The parish will give each family who comes to Christmas Mass the book “The Four Signs of a Dynamic Catholic” by Matthew Kelly. The Parish Pastoral Council will distribute these books after the Masses to one member of the family. Those who read the book we hope will become inspired to be fully committed and engaged Catholic growing in their faith. The gospel today tells us that Jesus is the son of Mary and Joseph. Mary was betrothed to Joseph when she was found to be with child. Joseph was a righteous man and wanted to deal with Mary in an honorable and compassionate manner. The angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream and told him, “Do not be afraid to take Mary your wife into your home. It is by the Holy Spirit, that this child has been conceived in her. She will bear you a son and you shall call him Jesus because he will save his people from their sins.” The Hebrew name for Jesus is Yeshua or Joshua which literally means “God delivers or rescues!” Jesus came to rescue mankind from their sins. This Monday and Tuesday we have the final opportunities to make good use of the Sacrament of Reconciliation before Christmas. Monday and Tuesday confessions will be at 9am. Monday evening there will be confessions at 6:30pm. (Ingles) (No Misas de 8:30am y 6pm) 4 w e lco m e to our lady of fatima parish d e c e m b e r 22, 2013 Remember a loved one with a Red Christmas Poinsettia Remember a loved one by donating a red poinsettia that will be used to decorate our Church.
