Spanish Language
Overview. In this unit, students learn about Argentina in the context of a visit to different
regions of the country. Students talk about the means of transportation people use to travel from
one place to another. They describe the weather during the previous day and today, and predict
what the weather will be like the following day. Students identify the four seasons, and talk
about the weather associated with each season and the clothes they wear during each season.
Finally, students identify several recyclable materials and talk about recycling.
Essential Questions:

● What are the seasons? (week 3)
● What do you recycle? (week 4)
Enduring Understandings:
● Argentina is a large country with a wide range of climates and geographic features.
● Argentina has geographic features and climates similar to the United States.
