1733 King Street Alexandria, VA 22314-2720 Phone: (703) 739-9500 Fax: (703) 739-0124 [email protected] • www.cmaa.org Updated: 1/30/14 Dear CMAA Member: CMAA University was developed as a way to bring online education to CMAA members and staff training to the club community. Accessible on a computer, this educational resource is launching a new way for CMAA members to earn Club Management Institute (CMI) credits for free as a member benefit. Organized into 10 subject areas, members participate in interactive courses and take a test reviewing the course material.Your login time for each course is tracked to verify your participation. Credits can count toward the requirements for Certified Club Manager (CCM) designation, the Certification Maintenance Requirement, Honor Society and Master Club Manager (MCM) eligibility. It is done at your pace and on your schedule. How does this work? Print the Club Training Center for Members PDF. You will need to keep track of your progress for verification purposes. Check off courses as you complete them. When you have finished a subject area, sign the bottom of the page, add your e-mail address and submit it to [email protected] or fax to (703) 739-0124. There are 10 subject areas worth a total of 73.5 CMI credits, including 9 credits for courses in Spanish. You must complete all of the courses within a subject area to earn credits; no partial credit will be given. The education staff will record your Education Credits. Please allow seven business days for the completion of this step before checking your credit history. Example: Wellness Courses. There are 18 online courses in this subject area. Ranging from 24 to 44 minutes long each, you can take the courses as your schedule allows. Upon successful completion, you can earn 9 CMI credits. To Begin: 1. Visit www.cmaa-university.org 2. Click Sign In. 3. Enter your Username (Member ID) and ID (Birthdate MMYYYY). 4. Select Club Training Center to view options. 5. Select Training Center for CMI Credit. 6. Complete classes by subject area. We hope you will take advantage of this wonderful opportunity to augment your CMAA professional development. Let us know if you have questions at any point in the process. We look forward to working with you to expand professional development opportunities for the CMAA membership.
