MASS
Children’s Liturgy of the Word
is celebrated at the 10am Mass. Children ages 4 TO 8 are
invited to gather in the Daily Mass Chapel during the liturgy
to listen to and participate in the Liturgy of the Word in a
way that is relevant to their young lives. They return to their
family before the celebration of the Eucharist. No
registration is necessary, however we do ask that only
children between those ages attend.
Children who are 3 years and under are invited to attend the
activities in our Parish Nursery. The Nursery Coordinator has
prepared Bible Stories, Songs
and Activities that are
developmentally appropriate
for younger children. Please
call Heather @ 369-2632 to
register for the Nursery.

about God and grow in their faith development through
bible stories, songs and activities. Please call Heather @ 369

As per Diocesan requirements, we are required to have at least 2 caregivers present in

Reflecting Christ
Transformed by The Eucharist…
Reaching Out into community
May you be strengthened in your inner being with
the power of the Spirit...
that Christ may dwell in your hearts... as you are being
rooted and grounded in love…
Ephesians 3:16

with integrity?
Are you open to opportunities for spiritual growth?

“YES,” then you may be ready for a JustFaith Ministries
spiritual intensive called Engaging Spirituality.
Engaging Spirituality is a prayerful process that invites us
to draw this world down into ourselves, to hold it in prayer
together, and to practice living deeply.

Our Lady of Mount Carmel School News
OLMC School has served families in the Hampton Roads area for nearly 60 years, teaching the whole child in
the tradition of the Catholic Church and of the Nashville Dominicans. With a mission rooted in the Gospel
and in the Church, the school receives and participates in the great command of Jesus Christ to “go and
teach all nations.” With morning and afternoon prayers, weekly attendance at Mass, and daily religion
classes, the OLMC school community values the life and teaching of Jesus Christ.
OLMC School has long enjoyed a reputation for academic excellence, which was magnified in 2009 when it
was awarded the National Blue Ribbon of Excellence for its sustained, distinguished academic achievement.
The Blue Ribbon is a national recognition of what the students have always received at OLMC – a strong foundation in academics, morals, and discipline. The students and teachers, supported by the wider parent community and the parish, engage in teaching and learning in a creative, warm, Christ-centered environment.
Applications for the 2014-2015 School Year are currently being accepted.
If you would like a tour of our school or have any questions about a particular
grade or curriculum requirements, please call Mrs. Tucker at 596-2754.
