This Sunday's readings call us to a New Copernican Revolution. The first Copernican Revolution takes its name from a Polish
clergyman named Nicolas Copernicus. He initiated a major paradigm shift when he proposed the heliocentric theory. Instead of viewing the earth as the center of the universe, Copernicus postulated that the earth revolves around the sun. That
was the first Copernican revolution….. The new Copernican revolution is this: Rather than seeing ourselves as the center,
with God as one more object revolving around us, we take a different view of things. We see God as the center and just as
the earth receives life from the sun, so we receive everything from God: our life, our energy, our very existence. God is not
one more object out there. No, he is the center and source of everything. This Sunday's readings call us to change our way
of thinking, to experience a new Copernican revolution….. Copernicus was a devout Christian. He studied theology and received minor orders. In the year 1500, when he was twenty-seven years old, he made a pilgrimage to Rome for the Holy
Year. As a cleric, he prayed the office, the Liturgy of Hours, every day. In the spring of 1543, when Copernicus was on his
death bed, his admirers brought him his astronomy books and asked him to point out the most significant passages. He
brushed the books aside and instead asked his friends to write this epitaph: O Lord, I cannot ask for the faith that you gave
to Paul; the mercy that you showed to Peter I dare not ask. But the grace that you showed to the dying robber, that, Lord,
show to me.

Czy są w życiu sprawy beznadziejne? Pamiętam sytuacje, które przeżywałem z bliskimi. Lekarska diagnoza: "Proszę pana,
sprawa beznadziejna...". Zgubiony portfel, i to nie wiadomo gdzie, w nim sporo pieniędzy... Rozlatujące się małżeostwo...
Katastrofa w kopalni... Wszystkie cztery przypadki, chod wydawały się beznadziejne, znalazły rozwiązanie. Diagnoza była
słuszna, ale organizm okazał się silniejszy... Portfel młodzi ludzie odnieśli do księdza... Pierwsza Komunia dziecka stała się
okazją pojednania... W kopalni sześciu z siedmiu zasypanych uratowano. Niestety, dla jednego pomoc przyszła za późno. Dlaczego? Nie ma prostej odpowiedzi na to pytanie. Może trzeba pytad inaczej: czy mimo wszystko jest nadzieja? Albo: czy
w sytuacjach beznadziejnych można mied nadzieję? Nie pytamy bynajmniej o nadzieję, zwaną "matką głupich" ani o tanią
pociechę. Pytamy o nadzieję chrześcijaoską….. Co znaczy "nadzieja chrześcijaoska"? Ewangelista opowiada dziś o
trędowatych. Ich sytuacja była beznadziejna. Wiedzieli o tym. Dlaczego więc proszą o coś, co jest niemożliwe? Zważ
wszelako, kogo proszą. Jezusa proszą, a On - pisze Apostoł - wiary dochowuje, bo nie może zaprzed się samego siebie.
Nadzieja chrześcijaoska ma początek w wierze, w przekonaniu, że na mocy i dobroci Boga zawsze można polegad. Dlatego na
wiarę wskazał Jezus, mówiąc: Wstao, idź, twoja wiara cię uzdrowiła. Owych dziesięciu prosiło jeszcze przed Jezusowym
zmartwychwstaniem. My wiemy więcej - to mianowicie, że nawet śmierd nie jest sytuacją beznadziejną, bo stała się
narzędziem zwycięstwa i nowego życia. Potrzeba wiary, potrzeba i ufności. Wiara podpowiada, że Bóg może wszystko i co
tylko jest dobre, może nam dad. Ufnośd - to przeświadczenie, że jeśli nie daje, lub jeśli nie daje natychmiast, to dlatego, że
przygotował dla nas coś większego, chod trudniejszego….. Dlatego nadzieja chrześcijanina jest nadzieją cierpliwą, jest
umiejętnością ufnego czekania.

Las lecturas biblicas nos llaman a una nueva revolucion copernicana. La primera revolucion copernicana tiene su nombre del
clerigo polaco Nicolás Copérnico. Inicio un cambio de paradigma cuando propuso su teoria heliocentrico. En vez de ver a la
tierra como el centro del universo, Copernico propuso que la tierra da vueltas alrededor del sol. Eso era la primera revolucion copernicana….. La nueva revolucion copernica es esta: En ver de ver a nosotros como el centro de todo, con Dios como
un objeto mas, tomamos una vista diferente. Vemos a Dios como el centro y igual que la tierra recibe vida del sol, asi nosotros recibimos todo de Dios: nuestra vida, nuestra energia, nuestra misma existencia. Dios no un objeto mas. No, el es el
centro y fuente de todo. Las lecturas biblicas nos llaman a cambiar nuestra manera de pensar, experimentar una nueva revolucion copernicana….. Copernico era un cristiano devoto. Estudio teologia y recibio ordenes menores. En el año 1500,
cuando tenia vientisiete años, hizo una peregrinacion a Roma para el Año Santo. Como clerigo, rezo el oficio diariamente. En
la primavera de 1543, cuando Copernico estaba cerca a su muerte, sus admiradores le trajeron sus libros de astronomia y le
pidieron indicar las partes mas importantes. El puso los libros a un lado y en cambio pidio a sus amigos escribir este epitafio:O Senor, no puedo pedir la fe que diste a Pablo;la misericordia que mostraste a Pedro no me atrevo pedirte.Pero la gracia que mostraste al ladro, esa, Senor, muestrame.

THE EUCHARIST
At the last Supper the Lord himself directed his disciples attention toward the fulfillment of the Passover in the kingdom of God.
The Church knows that the Lord comes even now in his Eucharist and that he is there in our midst. However, his presence is veiled.
Therefore we celebrate the Eucharist awaiting the blessed hope and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ, asking to share in your
glory when every tear will be wiped away. On that day we shall see you, our God, as you are. We shall become like you and praise
you forever through Christ our Lord.
There is no surer pledge or clearer sign of this great hope in the new heavens and new earth in which righteousness dwells, than the
Eucharist. Every time this mystery is celebrated, the work of our redemption is carried on and we break the one bread that provides
the medicines of immortality, the antidote for death, and the food that makes us live forever in Jesus Christ.

EUCHARYSTIA
Kościół wie, że już teraz Pan przychodzi w Eucharystii i przez nią jest obecny pośród nas. Jednak ta Jego obecność jest zakryta.
"Dlatego sprawujemy Eucharystię oczekując obiecanej nagrody i przyjścia Pana naszego Zbawiciela Jezusa Chrystusa i prosząc,
abyśmy mogli wiecznie radować się Twoją chwałą, gdy otrzesz z naszych oczu wszelką łzę, bo widząc Ciebie Boże, jakim jesteś,
przez wszystkie wieki będziemy do Ciebie podobni i chwalić Cię będziemy bez końca przez naszego Pana Jezysa Chrystusa" Mszał
Rzymski.
Nie mamy pewniejszego zadatku i wyrażniejszego znaku wielkiej nadziei na nowe niebo i nową ziemię, w której zamieszka
sprawiedliwość, niż Eucharystia. Istotnie ile razy celebruje się to misterium, dokonuje się dzieło naszego odkupienia i łamiemy
jeden chleb, który jest pokarmem nieśmiertelności, lekarstwem pozwalającym nam nie umierać, lecz żyć wiecznie w Jezusie
Chrystusie.

LA EUCARISTIA
La Iglesia sabe que, ya ahora, el Seńor viene en su Eucaristia y que esta ahi en medio de nosotros. Sin embargo, esta presencia esta
velada. Por eso celebramos la Eucaristia "Mientras esperamos la gloriosa venida de Nuestro Salvador Jesucristo, pidiendo entrar en
tu reino, donde esperamos gozar todos juntos de la plenitud eterna de tu gloria, alli enjugaras las lagrimas de nuestros ojos, porque al
contemplarte como Tu eres, Dios nuestro, seremos para siempre semejantes a ti y cantaremos eternamente tus alabanzas, por Cristo,
Seńor nuestro.
De este gran esperanza, la de los cielos nuevos y la tierra nueva en los que habitara la justicia, no tenemos prenda mas segura, signo
mas manifiesto que la Eucaristia. En efecto, cada vez que se celebra este misterio, se realiza la obra de nuestra redencion y partimos
un mismo pan que es remedio de inmortalidad, antidoto para no morir, sino para vivir en Jesucristo para siempre.

St. Bruno School News…. The primary grade teachers, Mrs. Marisa, Mrs. Tellez, Mrs. Kathy, Ms.
Diane, and Mrs. O’Shea, planned a Play Day, “Swingin’ Safari”, on Saturday morning, September 25. Playing and fun were
the main purposes of the morning. It was also the kick off activity to obtain a playground for our school.
The beautiful, sunny morning began with the children searching for and eating a nutritious breakfast of cereal, milk, and
bananas. After breakfast, the children traveled through various stations. Stations included basketball, soccer, jumping rope,
hopscotch, jumping on a mini trampoline, throwing and catching. Mums and pansies were planted to beautify our play
space. An obstacle course was the culminating activity.
Approximately 50 children and parents attended the morning. All the children had a wonderful time exercising and playing
with their friends. We can’t wait until our dream playground becomes a reality!
Nasi Nauczyciele se Szkoly św. Brunona, a szczególnie z klas młodszych: Pani Marisa, Pani Tellez, Pani Kathy, Pani
Diane, Pani O'Shea, zaplanowały grę, która sie nazywa "Kołyszące sie Safari". Odbyło się to 25 września w sobotę. Gry i
zabawy były zaplanowane tramtego ranka. Naszym wysiłkom towarzyszyły plany, aby osiągnąd plac zabaw dla naszej
Szkoły.
Przepiękny i słoneczny ranek zaczął się dla dzieci, które delektowały sie wspaniałymi daniami z owoców i innych
smakołyków. Po śniadaniu dzieci przemieszczały sie przez różne stacje. Stacje zawierały gry w piłkę nożną, w piłkę
siatkową, skoki przez sznur, skoki przez małą trampolinę oraz rzucanie i łapanie.Nasze Mamy zajmowały odpowiednie
miejsc aby podziwiad dzieci. Gry z przeszkodami były wliczone jako kulminacyjny punkt.
Około 50 dzieci i rodziców było uczestnikami tych gier. Wszyscy uczniowie mieli wspaniały czas grając ze swoimi
przyjaciółmi. My możemy teraz marzyd oby odpowiednie miejsce do gry stało się realne.
Las maestras de los grados primarios, la señora Marisa, la señora Téllez, la señora Kathy, la Sra. Diana, y la señora O'Shea,
planearon un día de juego "Swingin’ Safari," el Sábado por la mañana, este 25 de Septiembre. El juego y la diversión fueron
los objetivos principales de esa mañana. También fue el inicio para obtener una zona de juegos para nuestra escuela.
La hermosa mañana soleada comenzó con los niños buzcando y comiendo un desayuno nutritivo de cereal, leche y plátanos.
Después del desayuno, los niños viajaron a través de varias estaciones. Estaciones incluian baloncesto, fútbol, saltar la cuerda, saltando en un mini trampolín, lanzar y atrapar. Flores se plantaron para embellecer nuestro espacio de juego. Una carrera de obstáculos fue la actividad final.
Aproximadamente 50 niños y padres de familia asistieron la mañana. Todos los niños tuvieron un tiempo maravilloso de
hacer ejercicio y jugar con sus amigos. No podemos esperar hasta que nuestro sueño de patio de recreo se haga realidad!

godparents are required to register for and attend a Baptismal
Preparation session. English Baptisms are on the first Sunday
after the 9.00AM or 12.15PM Mass. Polish Baptisms are on
the second Sunday after the 10.30AM Mass. Spanish
Baptisms are on the third Sunday after the 2:30 PM Mass.
MARRIAGE Call the rectory to make arrangements at least
8 months in advance. Your date will be confirmed at the first
meeting with priest or deacon. Pre-Cana conferences are
required.
SACRAMENT OF THE SICK AND COMMUNION
CALLS
Please call the rectory to have a priest come for the sacrament
of the sick. If you have been hospitalized or are homebound
and wish a Minister of Care to bring you Communion, please
call the rectory.

CONFESIONES. Cada sabado de 4.00 PM a 4.45 PM. Cada
dia despues de misa de 7.OO PM. Cada jueves de 3.OO PM a
4.00 PM y 5:00 PM a 6:00 PM.
