127114 Coordinator Support and Monitoring- Social Studies Job Title: Coordinator Support and MonitoringSocial Studies Wage/Hour Status: Daily, Exempt Reports to: Executive Director for School Leadership Operations Pay Grade: D10 Dept/School: Deputy Superintendent Academics Date Revised: June 9, 2014 Primary Purpose Provides support to campus-based personnel in the implementation of the District’s social studies curriculum. Evaluates and monitors implementation of related programs. Qualifications Education/Certification Master’s degree Valid Texas Principal Certificate Special Knowledge/Skills • Knowledge of curriculum implementation • Ability to support the District’s philosophy, programs, and materials in all grade levels • Ability to interpret data and evaluate instructional programs and teaching effectiveness • Ability to provide technical assistance for improved implementation of programs • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills Experience Three years as an administrator or administrative related experience MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Program Management 1. Provides technical assistance to campus-based personnel in the implementation of instructional programs in assigned subject area. 2. Assists with the coordination of all assigned subject area programs and related curriculum and materials. 3. Evaluates effectiveness of the implementation of curriculum and instruction programs for assigned subject area. 4. Monitors assigned subject area programs and makes recommendations for improvement where appropriate. 5. Confers with Curriculum and Instruction Department and supports products and training to improve delivery of services. 6. Keeps abreast of the latest trends and developments in the area of instructional program implementation and services. 7. Compiles, maintains, and files reports, records and documents as required. 8. Anticipates, manages, and resolves conflict effectively. 9. Employs collaborative decision-making processes, and fosters and promotes team building. Frequent prolonged and irregular hours. Frequent Districtwide travel.
