“Con A de Astrónomas”, en el
Auditorio Príncipe Felipe

A través de una serie de paneles, se hace un recorrido entre los
principales hitos de la astrofísica donde el papel de la mujer ha sido
fundamental desde la antigüedad hasta nuestros días. El descubrimiento de los púlsares, la estructura a gran escala del Universo o
la medida de las distancias estelares pasearán ante nuestros ojos
explicadas de forma divulgativa y amena. 9 astrónomas de distintos
centros de investigación, entre ellas Josefina Ling, de la Universidad
de Santiago de Compostela y comisaria de la muestra, junto a la astrónoma Eulalia Pérez Sedeño, han compuesto esta exposición cuyo
objetivo es mostrar las aportaciones de 116 españolas que han sido
astrónomas ilustres.

Museum of Fine Arts of Asturias
Ten asturian artists or based in Asturias participate in the exhibition
“Glasses. 10 proposals of artistic ceramics in Asturias” at the Museum
of Fine Arts during March, part of the project “Between bowls. 12 +1
proposals of artistic ceramics in Asturias”, started three years ago.
Sanjurjo Bernardo, Fernando Alba, José Manuel Núñez Arias,
Vicente Pastor, María Jesús Rodríguez, Luis Vigil, Maite Centol,
Gabriel Truan, Tadanori Yamaguchi and Maria Vallina participate in
this show with a renowned potter, Manuel Cimadevilla, introducing
glass as a protagonist. In addition to Their pieces, each of them has
produced a notebook and drawings that can be seen in the exhibition.

Nuria Formentí
Cajastur presenta una exposición itinerante
de la artista Nuria Formentí, que visitará los
Centros y Salas Culturales Cajastur de Mieres,
Avilés y Gijón, para finalizar en la sala de exposiciones de FADE en Oviedo, donde recalará entre el 6 y el 29 de abril
Nuria Formentí es una pintora autodidacta. De niña despuntó su habilidad para el dibujo y la pintura, pero no se toma en serio sus dotes
artísticas hasta pasados unos años. Comienza a exponer en 1999.
Desde entonces ha conseguido grandes logros y una proyección internacional. Recientemente ha mostrado su obra en la Organización
Mundial del Comercio, en Ginebra, ciudad donde en estos momentos
también expone un gran mural en la sede de Naciones Unidas.
Museo Arqueológico de Asturias
Prevista su reapertura en marzo, tras la completa remodelación que
lo ha tenido cerrado desde 2000, el nuevo Museo Arqueológico de
Asturias contará con una exposición permanente que superará las
2000 piezas, con una diversidad de materiales que permitirán un
mayor acercamiento a la realidad del patrimonio arqueológico asturiano.

A self-taught painter
Nuria Formentí
Cajastur presents an itinerant
exposition of the artist Nuria
Formentí, which will visit the
Cajastur Cultural Centres and Rooms
in Mieres, Avilés and Gijón, and
ending in the FADE exposition room
in Oviedo, where it will remain from
the 6th to the 29th of April.
Nuria Formentí is a self-taught
painter. Her ability for drawing and
painting already stood out when she
was a child but she didn’t take her
artistic talent seriously until some
years later. She started to show in
1999. Since then she has obtained
great achievements and international
recognition. She recently showed her works at the World Commerce
Organisation in Geneva, a city where she is also currently showing a
large mural at the United Nations head quarters.
Archaeological Museum
of Asturias
Scheduled to reopen in March, after its complete renovation that has
been closed since 2000, the new Archaeological Museum of Asturias
will have a permanent exhibition that will exceed 2000 pieces,
with a variety of materials that will allow closer to the asturian
archaeological heritage.
