sunday in Ordinary Time / 31º Domingo del Tiempo Ordinario 3 parish news, events, and opportunities All Souls Novena Soctober Update During the month of November, we remember in our prayers those who have passed away during the past twelve months.
